Dad has found moving into a care facility quite difficult, but with the care and support of the staff at Ebor Court he is settling in and coming to terms with his situation. I have the peace of mind knowing that my dad is being well cared for and is not in a vulnerable situation any more.

We have always found the staff very friendly, approachable and well informed. It is evident that the staff respect the residents dignity. There now seems to be adequate staff on duty, although during the summer holiday period there were several occasions when we visited that we found the standard in
the bedroom was lacking, not due to the staff on duty, but because of shortage of staff.
My wife had worked for some years as deputy manager in a care home. We therefore both fully appreciate the superior quality and standard of care, décor and activities which are provided. We are very happy with the home, however we are disappointed that there has been an 11% rise in fees this year.

Ebor Court is dad's thid care home due to problems with behaviour and aggression caused by dementia. Since moving there he has gradually become more settled and the staff are very caring and understanding towards him.
My experience with this care home is excellent as it's only just under 2 years old
and therefore built especially for these purposes. The surroundings décor and soft furnishings are lovely and above the usual standard.
I feel the residents keep their dignity.

Selection of Ebor Court was made by my son and daughter (I am widower) in comparison with others. Then the selection was being founded upon the perceived strengths, they compared with several others really. Since I have been here only 3 or 4 weeks, it may be thought my initial impression COULD CHANGE.
My personal instinct negates this; I have a strong suspicion that I shall be happy and I am 90 and a half years old.
