All staff are genuinely interested in my parents well being and care for them as best they can to very high standard. The food is consistently good. The medical assistance is very good. Highly recommended from me.

We moved my mum to Thirlestaine Park for palliative care. Our first contact with the nurse reassured us regarding the nursing care and impressions of the home environment were very good, not dissimilar to a 5* hotel!


The transition to the home from the hospital was well managed and quick, as was

the administration. Once in her room, the level of service was exceptional. We really felt that nothing was too much trouble and the nursing and care staff, without exception, went above and beyond. We had no concerns whatsoever and would not hesitate to recommend - many thanks

After looking for a Care Home for my 97 year old Mother who, after refusing to move from her flat for years, finally agreed she can't manage on her own at home. We were very impressed with Thirlstane Park which was more like a five star hotel and by far the best Care Home in Cheltenham. She was on
the Nursing floor and settled in immediately. She loved the staff, the meals were delicious and she could have her hair done in the Salon every week. She was a lot more awake than she was at her flat where I used to find her slumped over the side of the chair asleep when I arrived. She loved the nurses, who cover 24 hours a day. She had a good sense of humour and used to joke with them. Sadly, she passed away 3 weeks ago but it happened peacefully and painlessly with her favourite Nurse holding her hand. I am so pleased I chose Thirlstaine Park for her last days.

1 weeks stay after a hip replacement. Very happy, relaxed atmosphere and genuine care. The food was delicious and the surroundings comfortable.

After being let down by another care home last December (the day before my godmother was due to be assessed by them for her discharge from Hospital), we were faced with locating another home at very short notice. We visited Thirlestaine on Friday, they assessed her, arranged the move and she entered
the Home the following Thursday. My godmother does not wish to leave her room (her choice), but all staff are very friendly and helpful. We have eaten ourselves from the resident's menu and it matches hotel food. With no relatives, and as we live in Devon, we rely upon our monthly visit and occasional unannounced visits by friends of my godmother to form an impression. Without exception, they have indicated how impressed they are with the home and the staff, a view that we can only echo. Before choosing the initial home, we visited and examined a number of other homes for suitability; we are pleased to say that this is superior to them all and we have no regrets about choosing Thirlestaine.

A newly built modern home with facilities for caring for 'nursing and nursing/dementia'
My relative arrived quite confused and agitated, within a few weeks she was comfortable, settled and content. The staff are friendly, kind and attentive and always willing to spent time chatting with residents,
they are willing to engage with relatives to discuss residents condition and health.
I have full praise for a well run, professional home. The food is prepared and cooked on site, including proper menus etc.
The food looks good and my confused relative loves the food.

My Aunt has been at Thirlestaine since January 2016 and has settled in very well. She has moderate to advanced Alzheimer's which is always going to be challenging, and the staff deal with her and the other residents brilliantly. They do not hesitate to call the doctor when it is needed, the food is
great, the hairdresser comes every week and I feel that she is treated with dignity and respect by everyone. I can't recommend the place enough!

The care my husband received was faultless. When the times came that I could no longer care for him at home, we were both happy for him to go to Thirlestaine where he has been several times before for respite care.
All aspects of his care were first class - the nurses and carers became close friends
to both of us and I will always be grateful that he passed away peacefully among those who treated him with love and dignity.

Our friend was admitted to the nursing floor of Thirlestaine Park with a terminal condition. He was very well looked after by attentive and caring staff. They were very good at communicating with us and asking his GP to attend when needed. He was treated with great respect and died peacefully.

As a family we can not speak highly enough of the loving and professional care our mother was given during the last weeks of her life at Thirlestaine Park.
Our only regret was that we did not move her here far earlier.

I started here on a fortnight's respite care after being taken ill at home, but owing to circumstances it became necessary to spend another two weeks here. I have been well cared for by all the staff during my stay and I would fully recommend it on all accounts.
I was very impressed by the welcome

I came here for a rest after major surgery, I have been here for 2 weeks, such a lovely place. Everybody is so kind and helpful. I got the peace and quiet I needed, lots of lovely food. I am now feeling well enough to go home, I will miss the care I got here.

I came here for respite care after a hip operation and I really feel the benefit of my three-week stay. All members of staff helped to build up my confidence with their caring and positive attitude. This was greatly helped by excellent food, a beautiful garden, thoughtfully planned rooms in a calm relaxed
atmosphere.
I do feel though that the activities could be better planned, and although the staff concerned were warm and willing, people I think they could be helped by more training and support. I would certainly recommend Thirlestaine Park as an excellent care home for both short and long stay.

I moved my 95-year-old mother - elderly and frail with dementia to Thurlestaine 6 weeks ago from a care home in East Cheshire. I received excellent support from Thurlestaine Park management to enable as smooth a transition as possible. Mother has been very well nursed, cared for and respected. She and
I are listened to and the communication in this home is very good. The only area in which I am unable to fully comment is activities. The staff appear young and limited in their experience of how to communicate .

My mother was a resident in this care home for approximately 8 weeks. During this time, she was looked after by wonderful, caring staff who treated her with respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were always friendly and approachable; my mother was always clean and comfortable.
The home is very pleasant and my mother had a lovely room. It was nice to be able to sit out on the balcony when the weather was good and the gardens were lovely.
