What an amazing care home. I joined my Wife last week for a Celebration Tea the team had organised for my late Father in Law who passed away at Berehill House in March. My Wife's Step Mum is also resident at Berehill House and whenever we visit, we are always greeted with a warm and friendly welcome.
We have spent many happy hours visiting our relatives and it is so evident how well cared for all of the residents are. Everyone is treated with dignity, compassion and love which is obviously genuine and wonderful to see. My Wife and I have often commented that neither of us would be able to do what all of the staff do, they are nothing short of amazing. To the manager and all the team: keep up the amazing work.

We were so pleased to be able to place our Dad (Pops) into Berehill House where our Step Mum has resided for over 2 years. Dad was taken poorly at Berehill House back in August of 2023 when visiting Step Mum and the manager and the team took great care of him until the Ambulance arrived. Sadly the collapse
lead to Dad becoming being diagnosed with Dementia and we desperately wanted to be able to place Dad in the same facility as Step Mum (his partner of 47 years) and after a short period, the manager was able to help. Dad moved into Berehill House in October 2023. Unfortunately Pops' health continued to deteriorate and he lost his fight for life at Berehill House on 16th March 2024 with the family at his bedside. The entire team at Berehill House are absolutely incredible in the love, care and compassion they show to all their residents. They go above and beyond what anyone asks and we will be forever grateful to the entire team. Thank you one and all.

My mother stayed at Berehill for almost 2 years prior to her recent death. Staff at the home are uniformly welcoming, chatty and were always happy to help. The home is decorated seasonally, gardens well kept and residents seem well cared for and had frequent entertainers visiting and occasional trips
out. I was really pleased with how Mum was looked after. Thank you Berehill staff.

Chose Berehill House Care Home as it was very homely and not institutionalised. Care given is excellent, very friendly and efficient. Feel confident the residents are happy and very well looked after.
Staff are very attentive and sensitive to residents' needs.
Bedrooms are kept immaculately clean
and tidy.
Our relative has been at the home for over five years and is happy and contented and has an excellent relationship with the staff who she calls 'the girls'. There is a real 'family' feel about Berehill, both the staff and the overall environment.

My mum was dropped off in May to give my dad respite but has stayed in as a permanent resident. The family regularly visit and are extremely happy to see she is getting the best care possible, well done to the manager and the team as from what we can assess, the whole home is relaxed and vibrant which

Both my parents became residents at Berehill House in July 2018. They settled in quickly and my mother is still there (my father passed away in 2021). We have always been happy with the care at Berehill House, the staff are patient, kind, knowledgeable and supportive. The home, itself, is clean, tidy
and there are activities for those who wish to join in. My mother often states that they are "very kind" and she is clearly contented and comfortable.

My dad moved into Berehill House in January 2023. Immediately, we were impressed with the level of care he received and surprised with how much affection he has been shown. The carers don't walk past him without either saying hello or stopping to give him a kiss or a cuddle....which he loves! Never
having experience of care homes before, we feel we got very lucky with this one and we sleep so much better knowing he is in good hands.

Just recently, two of the carers took my mum and another resident out for a lunchtime meal at their own expense. It is not the first time that staff have gone above and beyond my expectations. I always feel welcomed into the home by all the staff. My mum tells me not to worry about her as she is so
well cared for. This I see in action when I visit her. So good to know she is safe and happy.

My wife was taken into care at Berehill House on 6th May 2023 for respite, and has stayed there ever since. She has been treated with care and understanding at all times. She has been happier in the care home than she was at home, because she was among other people instead of just me, and she has always
been a people person. The staff have been considerate, caring and thoughtful of her needs when faced with her illness (Alzheimer's), and have kept me informed of any problems.

Firstly, I can only be full of praise for the general care of my brother. He has settled very well. The staff's kindness and support in every way has eased all our concerns for his well-being for his future. They are always so welcoming and kind in the busyness of their day. Just so cheerful! It does
make a difference. They continue to fill us in of the events of the week and how he has been, activities wise, we have a photo of him planting a flower in a pot which he said he enjoyed. As for the fees - he doesn't contribute as he is on a 12-week assessment hence no rating provided.

My brother came to the residential home in May. It has been a comfort to know that he has been looked after so well. Very well informed about what is happening with him, like doctors appointments and also when he was poorly he went to hospital. The staff really can't do enough for you, they seemed to
be busy all the time, making sure everyone is happy. My brother is very happy there, he says he gets on with them all and that's a great comfort to me.

Since coming to Berehill House from the hospital, Dad is now more mobile, and his post-operative delirium has cleared. He is washed and put in clean clothes daily and well fed.

My mother has been so lucky to have a place at Berehill House. All of the staff are caring without exception. They don't just care for the physical or medical needs of residents but their mental well-being as well. The food is excellent and my mother has settled amazingly. I have total peace of mind

I found Berehill House very friendly and helpful, they meet my mother's needs and do it in a caring way. Dealing with dementia is not an easy task but all staff show a very good understanding of their needs.
The office staff are approachable with any of my concerns so overall I'm very happy with my
mother's treatment.

Michelle’s past experience is in a residential care setting for the last 21 years. Michelle has worked most jobs in this setting from a housekeeper to the deputy, and therefore feels this supports her role now as the Home Manager. Michelle has completed several NVQs in Health and Social Care, including a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. for health and social care. She has a real passion for maintaining dignity in care and that the residents are treated with compassion and respect. Michelle feels it is really important that the residents enjoy their lives here at Berehill House and that they are supported to remain as independent as possible, as well as to be able to express their views and choices.


In Michelle’s personal life, she has a Husband who she has lived with for over thirty years, they have two grown-up children, three cats and a Labrador called Sammy, who can sometimes be seen at home. In her spare time, she enjoys football with her family.
