Throughout her stay my mother received very special care. Staff treated her as a friend or relative and knew what was required to keep her happy and comfortable. Her end-of-life care was handled sensitively with compassion and dignity. Thank you.

On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to thank all the Staff at Braeburn Lodge for the kindness, compassion and care they gave my father over the past 6 months. Their dedication and compassion ensured my fathers last few months were happy and comfortable. The whole package from accommodation,

My father recently died at the age of 94 and stayed at Braeburn Lodge for three years. The care he received was excellent and for the last two months of his life, he was cared for with compassion and affection.

Lovely, clean home. Good selection of food, friendly carers who get to know individual residents' needs. Well organised and fun activities that residents are encouraged to join in with, whatever their ability.

My mother was very apprehensive about moving into a care home. Braeburn Lodge care home, with its friendly and caring staff, soon put her mind at rest. Whilst looking for a care home we looked at several homes but Braeburn Lodge stood out head and shoulders above the rest.

Since my Mum has been a resident here she has found a new lease of life.
She has participated in the entertainment and other social outings where she had very little to do in her own flat.
She looks a lot healthier and happier and has begun to put weight on, due to the very good and healthy fresh
food they receive daily.
The staff are very friendly and professional and caring to every single resident.
Their care is constant and nothing is too much trouble, for which we are very grateful.
This is far and away the best care home in our opinion.

I have just been admitted here from the hospital, what a lovely home. The manager was very kind when she came to visit me in the hospital. My room is very large and clean. Staff are very kind and helpful.

My dad stayed at Braeburn Lodge in a transitional bed before coming home.


All the staff were absolutely brilliant with him and I would recommend this nursing/care home to anyone needing this type of home for future care needs.


My dad loved the food and put on a bit of weight in the 2 weeks that

he stayed there.

One year ago I wrote an extremely unfavourable review relating to the care of a dear friend.
I am happy to report that 9 months on - thanks to an excellent new manager and her permanent successor - a very different experience pertains.
The home is now well-led, staff are energised and caring and although
there is still some way to go, the daily experience for my elderly friend is now extremely positive and I am once again happy to recommend Barchester dementia/nursing care to anyone with a demanding service user.

My husband has been here since November 2015. It deteriorated from a lovely place for a person with dementia to live in, to a very mediocre and unsatisfactory home.


After an interim manager brought it around in the last five months, I no longer worry about out him. The new manager has a great track

record of managing local care homes so it has become a lovely place to visit a resident. I am so glad my husband is still there and I love visiting him daily.

I broke my right hip on Easter Sunday 16.04.2017 and via treatment at various hospitals, I arrived eventually at Braeburn Lodge for a recuperative holiday April - June 2017.
During my stay at Braeburn Lodge, I luxuriated in comfort and care.
Sadly, like all things pleasant, it must come to an end.
I
would certainly recommend Braeburn Lodge for comfort and caring - if their needs were similar to my needs.

Hello, my name is Jane Lee and I am the General Manager of Braeburn Lodge.


I am delighted to have been promoted to the role of General Manager at Braeburn Lodge. I have been working in different roles since the home opened in 2014 and more recently as the Deputy Manager and then as Acting General Manager. I am looking forward to supporting the team to deliver the very best care and life enrichment to all our residents.


We have built a very strong community engagement team at the home and have fantastic local support which has enabled the home to establish robust community connections.


Braeburn Lodge is a beautiful home with a kind and friendly staff team. We are looking forward to welcoming new residents and visitors to the home so they can experience a warm and friendly welcome.
