The yearly review meetings also help us all, including my mother, to give input and request any changes which might help. As my mother could not carry on at her house in Bournemouth, Lakeview has given us all the opportunity to give our mother a safe and secure environment where we can visit as often as we wish in the knowledge that mum will be well looked after. The staff and management are friendly and caring and the home is fresh and clean every time we visit.

I joined Lakeview in January 2022 and have worked in adult health and social care for 14 years. I started my career as a carer and progressed to the role of Deputy Manager and this included mentoring team members and becoming a trainer.
As a Deputy Manager, I enjoy interacting with the residents as well as their family and friends and getting to know them all individually. I strongly believe in understanding the needs of each resident understanding resident to ensure we are offering relationship-centred care.

I am the Lifestyle Lead at Lakeview Care Home. My background is working in a private hospital as a Patient Liaison Officer, and I have now transferred these skills into my position here. We work hard as a team to understand each individual residents particular hobbies and passions, and to provide activities to suit them and their needs.
