Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Dear Marvin, we are pleased to hear that your mother is happy with the care she’s experiencing at Prince George House. Our dedicated lifestyle team work hard to ensure there is a variety of meaningful activities on offer each day, including reminiscence and sensory activities for residents living with dementia. Whilst the care team at Prince George House offer support with personal care whenever needed, we do advise relatives purchase their own toiletries including shampoo and shower gel as these are not provided by the home. Where residents require support to visit local shops to purchase these items, this will of course be offered.

We appreciate you taking the time to feedback about your wife’s experience at Prince George House, although we are saddened and surprised to hear of your comments surrounding mealtimes and the moving of furniture. Residents are provided with a selection of nutritious meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner times, whilst our snacking stations are well stocked throughout the day. Our care team also keep a record of resident hydration levels as part of a comprehensive care plan. We encourage residents and their families to flag any maintenance issues to our maintenance team, as they are dedicated to ensuring our facilities are always well-kept and in full working order. This includes items of furniture that need replacing or installing, so every resident has everything they need without inconvenience.

We are pleased to report that your wife loves getting involved in the group activities at Prince George House and has a great relationship with our lifestyle team. We have a dedicated lifestyle team which focuses on both 1-2-1 time and group activities. Job Title: Home Manager
I joined Care UK in 2015 after achieving my nursing qualification in Romania and working there as a Nurse.
I was looking for a new challenge and decided to apply for a nursing job in the UK. Care UK was recommended to me, and I’ve been here for the past eight years.
Moving to the UK and succeeding in my role in a completely new health system has been the biggest professional challenge in my career. I’ve risen the ranks, starting as a nurse and moving from Clinical Lead to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager.
To do this job well, it’s important to be caring and compassionate, have effective communication skills, problem-solving skills, leadership and resilience. My favourite part of the working day is when I feel that I’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life. I aim to do the best I can to fulfil my job role while practising kindness.
Since I moved to the UK, the residents at Prince George's House and my colleagues have become my second family, and I love and value them all as much as my own family.
When I’m not working, I like to chat with my son and his family who live in Romania. I also unwind by reading, listening to music, playing training programmes to improve my language skills, watching films, and travelling.
