Netley Court is a purpose-built residential care home set in the heart of the village of Netley Abbey and sitting right on the waterfront giving stunning, waterside views that provide residents with a calming and relaxing outlook. Initially, my father did not want to go into a care home, but he soon changed his mind. The friendliness and care given by all the staff enabled him to settle very quickly to the extent that he preferred to spend Xmas at the home, rather than come to us.

My grandfather prior to moving to Netley Court was struggling at home with poor health and was very lonely. He now has a new lease of life since deciding to move and although not an easy decision he admits it was one if the best things he has done.
He joins in everything going and never has anything
but praise for the management and staff.
It is a pleasure to see him being upbeat and enjoying life and I can't thank you enough for this.
Netley Court is a beautiful place with a stunning view, it reminds me of a hotel rather than a Care Home.

I have visited Netley many times to see my dear friend who has resided here for several months.
An an ex-nurse it fills me with great comfort to see the high standards that this home delivers.
My friend is so happy and always tells me how wonderful the staff are. I have seen them working and nothing
ever seems to be too much trouble.
Moving into a care home is never an easy decision but it has certainly been the best decision my friend made as she now enjoys life.
The home had a real liveliness about it coupled with a warm and friendly atmosphere
Keep up this great work, Netley Court is a credit to you.

My mother spent the last 5 months of her life at Netley Court and had nothing but praise for all the staff. I saw for myself how patient and caring they were. They were so kind whenever she became anxious and really worked hard to ensure she settled into the home. She enjoyed the activities and was
always encouraged to take part. They managed to get her eating again and putting on weight. She loved her room but also liked to take advantage of the different sitting areas in the home. It always felt more like a hotel than a care home.

A friend of mine who is living at Netley Court was only staying on a respite stay. He has now decided that he is going to be staying on a permanent basis.
He is very happy with the quality of care that is provided, he really enjoys the food, the company of the staff and the other residents.
The
home always has a happy atmosphere and this reflects on to the residents, who I have seen and have great relationships with staff and other residents.
The activities that are provided varies daily and my friend really enjoys this part of his day.
I would just like to thank all the team at Netley for all of there hard work and support.

My wife and I cannot thank the team at Netley Court enough for caring for our parents so well during their three weeks of respite care. We have heard many positive comments from them both regarding all aspects of their stay. Food, staff, fellow guests and excellent care throughout and in particular
during the few days when they were not well.
It was very reassuring for my wife and I and we enjoyed our holiday far more in the knowledge that they were being well looked after. We are also really pleased that our parents have decided to return later in the summer for another stay where we feel sure they will enjoy all the facilities and care that Netley Court offers including the beautiful waterfront garden.

My grandad is currently residing at Netley court. The care staff and management provide outstanding care and my grandad is so happy there. I would recommend this care home to anyone. It is a lovely place and has a very family orientated feel to it.

Although a residential home, the level of care and medical attention offered to my fiend was simply superb. He was recovering from surgery and stayed for a short rehabilitation period. He thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings, activities and particularly the friendship of the other residents. An extremely
friendly home with superb staff.

Netley Court has shown amazing and devoted care to both my parents. When my father was dying and was in the hospital the staff insisted that they could offer palliative care for him and he returned to Netley Court to pass his final days in the warm, loving and familiar surroundings that he knew. My
mother has remained at Netley Court as she has the early signs of dementia and again, the staff have shown such an understanding of her difficulties that she is unaware of her increasing mental deterioration. The privacy of residents is cherished and they are treated with great dignity by everyone. The home has a happy and vibrant atmosphere with a full programme of activities for their residents; a delightful garden with wonderful views over Southampton Water and the food is excellent with a good choice. I cannot recommend Netley Court more highly and wish that there were more care homes which came up to their excellent standard.

Superb facilities, very bright, welcoming and spacious. Individual care plan for post-hospital discharge. All staff very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. The location and views from this care home are simply superb and are in keeping with the overall atmosphere of the home.

Mum has been living at Netley Court for over a year now. She has Alzheimer's. Before taking up residence mum had respite care in a number of local care homes so we had some experience when it came to choosing a place for her. Netley Court had not been open long when mum arrived. Although we knew
the lovely location by the waterfront and the building design were outstanding, there was no care quality track record to refer to. We need not have worried as the care provided has been wonderful. The staff are lovely and are well organised so that there is a consistency of carers. Staff turnover has been low. The senior care team call me promptly with any concerns and there are regular care plan reviews. The entertainment managers are enthusiastic and offer a good range of activities. Residents are gently encouraged to join in if they wish to do so. The Chefs also deserve a special mention. The food is varied, very good there is plenty of choice. This is a very good care home.

Our dad moved into Netley Court about 18 months ago. My family and I were so relieved to find a place that did not look or feel like a traditional care home and that we thought dad would like. It was warm and friendly while looking more like a nice hotel and the staff seemed to have an enlightened attitude
about what a care home should be. Dad's care there was excellent. The staff are lovely and made a real effort to meet his sometimes complicated care needs. On the social side, they realised he was quite self-contained with his iPad and kindle, but there was clearly plenty going on around him. The food is very good with lots of choices. Family members joined him for meals on occasion and very kindly the staff helped us set up our own Boxing Day meal in the bar so he could still have a taste of family Christmas. As his health deteriorated, any issues were dealt with in a very caring, sensitive manner and the family felt fully supported by the attitude of the home. A really good place.

I have received excellent care and support and I have pleasure in recording that the staff have been wonderful. Recently there have been changes in staff but new arrivals have been at the same calibre as those who have left. Activities are well organised and are particularly valuable for those on respite
care. There had been a slight lowering of food standards but are now very good.

Our mother moved to Netley Court in December having lived in the same house for 48 years. She is looked after so well that she has gained weight, become much more sociable and engaged in the world and has regained a sense of humour that we thought was lost years ago. Netley Court is beautiful, calm
yet welcoming, not too big and with lovely views of the water and gardens. Activities are varied and interesting and the staff are fabulous. Residents are not expected to get involved - they are gently encouraged but are free to choose what they do each day. The management seem to understand how the best care is delivered and go the extra mile. Children from the local school and nursery come and spend time with residents, dogs are welcomed (which the residents love) and they even have happy hour and visits to the pub. Netley Court treat residents as people, not as old people - with respect, humour and great care.

I stayed at Netley for 2 months following a hospital stay. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will miss all the staff so much. You cannot get better than Netley Court! Looking forward to coming back!

The care home was amazing in every respect. Total peace of mind that my father was being very well looked after. The staff were brilliant and worked with my dad to allow him the right amount of independence and helped with advice with nutrition which dad has taken on board.
The home is like a 5 star
hotel and does not feel like a care home which is great. I would thoroughly recommended this home and is a hidden secret. The admissions manager was amazing and she deserves an award along with the rest of the staff.

My wife was well looked after in every way, according to those who visited her while I was away on holiday. My wife says that she was frightened by something but cannot say what it was beyond that some of the residents appeared to annoy each other. It is very difficult for me to assess how much of this
fear is related to her Alzheimer's. It may just be that her fear is actually because she fears that she is being primed for more permanent residential care and has nothing at all to do with Netley Court. I am confident that Netley Court is a very safe environment and have already booked for another 2weeks in March.

Four weeks in respite care at Netley Court has been a very enjoyable time for my friend. She has been well looked after, made friends and was made to feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff were lovely - always friendly and smiling, creating a positive atmosphere for all the residents. She has enjoyed
the food and the services provided (hair dressing etc.)

That joy for life spills over into their fun and lively personalities that give constant pleasure, not just to me but to my team too.


My experience:
With over 20 years of experience in a variety of care management roles, I am delighted to return to looking after residents. I hold a Registered Manager’s award and a City & Guilds teaching certificate.


About me:
In my spare time, I love getting out into the outdoors with my dog, spending time with my family, eating out, and reading.

What I Do:
I joined Cinnamon, as Deputy Manager at Netley Court, in May 2023. I work beside the General Manager as part of the management team who makes sure that both residents and staff members are safe and well looked after. My role is to ensure that every resident in Netley Court receives high-quality care which is well deserved.


My Experience:
I have worked in the Care Sector since 2012 when I started my journey as a Care Assistant. In 2019 I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Community and Social Care Studies. Working with and for people who live with dementia has always been my passion. I would like to think that I am making a difference in residents' and families' lives by supporting them and fulfilling their needs.


About me:
I am originally from Poland. I love to go back there for a holiday and spend some quality time with my family and friends. My lovely partner and I have a daughter who is my complete world. I am a big pet lover. I have 2 cats Elsa and Biscuit. I love good food and dinner parties.
