Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Thank you for your wonderful comments for the care and support we provide your mother here at Cleves Place. We are sorry to hear that the food offering has not met your expectations. We understand the importance of making mealtimes enjoyable for residents and we take great care in our menu planning to offer a variety of food that meets everyone’s requirements. We hold regular catering meetings with the residents to discuss their preferences and encourage them to put forward suggestions that will improve their mealtime experience. Your mother has taken part in these meetings and just last week we ordered and prepared a particular meal that she had personally requested. Your feedback is important to us and the home manager has already discussed your comments with our head chef. She will meet with your mother on a one-to-one basis so that we can create a meal plan that she likes and enjoys.

We’re very pleased to hear that you are happy with your father’s quality of care. We also very much appreciate your comments around the range of activities, and that you are pleased with your father’s active engagement in activities that interest him.
We would like to reassure you that we continue to monitor your father’s incontinence with care, support and assistance whilst allowing him to maintain his independence. We have discussed this with housekeeping and the domestic team are going to be adding extra checks on your father’s room and more regular cleaning. We appreciate your feedback regarding staff smoking on-site, however, it is our policy to promote a healthy environment and place of work while understanding and appreciating that many people continue to enjoy smoking. Care UK’s policy allows people to smoke only within designated areas outside and forbids smoking close to building entrances and windows.

Joined: 2015
I joined Cleves Place in 2015 as I liked Care UK’s vision and values. The home has a great family atmosphere and we have a fantastic team here who work really well together to deliver the best care and experience for residents.
I love being able to make a difference in a resident’s life. If I can complete my shift knowing a resident has smiled and is happy I feel I have achieved my goal. I also enjoy empowering colleagues to do their best work.
I’ve been working in the care sector for over twenty years and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with new colleagues and watching them grow in confidence in their role.
I also like to keep learning and developing my own skills. One of my biggest professional challenges has been completing my Level 5 Diploma in Management. I’ve also had an article published in a palliative care publication.
