Buckingham House is a purpose-built Care Home providing caregiving for nursing, residential and dementia residents by well-trained and well-led carers and nurses. The home facilitates 24-hour personalised care whilst supporting people to have their independence and dignity.

The home boasts a number of lounges, two dining area, two cafes, a library and hair dressing salon, as well as beautifully landscaped gardens and patio areas. Each room is en-suite and decorated to a hotel standard, whilst each floor has a modern equipped bathroom facility.

The head chef who won MMCG Masterchef of the year, has developed a seasonal menu to suit all palettes, and promote choice. She meets with the people living at the home to hear their requirements and this is reflected in her menu.

Looking at ways to engage with the people that live at the home in a meaningful way is important to the activities coordinator.

The people living at the home are invited to participate in clubs such as gardening, baking, maintenance facilitated by the staff of the home. She also has engaged with the community having local Zumba, Tai Chi, Music for therapy companies attend the home.

Once your loved one is at the home, the team operate a “home from home” feel allowing you to visit the home at any time and offer the opportunities for you to join in any events or meals. Care plans are also structured and reviewed regularly using information provided by family, friends and medical professionals to ensure a meaning quality of life.

Everyone is caring to my wife and myself. They treat her with dignity and compassion. Food is great and varied. All lifestyle staff have a good relationship with my wife. I would recommend this home to other people.

I am a nearly daily visitor to Buckingham House Care Home. I am impressed with the standards of care provided. The staff are extremely friendly, courteous and responsive throughout.
My friend is in a lovely, well-lit room with good facilities and is well looked after.
She has nails cut and manicured
regularly. A trip to the on-site is always welcomed.
Another welcome visitor was a friendly personal trainer arranged by the activity team. He encouraged exercises and motivation.
A TV in the room helps to pass the time.

The care at Buckingham House Care Home is excellent. The staff are very friendly and always make me welcome. They know me by name and are keen to help. The staff are very caring to my husband and myself. They show patience and good humour even though my husband can be difficult. The food is very good
and varied. The lifestyle team are very good and the activities are varied and they are always very kind, and know each resident well. The activities are personalised to each resident.

My wife has been at Buckingham House Care Home for two years. Like many other homes staff retention and minor decoration issues arise but the management team work hard to resolve these. The care teams are constantly training and extremely well led by a manager that knows the home, residents and relatives
and friends inside out. You will always get a warm welcome at reception, tea coffee biscuits cakes also available. Reception is the go to place for anything, even a chat. Nurses run the floors with efficiency and always keep you updated with any changes or incidents with your loved one. The catering team do a great job I recommend the bacon sandwiches if you have an early appointment or stay for lunch you will not be disappointed, looking forward to Christmas dinner. The carers are kind and respectful and most will bend over backwards to accommodate your loved ones needs, will always greet you with a smile, they work long shifts and on occasions have to deal with upsetting situations, well done.

Dad is very happy in Buckingham House, he has settled in very well. The care is excellent here, all staff are so lovely and kind. The food is so good, especially the cakes. Activities are very good and the team are very caring. I would recommend Buckingham House to friends.

The care my dad has received at Buckingham House Care Home has been exceptional. He arrived after a lengthy stay in hospital and was in a pretty poor state, emotionally and physically. The staff have been wonderful, literally nursing him back to health, helping him physically, emotionally and mentally
to recover. As he has recovered, he has also been getting involved with activities and the staff have been wonderful with him, taking the time to get to know him and spending time with him in a way I have not seen in other care homes.
I can't recommend Buckingham House enough - having been at the care home for a month, my dad has decided to move there permanently and I am very grateful to the whole team for making him so comfortable.

From the moment my friends first became residents, they have been looked after perfectly. My friend's last few weeks of his long 94 years he spent being looked after by the team. He was made comfortable, kept his dignity and was made to feel special and important till his last days. I can't thank you
all enough for the support you gave him and still continue to give my other friend.

My husband has been a resident for five weeks. I wasn't sure how he would settle in, but he loves it! The staff are warm and friendly and do their best to action any requests. The home feels happy and has a lovely atmosphere. My husband has hired a physiotherapist to visit and help with his mobility.
This would be a nice and useful service for the home to offer alongside the hairdresser and podiatrist.

This care home is absolutely fabulous. The entire team are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for either my dad or us as a family. My dad is incredibly difficult to look after and all the team are so patient and caring. I cannot recommend this care home highly enough.

I would recommend Buckingham House and think all the staff do a fantastic job. Since my father has been a resident, he has had excellent care from the staff. My mother came to the nursing home as part of a discharge to assess package, the outcome of which is still awaiting. However, I would be very pleased for my mother to remain at the nursing home if that is an available option. I have found all the staff exceptionally kind, caring and very helpful. I

I have been part of the Buckingham House family since June 2015, starting my journey as a Health Care Assistant, right the way through to the Deputy Manager for 2 years to most recently being appointed as the Home Manager in August 2021.
Working within the home, I have discovered that I could not see myself working within any other profession. I am passionate and committed to provide resident led care, empowering those whose home we have the privilege of working within to have the best and most independent quality of life. I love keeping involved in daily living within the home and continue to support residents and the team with daily life at Buckingham House.
