Very caring and friendly staff, who know everyone's name. Excellent food plenty of tea. Good company. Perhaps more fresh fruit? Rooms and in fact the whole establishment fresh and clean at all times. Good laundry service. Plenty of clean towels. Thank you for use of telephone and bringing emails and
photo's sent. Activities not interesting to her at this time.

My mum has dementia and is living at Haddon for end of life nursing care, I looked around 9 nursing homes that I compared to Haddon. From my first phone call I was put at ease, after months of hospitals I finally felt someone really wanted to give mum the help she dearly deserves. They make me feel
I am 100% part of her care, I'm always welcomed by warm, smiling, attentive staff, nothing is ever too much trouble. They care for mums every need, giving her care, support, dignity with true kindness and love. I have met dozens of staff and each and everyone deserves my thanks and admiration, they are truly in the right profession for the right reason. I feel extremely lucky to have found such an inspiring home for my amazing mum to spend the rest of her life in. I will be eternally grateful x.

Cannot praise this care home highly enough. It is clean and bright in all areas. My mother is treated with great care. All staff, that includes house keeping, carers and management are pleasant and friendly at all times. After all the scares about care homes in press and on TV, I feel happy and confident
mother is safe and well looked after in Haddon Hall Care Home and I am sure this high standard will be maintained.

This has been like staying in a highly recommended first class hotel, you should be proud of all the people you employ, they are joyful, caring and very polite. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 2 weeks here after my hip operation. If even I have cause for a care home again - This will be it! The food has
been tasty but a little more variety would be nice, the soups are a credit to the chef.

I have always found the staff to be kind and considerate when visiting my friend at Haddon Hall and have been welcomed with a cup of tea and coffee. Facilities were clean and to a high standard. The residents have been encouraged to join in activities and my friend was eager to tell me she had planted
plants on the balcony. The menu seemed varied and of good choices. Well done Haddon Hall!

My wife has only been staying at the care home for just over one week, but find every member of the staff have been most helpful to from the fist time I made enquiries. My wife has been in care homes for five and a half years in Cheshire and a short stay in Buxton In short space of time I new it was
the next best thing for my wife to be. The home is clean and homely the food and the staff are tip top. Only just over a week so we will see, but in the short stay we have been here it looks good.

I have been a Registered Adult Nurse since 2006 and currently teach nursing therapeutics and medication management as well as contemporary approaches to diabetes for The University of Derby online. Before joining the team at Haddon Hall Care Home, I worked for the NHS for a number of years.

Hello, my name is Richard Vaughan, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Haddon Hall.


Having worked in customer service for most of my life, I take pride in putting people first and ensuring service is king. When I joined Haddon Hall I was delighted to see how nice, warm and friendly the team here are and how special they make our residents feel.


My role as client services manager involves supporting people through the process of choosing a care home and offering advice, guidance, reassurance and compassion for individuals and their loved ones. I feel very honoured and humbled to have the opportunity to be able to help at each stage of the process, from showing people around our home to assisting them on moving-in day and everything in between.

Hello, my name is Sharon Gillespie, and I am the Home Trainer here at Haddon Hall.


I have an NVQ level 5 Management in Health and Social Care and a Petal level 3 in Teacher Training Award, and I have worked for Porthaven for nearly 12 years.


Haddon Hall is an amazing home to work in; the staff and our residents are fantastic, and we think of ourselves as one big happy family. I thoroughly enjoy my role and find training new care staff incredibly rewarding. We pride ourselves on delivering person-centred care and making a positive difference in the lives of our residents.


I have two grown-up children who I raised in Cheshire, and I now have five wonderful grandchildren.

Hello, my name is Keith, and I am one of the Activities and Wellbeing Coordinators here at Haddon Hall.


As an activities and wellbeing coordinator, I coordinate and support the planning, creation and delivery of our home's activities and wellbeing programme, which aims to encourage our residents to participate in various engaging activities and hobbies. I spend time getting to know our residents so that I can produce a programme of activities that cater to their specific interests and assist in the whole-home approach of delivering person-centred care.


I have worked for Porthaven for nine years, and I still thoroughly enjoy my job!
