It's always a hard journey to make the decision to move a loved one into a home. Wiltshire Heights Care Home has made it so much easier. My dad is well looked after, happy and most importantly cared for with a lot of love and respect. He's seen and appreciated for the wonderful man that he is, not just
another old man struggling with dementia. For that, I am extremely grateful and can finally feel at peace with our situation.

My mother moved in a week before the first lockdown, so my experience of Wiltshire Heights has sadly been through a year of rules and regulations due to the pandemic. Wiltshire Heights has been totally professional during this period, keeping residents and staff safe from the virus. The communication
has been excellent, keeping me up to date with Mum's health and well-being. The staff have been innovative in their activities and entertainment for the residents. It has been an extremely difficult time and I have nothing but admiration and praise for the staff at Wilshire Heights.

Wiltshire Heights is a very special place. The staff are very caring and look after my mother very well. It has a lovely garden which residents care use at any time. The general atmosphere is very cheerful and friendly, and the staff are always there to help. According to my mother, the food is very

I have always found Wilshire Heights Care Home to be professionally run, with warmth and humour. The meals are excellent and staff help to cater for individual preferences. My mother-in-law had to move recently when her previous care home closed, at very short notice. She was naturally very upset and anxious about moving. But we had heard very good things about Wiltshire Heights and we were all so happy they could accommodate her. The moving process was handled with great

My Aunt came to Wiltshire Heights for respite after a fall. When she entered the home, her confidence was at an all-time low. The whole family was extremely concerned that she wouldn’t recover her mobility or be able to live independently again, as she wished. Over six weeks, the staff and activities
rebuilt her confidence and encouraged her to be more mobile. On the first day, she phoned me to say she’d been doing indoor netball (from a wheelchair). Before entry, the staff paid particular attention to what she liked doing and encouraged her to join in with community activities, so that she engaged with the other residents. By the time she returned home, there was a remarkable turnaround – she was happy, relaxed and had learnt exercises that she still practices every day.

Wiltshire Heights immediately gave us a feeling of homeliness, comfort, and care. I've always received good, clear and detailed information about Mum's condition and she has always appeared to be well cared for and comfortable. Mum arrived at lunchtime and her food looked very appetizing. I feel very
confident that she will continue to receive the best care. Yes, it's expensive, but that is partly an issue that successive governments have failed to deal with.

My aunt expressed a wish to go into Wilshire Heights following a fall. Your person was extremely helpful in arranging her admission, guiding us quickly through the process and putting my aunt's and my concerns, about respite care for a mentally agile but physically vulnerable 92-year-old, at ease. My
aunt felt well cared for during her stay and feels she can go back at any time - although she now wants to live at home. The only issue you could consider is improving the mobile phone connectivity in the rooms or improving the connectively of the wireless landline phones you use. My aunt also asked if it was possible to dress here earlier, but I am not clear if she raised this with yourselves first which she should have done.

My sister and I were very apprehensive as we dropped Dad off for respite care for the first time during the lockdown. But the professionalism and the empathy the staff displayed, allayed our concerns and anxiety. They were proactive in making everything right for Dad. He was recovering from a bad back
and the team went out of their way to make the room comfortable for his short stay. Dad enjoyed the library room and reported back that all the staff were friendly, attentive and caring. He attended a birthday party for another resident who was celebrating 100 years. His 3-week stay - that he had been dreading - went by very quickly under the superb care of the staff team. And the management team were happy to keep my sister and I informed about how he was doing during a period of lockdown when we were unable to visit at all. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

My mother, at 97 and after a fractured hip operation, reluctantly became a resident at Wiltshire Heights Care Home in May 2017. She was depressed and in low mood having lost her husband, home and friends. With gentle, dignified care, Wiltshire Heights soon restored her old cheerful self. She continued
in good health, enjoying the excellent food, beautifully presented at restaurant standard. She soon settled into the lovely accommodation. The activities team introduced her to a varied range of new experiences and frequent special occasions which she thoroughly enjoyed. But what makes Wiltshire Heights beyond 'outstanding' is it's excellent and inspiring manager who leads her 'family team' by example, and the wonderful care staff who quickly became my mother's friends. They actively sustained both her physical and mental health. While usually a happy person, her developing dementia sometimes made her difficult, but her carers always managed to bring her back to her old self. They celebrated her 100th birthday with her in lockdown and the family joining on Skype, making a memorably happy occasion. I will always feel indebted to those who gave such exceptional care to my lovely mother during her final days and hours.

I cannot speak highly enough about the help, care and assistance that we have received in placing our relative into Wiltshire Heights. They have made her so welcome and she has settled in really well. The peace of mind knowing that our cousin is safe is priceless.

in so many ways to ensure that the transition has gone as smoothly as it could have, especially given the current Covid situation.

Hello, my name is Charlie Osgood, and I am the Home Manager here at Wiltshire Heights.


I started my career in care in 1992, working nights as a carer in a nursing home. I loved the job, and it prompted me to undertake my nurse training in London and return to the same nursing home in 2000 in the position of home manager. I then managed this home for three years.


In the 20 years that followed, I have managed two other nursing homes, worked as a training and development manager and also been a regional manager for a small care provider consisting of five care homes.


I am passionate about care and the need to build positive relationships and work in partnership with our residents, their loved ones, our team, local professionals and advocates to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for individuals living in our home, and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to manage a home as impressive as Wiltshire Heights.

Hello, my name is Sally Bullock, and I am the Head Housekeeper here at Wiltshire Heights.


I originally joined Wiltshire Heights as a night carer and eventually became head housekeeper. I loved both roles, however, I feel housekeeping is where my talents really lie. Before this, I worked in a senior school, however after 25 years I decided I wanted to try something different.


As part of my role, I have the privilege of spending time with our residents on a daily basis, mingling and chatting with them and finding out whether there is anything I can do for them. I am lucky to have a great team who keeps our home sparkling clean and shares my sentiment that nothing is too much for our lovely residents.
