Yet again big thank you to the team, they can not do enough to help us, and, dad always looks great. His carer is amazing! The whole team could not do more to help, and the place is always lovely and clean.

My mother has resided at Lydia Eva Court for one year now. She was initially placed there for respite care so my sister and I had no choice in where she was to be placed. We are so thankful that NCC found a bed for her there. The staff are second to none, the home is always spotless and my mother certainly
appears to enjoy the food. We feel part of the “family“ of Lydia Eva Court as we are always made to feel welcome and are informed of what is going on at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.

My father was admitted to the hospital on the 28th of June. He sadly passed away on the 11th of July. We are now on the 20th of July and still have not had one phone call from this so-called care home. Management is beyond belief. A couple of very good carers, most need total training in care and compassion.
I could write a book in the 7 months my dear dad was in this place. It’s clear he was only a number paying an obscene amount of money for a total lack of care. Things went missing. He was never taken to the lovely gardens, unless he was with a family member. Barely any interaction, it was beyond belief.

Not a good place. Many complaints, not listened to, poor management. Items going missing all the time. Other peoples washing in room, no activities for residents, never took out for fresh air, escaping and falling over. Not enough staff. Looks the part but definitely not. Medication not given as prescribed.
Very bad, care notes not filled in. Had camera in the room, all been recorded for the future.

Lydia Eva was touted by social services as the Norse flagship. This was the first time my friend needed residential respite care due to my own medical needs. I had many conversations with him and it sounded good. My friend arrived understandably with some anxiety. He was given an ensuite room on the
1st floor. He was not medically assessed on arrival, during his stay or at the end. I had carefully packed more than enough underwear and shirts for clean items every day. I spelt out more than once that I would do the laundry when he came home. This was not respected, in fact, some laundered items were given to me moments before we left. He spent the whole week on floor one. No help to access the famous gardens at LEC. There were no activities, just TV. I was horrified opening his case at home to find 4 large items belonging to someone else. Most disgusting was the discovery of someone else's toilet bag in my friend's case. We binned them. My friend also stank. Very poor. Avoid!

I am unable to 'review' all the options because I do not really spend much time outside of my mum's rooms (due to covid restrictions). However, things are gradually going back to normal and as this month marks the 1st year of mum's residency I am extremely happy that she is in Lydia Eve Court. The easiest
way I can review this is to say I would live there myself if I had the choice when I am mum's age.

It’s been several months since my last review, and I can honestly say my view of this wonderful home hasn’t waived,
I am humbled by the staff, the care they lavish on the residents is just amazing, take Mother’s Day, for instance, I was in my mum's room and heard two activities girls doing the rounds
of the residents, they were talking so loving to them even given them a kiss, then they came into my mum's room, with a little posy of daffodils and a trolley full of cakes and treats, and tonight mum had soiled herself, the girls came in, changed her bed, washed her even combed her hair, to me they always seem to go one step beyond.
We all know the last few years has taken its toll on residents' family and staff, but the care to me is just amazing, the place is spotlessly clean, the food always looks appetising, everyone from reception maintenance carers to cooks and team leaders are always welcoming.
So from the bottom of my heart thank you.

From the moment mum arrived, I was impressed with the overall feel of the home. The staff are quick to inform by mobile text anything we need to know and mum so far is very content with the "flat" (as she calls it). The home is somewhere I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we as a family are completely
happy with the service we receive and the staff that work within its network.

Each time I have visited Lydia Eva Court over the past 5-years, I have found it to be clean, warm and tidy, with no unpleasant smells I have experienced in other homes. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I can see they treat the resident with patience and dignity. Rooms are spotless, with no stained
furniture or bedding. Meals are of very good quality, and hot drinks are provided regularly.

During the time of the declining health of my father, and at the time which saw local visiting restriction I could not have felt more involved and included in the care for my father. Staff showed exceptional kindness and patience whilst caring for him and have updated me on every development.

I was very upset and felt guilty sending my mum into a care home as I could no longer cope with her needs at my home. The staff are absolutely wonderful, my mum is very well looked after and loves all the girls at the home. I now know I made the right decision for both of us.

The staff are very pleasant and always welcoming. They are very kind to my husband and the home is lovely and very clean. They are also kind and lovely to me and my eldest daughter. their uniforms are always immaculate I can't speak highly enough of this home and staff.

This is a review of the appreciation and recognition of the staff contribution at the Lydia Eva Court, who have been supporting her during the last seven years. At 94-years-old, being married for 73-years, losing her husband and having to begin a new phase in her life was a daunting step to take. She
arrived at Lydia Eva Court, knowing no one, with myself and another relative living nearly 100-miles away. She soon settled into the secure, caring environment, which she saw as her new home. As regular visitors, we have always been warmly welcomed by the staff, who were always aware of Mum's circumstances on the day. Any problems were always reported during a visit or involved a sensitive and reassuring telephone call to me. During any visit, it was noticeable that other residents were always treated courteously and with respect and dignity as individuals.
We cannot imagine how difficult times it must have been, not only coping but going the extra mile in maintaining such high standards during the Covid pandemic. During this period, I have always been kept well informed and updated on a regular basis by letter or text when conditions and visiting arrangements changed. Because of visiting restrictions during this time, the staff became her family, and that was a great comfort to us.

The carers and reception staff are really lovely. They are always friendly and helpful and treat the people they care for with respect and dignity. Lydia Eve is always very clean, not only reception but corridors and personal space ie room.

Not able to comment on some of the below due to my mother being new to Lydia Eva Court. My mother appears very well cared for. I am very pleased regarding her appearance physically and her presentation. Mum has dementia and it is unfortunate that there is little improvement psychologically but appears
happy most of the time.

Mum spent the last 14 months of her life in Lydia Eva Court. She was extremely well cared for in what was a really difficult pandemic year.
The whole team worked together to bring a family feel to the home, everyone was bright and positive, which made Mum feel relaxed and safe.
It was comforting to
know Mum could pass in her own room and not be moved elsewhere.
