Fountains Lodge is a purpose-built dementia home offering both residential and nursing care. The home offers short stays too (including palliative care), to help both carers and their elderly loved ones at times when they need a break or a little extra support.

All bedrooms are tastefully decorated and offer en suite facilities, while some come with patio doors providing direct garden access. The home also own café as well as lounges and private dining areas for family and friends to come and enjoy when visiting their loved ones or celebrating a birthday or anniversary together.

Fountains Lodge is situated in Southborough, Tunbridge Wells a few minutes from all its amenities – shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, and has good transport and road links, making it ideally located for visiting family and friends.

At Fountains Lodge, staff take great care to focus on the person. It’s important for residents to feel at home, so it creates a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and try to cater for all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at Fountains Lodge, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

My father has been residing in Fountains Lodge for two years and it has been very good for him and my family members.
My dad can no longer do many things and needs help for almost everything, and the care and friendship extended to him by all the staff he comes in contact with has been superb. The
building is well-designed for its purpose and well-maintained.

Fountains Lodge Care maintains friendly and support. I have every confidence in the professional general care and the general overall atmosphere and continue to be grateful for the knowledge of care being in good hands, I would hope that telephone access is improved, sometimes the phone can ring too
long without being answered and resulting in trying again, even though it is not answered either side of the meal times. Recently I tried contact using the extension number over three days!
My overriding concern has been fee increases. I acknowledge that fees have to be increased annually 7% and that costs including utilities, staffing, maintenance, care etc have been subject to unprecedented financial conditions but I took issue with Bupa on a fee increase of 15% in January 2023 followed by a further increase of 11.5% in December.

Mum has now been cared for by Fountains Lodge for 3 months. She is very frail and completely immobile with high care needs. The care has been excellent right from the start. Staff are friendly, kind and affectionate towards Mum and always respect her choices. They are also welcoming and open with us,
her family. The home is clean and bright and every effort is made by the excellent activities team to keep residents occupied and entertained and to understand their likes and needs. They made a wonderful fuss of Mum on her 100th birthday which helped make the day special for us all. Mum is treated as an individual with great efforts made to learn about her life and history. It was the most traumatic time for us when Mum had to move into a care home and all the staff at Fountains, including administration and reception staff made the whole process simpler and less worrying. We chose the home in the rush as we needed to place her somewhere urgently but are so glad we chose Fountains Lodge.

My mother has only been in this home for a week, but she seems very calm and settled. The care team are very helpful and takes their time with the residents. The home is very clean and tidy and there are lots of activities to choose from.

As a family, to have my brother moved to Fountains Lodge Care Home rather than being able to get him home was upsetting but he needed 24-hour end-of-life care which was not possible at home. Fountains Lodge provided a care package that gave him and us, as a family, the best alternative. His nursing
needs were excellent. He had the best of care and all his needs were met with dignity and kindness. As a family, we were welcomed and all our concerns and worries were handled expertly and promptly for which we will always be grateful.

Mum has been a resident for over three years and has been well cared for by all the staff, from laundry, cleaning, caring staff, activities team and management. The staff have always been very approachable, helpful, kind and loving to both Mum and our family. The setting up of the relatives gateway
has given daily insight into the daily life of a resident. In Mum's final days, all staff treated Mum with dignity, love and concern. I cannot recommend the home enough.

When we were looking for a home for my husband's Mum, the moment we walked into Fountains we knew this was the right place for her! My mother-in-law has now been a resident for 6 months. In that time she has been shown nothing but kindness and compassion. The nursing staff always have time to discuss
her health, talking things through and sharing their expertise, even though they are always so busy in their days caring for everyone! Communication is very good. Everybody at Fountains is professional, gracious and kind and there is also a great sense of fun within the home. The activities for the residents are wonderful and varied, so much thought has gone into organising the events, the details are outstanding. My mother-in-law loves her room and her garden view. The gardens are kept beautifully and so colourful. This transition from home to a care home is never easy, but Fountains have made it as easy as it can be. Thank you all for your wonderful and dedicated care.

My mother moved to Fountain Lodge Care Home in 2021 and was with them for nearly two years before her passing.
Three members of staff, in particular, always have time to discuss Mum's care. The whole team are lovely and kind to Mum and any visitors she has. I am so glad she was there at the end as
Fountains Lodge, in conjunction with the hospice, provided excellent end-of-life care in familiar surroundings.

My wife came here on the 16th August and we have found everyone very helpful and caring from the manager and reception staff. All the carers are very good and don't hesitate to help people they see need them. The whole building is spotless, food very good. Rooms are a good size with ensuites. All their
clothing is washed daily. So all together, a very good home.

The home is quite modern - it doesn't look old!
The gardens are very well kept and clean and tidy with lots of shrubs and flowers. The reception is very clean and tidy. The office staff are very polite and helpful. The care and nursing floors are very clean and staffed by competent and caring people.
The home organises events and activities for the residents. There is a hairdresser and nail clipper on site. Overall - very good.

My mother who has advanced Alzheimer's is very happy at Fountains Lodge. Despite having a complete aversion to even the idea of a care home, she already thinks of Fountains Lodge as her home and likes to engage in any activity she can.
She is treated extremely well by the staff and loves being around
other people and having things to do. As a visitor I find Fountains Lodge such a happy place and am delighted to see Mum so settled. We can always find somehwere pleasant to spend time with my mum be it in a comfortable lounge or in the lovely gardens.

My mother moved to Fountains Lodge Care Home in August 2022, after her health deteriorated rapidly. The care she receives has been consistently excellent. Nursing staff and carers observe her carefully and are quick to spot any changes. My mother is treated with kindness and compassion and is well looked
after. It is clear she feels safe and content in the home. We visit very frequently and staff are always welcoming and will make time to talk, despite the many pressures on their time. They do an excellent job, in often challenging circumstances. It feels as if they are with us as a family every step of the way on this difficult journey.

This was our first visit to see my auntie. On arrival at reception, the lady was busy with someone else but another lady from the back office came out and took us to see auntie - she talked to us about her and seemed to know a lot about her. Auntie was in her room - she had been earlier and had taken
part in activities. We hadn't seen auntie since before Christmas and she looked much happier - her hair was looking as she liked it. Aunty said that she was happy.

I am always well cared for and comfortable. I spend a lot of time resting now however there are activities I enjoy occasionally when I have the energy. These include music, entertainment and gardening club. The food is excellent and I enjoy socialising at meal times. I like my room. I have my own things
