Homefield Grange is situated in the picturesque village of Winkton, Christchurch, on the site of a former school, providing quality residential, nursing and dementia care for 64 residents on a permanent and short stay basis.

Luxuriously furnished with a cosy feel with various lounges which are perfect for socialising, to a cinema room, bistro area and hairdressing salon, there’s plenty to keep residents engaged as well as delightful landscaped gardens. All bedrooms are en-suite featuring a flat screen TV, telephone point, safety features and nurse call system.

They are proud to be part of the only care home group to have their own unique award-winning dementia training ‘My World’ which is accredited by City and Guilds. It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, in addition to addressing clinical aspects of care.

As the husband of a resident who has advanced dementia and cannot speak or read or write, I consider Homefield Grange to be an excellent care home and I am extremely thankful for the care given to my wife.

The staff and facilities are second to none. The home has been caring for 3 members of my family. My father has now sadly passed away and my stepmother and her sister remain there. I can't praise the staff enough. Always welcoming and friendly, easy to communicate with and nothing is ever too much trouble.
The care they give to residents is professional and compassionate. My relatives often regard the home as a hotel forgetting they're in a care home! The entertainment and personal care are also excellent. Grounds are lovely and in summer the family sit and picnic on the table provided. Even garden staff are friendly and happy to chat. My only wish would be that the cost was more affordable and that more people could offer this standard of care for their family members.

My mother stayed for 10 days respite. She is 100 yrs old and has stayed here twice before. The facilities are amazing, lovely big bright bedrooms, the dining room, lounges are also very light and bright with lovely views onto the well kept gardens. The staff are very friendly and efficient and do their
best to keep everyone happy and occupied.

The care home is situated in pleasant grounds and is a modern well equipped building. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are cheerful and always helpful. In my experience the home is well run and the care provided is excellent.

The care my mother received in the last month's of her life that she spent at Homefield Grange was excellent. The staff listened to my mother's needs, considered all the family's wishes and gave her the best of care and attention. My mother's room opened out on to the garden which gave her pleasure
watching wildlife and being able to experience fresh air when her mobility was compromised. I cannot thank all the staff enough for their sensitivity in making this very emotional time as pleasant and calm and possible.

Very warm welcome on arrival with my Aunt. Medical assessment completed and care plan put in place. Had stroke two days later - informed immediately, taken to A&E and returned same day with course of aspirin. Respite admission but day by day my aunt started to settle in and at this point in time is
pleased that she is here, hopefully on a permanent basis. Staff always appear cheerful and all disciplines work to provide a caring, friendly environment. Caring team work to cater for each individual client is very evident. If a problem arises speak to staff immediately and quickly dealt with. Billing layout with head office big problem- ruining a day off from work.

I find the staff at Homefield very helpful and welcoming. As soon as we put my mother in law into the home, people went out of there way to introduce themselves and to ask if we needed anything. On a daily basis mum get the best care from the staff. They always look in on her and have a chat and even
provide her with plenty of cuddles too. They always make sure mum is clean and eats as much as she can. Mum came from hospital to come here and since she arrived approx 2 months ago mum has even put on a bit of weight and is a lot happier in herself.
