Abney Court is a purpose-built care home set within the beautiful grounds of Abney Hall Park in Cheadle. The care home provides residential, respite care and compassionate end of life care, as well as specialist dementia care.

The friendly and caring team at Abney Court get to know each resident and put together a care plan that is tailored to their unique needs. They ensure residents can lead a fulfilling, independent and enjoyable life.

Residents have access to a café where they can catch up with family and friends. My Mum has been a resident for over a year at Abney Court.
It has taken her a while to settle but that is due to her deteriorating Alzheimer's, not the home.
The staff are friendly and caring.
She and the other residents are always treated with respect and they ensure residents' dignity is maintained.
The
rooms are cleaned daily and are homely and bright.
Regular activities are scheduled each day and there are frequent day trips. The day trips cost extra which you have to bear in mind as weekly rates are expensive.
On the whole, I am happy with the care my Mum receives, I can sleep at night knowing someone is there looking after her.

Mum has now been in Abney Court Care home for 6 months. She has now settled into the caring, friendly and warm atmosphere of the home. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming to residents and visitors.

Excellent care and attention. A happy busy place where residents interact in a supportive warm and caring atmosphere. Good activities attuned to the ages, interests and abilities of residents. Difficult to identify anything that is not excellent or near excellent. Lovely new building and gardens in

Lovely, caring, and friendly staff. Beautiful location and clean and modern facilities. The home just has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and all the residents appeared happy and well cared for. I hope I am placed in somewhere as pleasant when and if my turn comes.

The atmosphere at Abney Court is warm and welcoming. Throughout my mum's stay, all staff were friendly and caring. My mum felt happy and well looked after. The accommodation is exceptional and everything is spotlessly clean. I would recommend Abney Court to anyone looking for a first class care home.

I found sleeping on nylon sheets very hot. So much my pj's were wet through, we had to have the sheets changed to cotton.

My husband really enjoys coming to Abney for day care on Wednesdays. He enjoys going on walks and loves the cinema. I am happy that the food is very well balanced - not too much stodge. I am also happy that the atmosphere is very clean and that there is no smell usually connected with care homes. I
am very satisfied with the care he receives from all the staff.

This was my first visit and I was very impressed by the standard and reception from staff at all levels.
I only put good on value because I just think these places are so expensive. I totally understand it is very difficult looking after people with dementia and you all do a grand job. It is very

Abney Court was a real find for me, having to find a care home for my mother who was suffering from dementia. I looked around a number of homes but none matched the facilities of Abney Court. She became a resident in October 2015 and since then the care she has received has matched my expectations.

Very welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Coffee shop concept really good. People want to come and visit. Rooms clean, extremely well appointed, very welcoming staff who learn all family names and visitors get a very warm welcome. Cannot fault the facilities but guests need encouragement
to take part. Food of a high standard.

My aunt was one of the very first residents to stay here when it opened in 2015, so we have seen it grow and prosper into a wonderful, caring home. The staff are marvellous always have time to stop and have a conversation with you. I have had many laughs with them. They look after my aunt with such
meticulous care and its the first care home that my aunt has not complained about- keep up the good work!! I myself have no complaints regarding all staff cleaners, handyman, carers, management, cooks, they are all AMAZING!!

Abney Court provides it's residents with a warm, caring and safe environment. Nothing is too much trouble, whether it is catering for a family lunch in the private dining room or getting the family dog a drink of water.
My husband is receiving excellent care and because of this, is making a rapid
post-operative recovery. I can't speak highly enough about the staff and their friendly support for all residents. Only one improvement - Sky!!

This care home is an exceptional example of individualised.personal and compassionate care. They have looked after my mum with such kindness and put so much thought into how to make her stay with them happy and stimulating, always thinking about her welfare. They have shown the same degree of concern
to us as relatives and knowing mum has been so well cared for has helped the family deal with our difficult personal circumstances. The staff are warm, approachable and families are always welcome to be involved. A wonderful role model for the way care services should be run. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Job Title: Home Manager

I have 14 years of experience in adult social care and children's services.


I’ve worked hard through the years to gain skills and knowledge in many areas of health and social care for adults and children, and I have progressed through numerous roles over the years. Most recently, I achieved a registered manager’s role.


In this role, my focus is on ensuring we provide quality care and that residents and their families are happy. You need to have patience, good communication and listening skills and empathy. I love communicating with residents, their families and my colleagues. Every day I feel inspired to work alongside my team to provide good standards of care.


Knowing that we provide a positive environment and good quality of life for residents makes me proud in my role.
