Very very impressed with all aspects of De Lucy House. In particular all the staff (who are of course by far the most important element). Best way to express it is that if I were asked to make a suggestion that would improve the experience, I could not think of a single thing.

From the moment I was showed around and explained the ethos of Greensleeves I knew it was the right place for mum to move to on discharge from hospital. The building is new so naturally the surroundings bedrooms and lounges are well appointed and comfortable. That is important but it is the care which
is given at De Lucy House which sets it apart from other care homes. I could tell that the staff are carefully selected and trained but above that the staff are naturally caring very kind and gentle. The staff ratio is good so that the staff can spend time with each resident, so that everyone feels special and knows someone is available for them. Residents are well stimulated by regular activities if appropriate. I can't speak highly enough of De Lucy House. I rate it as excellent.

My husband and I moved into De Lucy House in October 2015. My husband suffered from Parkinson's disease and dementia.
The staff were very kind and supportive.
My husband died peacefully in the home, after Christmas and I will always be grateful to the staff who allowed him to die with dignity.
The
staff are marvellous. They are so caring and nothing is too much trouble for them.

DeLucy is an wonderful facility, newly constructed and custom built. The building is conveniently located with a beautiful rear area. The staff who make the home what it is are exceptional with many privately expressing to my wife and I how happy they are to be working here. Several hare shared they
have been in the care business for a number of years and DeLucy is the best place and environment they nave been employed at. As a former paramedic I was able to care for my mother along with my wife for as long as possible but it became obvious that the standard of care she required with advancing age exceeded that which we were able to give. Having professional management and care staff, obviously happy in their employment and extremely accommodating has allowed us to make a wonderful transition from home. Living nearby we are able to visit each day while the tremendous burden of caring for an elderly parent is shouldered by others in a trusted setting.

This home is very new, but our dealings right from the start with the Family Liaison Manager gave us confidence in placing our father at De Lucy.


He has been with the home for 6 months now but despite previously being at times a difficult person to satisfy, he has settled down very well, and seems

very comfortable with the staff, who almost always seem to have smiles on their faces.


Because of distance, the family are not always able to make regular visits, but we are confident that he is getting the Dementia care that he needs, and we can rest assured that he is being well looked after.


Befitting a new organisation there does seem to have been a few staff changes, however that has now settled down.


The management have regular meetings with families and the manager who seems genuinely interested in "caring" operates an open door policy.

De Lucy House is a new build care home designed to a very high standard. It has good sized individual rooms and a range of nicely furnished communal spaces that give the place a pleasant, airy atmosphere. I am particularly impressed with the ethos of the home which is based on the Eden Alternative and
strives to care for psychological and emotional needs as well as the physical and medical aspects of care. Residents are encouraged to make themselves truly at home, and the approach by staff is that the home is principally thought of as the home of each individual who lives there, rather than a place of work. I look forward to visiting and feel very welcome. Staff are very approachable and support to residents to help them live a meaningful and happy life. The support my father received when he moved there enabled him to settle in very quickly. I am confident he is being well cared for and is safe, which is hugely important to me and my sisters, as we all live some distance away.

De Lucy care staff were kind and very considerate to the needs my father-in-law during his two respite stays with them. As a nature lover he was given the perfect room which overlooked the river Waveney.
Family and friends were welcomed when visiting and the consensus was how well, relaxed and happy
he was. Thank you to all the staff.

The home tries to engage the individual resident in activities that suit their needs. The carers are deeply committed to the well being of the residents and do their utmost to respond to them with warmth and a genuine respect for their dignity and happiness.

This is a lovely place in which to live in, with excellent and very caring staff. I have no hesitation in recommending it. I have been doing so to my friends and relatives already. Luckily we heard about it through a friend who also pointed out how easy a journey it was from London by train. I wish
we had known about it earlier, as my Mother would have probably had fewer hospital stays during the preceding months while she was living in sheltered housing. The extra care provided here would have made her life much easier and safer. She would have enjoyed having more company. The care is outstandingly good, with well trained and kindly staff. As far as I could see, it was a home from home and not at all like an institution. I was there with Mum at all hours of the day and night. The residents were treated always with the greatest of respect and courtesy.

As far as I can tell to date, the care received by my relatives within the care home has been excellent. They seem happy and have settled in well. In addition I understand they have been supported by staff in taking trips away from the care home, which has added to their satisfaction and enjoyment.

As the ex-wife of a gentleman who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease 5 years ago and after a few years of poor care quality - I am now so pleased to say that De Lucy House is providing top quality care. All the staff are competent, compassionate, friendly and caring - I am so happy that this care
home has opened in Diss and the health and wellbeing of the gentleman concerned has improved beyond my expectations.

My name is Lauren Tubby and I am privileged to be the manager of De Lucy House in Diss.


De Lucy House is a brand new home which has been designed to provide the best possible environment that assists the devoted team in putting the residents first in everything they do.


My role is to manage the day to day running of the home and I am dedicated about ensuring that residents receive personalised care at all times. I find it incredibly rewarding to support residents and see them thrive as individuals.


Every member of my team is committed to making a difference and supporting not only the people who live here, but their families and friends too.


My personal philosophy is to always have my door open to listen to anyone who wants to talk. This communication with others enables me to create an environment which is eternally improving to make our residents happy.
