My Uncle resided in De Lucy for nearly a year. He was very happy and well looked after. We cannot thank the staff enough for caring for him until the day he passed.

After being part of the De Lucy House family for over 3 years my dad recently passed away. For all of that time his care has been exemplary and the kindness, love and respect he received at the end of his life meant so very much to us as a family. The staff helped him get the very best from his final
years, despite living with the increasing challenges of dementia, taking the time to share his pleasures and to include him in new activities. In the past year their dedication to keeping the residents safe, while keeping families in touch as much as possible, and still finding fun and joy in each day, has been remarkable. As a family we feel very lucky to have found De Lucy and send them all our heartfelt thanks. We have no hesitation in recommending this exceptional home.

My mum has recently passed away after living at De Lucy for the past 10 months. I wanted to write this review as a thank you to all the staff and carers at De Lucy for the wonderful care they gave my mum while in the home. Their care and compassion and their patience were limitless. They would always
try to involve her in activities but were equally happy for her to sit quietly in the conservatory where she could look out on the gardens. I know they made my mum's life as happy as possible and at the end, they did everything to make her passing as comfortable and pain-free as possible, even to sitting with her holding her hand so she was not alone at the end. Thank you everyone.

My mum and dad spent the final 16 months of their lives as part of the De Lucy House family. During that time they were treated with respect, kindness and love. All of the staff work as a team and the residents, and their families, are at the heart of everything that is done. De Lucy House is a special
place and so are the people who work there. The building is light, bright and beautifully furnished. The team are constantly looking at how the environment both inside and outside can be improved to make the residents feel more comfortable and at home. The food is freshly cooked on-site and snacks are always available. The activities are varied and plentiful and truly enrich their lives. I miss my visits to De Lucy House – l miss the residents, their families and most of all the staff. You will always be a part of my extended family, thank you for your love, support and compassion.

I am very impressed with the care my Dad has received. He is treated with the utmost respect by all of the staff. His room is very pleasant, the facilities are excellent and the service is first class. The quality of the catering is very high, with home-cooked meals available and also special meals
or snacks if requested. My Dad is very relaxed and happy there and says that it is excellent. Everyone seems genuinely very caring. Thank you.

My mother, who suffers from dementia has been made to feel very welcome in the home. She is stimulated with all of the activities available and is extremely well cared for in all aspects of her daily life. The staff are amazing and we could not be more pleased with our choice of a home.

My mother has been at De Lucy House since May 2019, the quality of care at the home is outstanding. All staff are very caring and always have time for the residents. The Manager is fantastic, always has time to speak to relatives and is always hands-on when needed. I couldn’t recommend De Lucy enough
especially after experiencing another home in the area. You won’t find a better run home in the area than De Lucy.

My mother has been here for 18 months and absolutely loves it. She has dementia which is worsening but all the staff treat her with respect and dignity. There is a lovely family atmosphere at De Lucy House and it is always a very happy place to be. The range and quality of food is very good and nothing
is too much trouble. There are lots of activities and trips out for the residents. All the staff are very caring and approachable. Nowhere is perfect in this day and age but this is the best care home I've seen.
Any problems or concerns I have are dealt with quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend De Lucy House. Well done to the manager and all the team.

Both my father and mother have died at De Lucy House Care Home. They have both been very well looked after. My mother enjoyed her lovely room for at least 18 months. Staff were very friendly. The room was kept perfectly clean. Staff visited my mother very regularly and were very kind to her.

De Lucy House is such a special place, our Grandmother was a resident for the final year of her life after living independently for over 100years. The atmosphere is so positive and warm, De Lucy House is a place for living and thriving, not just existing. The staff are so loving and caring, the attention
to detail and the effort made to provide a wonderful home for the residents is outstanding. Our Grandmothers wishes were taken into account and her care was beautifully and tenderly catered for around her needs. She truly flourished in the care of the staff and the surroundings. As regular visitors, we were always welcomed with a smile and towards to end of her life, we appreciated the chance to discuss plans for her care gently and kindly with the staff.


I honestly cannot fault a single thing and can only praise the staff and the home for providing outstanding care. Thank you so much we will always appreciate it, Nannys final year was a gift and it was wonderful to see her so happy.

I don't know much about dad's routine at De Lucy House as sadly he doesn't remember so I am pleased to see him active and happy in photos of events going on at the home. However, I do know that he is cared for in a warm, safe and comfortable environment by very friendly, helpful and cheerful staff for
which my brother and I are very appreciative of.

We lost my grandad a few years ago and my nan became very isolated and lonely. She then had a couple of falls and she could not be fully cared for at home so she moved to De Lucy House.
Since then, she has made wonderful friends, engaged in lots of different activities and we no longer have to worry
about her being on her own. Seeing a smile back on her face is the best thing.
The staff go above and beyond to care for every single resident based on their individual needs.
Bedrooms are spacious and have en suites. Food is prepared fresh on site and the catering staff are more than happy to facilitate any special dietary needs. Lounges and kitchens are homely and cleanliness is maintained to the highest standards throughout the whole building. The manager is always willing to listen to any concerns and doesn't mind "getting her hands dirty". All staff are always very polite. Trips out and activities are provided daily regardless of residents' personal abilities. Dignity and respect is always maintained.

My father resided in the home from August 2017 to his death on October 27th 2018.
The home itself is well set out and kept clean, homely, welcoming and odourless - a big plus. It is welcoming to people at all stages of their older age and caters for the active and mentally agile as well as the infirm.


During the time that he lived in De Lucy House, my father gradually changed from being a functioning elderly man with the start of dementia to becoming extremely dependent. His death was expected but in the end sudden. Through all stages of his decline, my father was beautifully cared for and, indeed, there were times that I believed that his care was even better than I could have wished for.
The staff, at all times, were respectful and courteous. They did their best to encourage my father to extend himself within his limitations. They cared for all aspects of his well being. I could not have asked for a better place for my father to spend the end of his life.

My 93-year-old mother lives in her own home but is unable to use her own bath and fitting a wet room is not possible. She visits to have a bath in the home, where there are easy access baths and a carer to assist my mother in bathing, getting in and out of the bath etc. She is very happy with the professional
and dignified way that she is looked after during her visits. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. After her bath, she relaxes with a cup of tea and some cake, before my sister or I pick her up. We would certainly recommend De Lucy House and should our mother require residential care in the future, De Lucy House would be our first choice of home for her.

Everything overall seems to be of a very high standard, it is, however, evident that staff are stretched - I feel there needs to be more available. My aunt seems to have to wait a very long time (understandably) when she pushes the 'call' bell.

I regularly visit my Mum at De Lucy House and am reassured of the care and attention given to her and fellow residents. Recent additions, like the sensory room, add to the different experiences offered. The weekly activities are numerous, cater for all residents and are a credit the activities head.
My Mum enjoys the singing and the pat the dog sessions.
She always has a smile on her face when I visit, all the staff are very attentive and make you feel welcome. The building is well maintained and I would recommend to anyone considering it as a choice.

My wife and I visited my sister yesterday to celebrate her 90th birthday although we were a day late for the occasion. We are extremely happy with all the care and attention she is receiving, and so is she. All of the staff are so helpful and we are very pleased to not have to worry about her. She is
very appreciative of all the activities that are laid on for the residents and says she wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We were very grateful for the excellent lunch provided after travelling quite a long journey. Fortunately, we have other relatives that are nearer and can visit more frequently.

During my latest visit to see my father, I was pleased to see that the standard of care he was receiving continued to be of a high level. The staff have time to look after the residents, or sit and chat to them as needed, as well as performing all their normal duties.
The management staff are always
happy to discuss my father's care without me feeling that I am impinging on their time.
I am very pleased with how my father is being looked after.

My name is Lauren Tubby and I am privileged to be the manager of De Lucy House in Diss.


De Lucy House is a brand new home which has been designed to provide the best possible environment that assists the devoted team in putting the residents first in everything they do.


My role is to manage the day to day running of the home and I am dedicated about ensuring that residents receive personalised care at all times. I find it incredibly rewarding to support residents and see them thrive as individuals.


Every member of my team is committed to making a difference and supporting not only the people who live here, but their families and friends too.


My personal philosophy is to always have my door open to listen to anyone who wants to talk. This communication with others enables me to create an environment which is eternally improving to make our residents happy.
