Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback regarding Prince George House in relation to the care delivered to your brother. I am glad to hear that our staff provide a pleasant environment and your brother has improved since he been with us.
With regard to your comments on physiotherapy, as this is a service provided externally from the home, the respective General Practitioner will be asked to make a decision on your brother’s needs. However, I can confirm that we have already taken steps to inform the GP, in order that an assessment can be made.
We are always grateful for feedback, positive or negative, in order that we can continually work to improve our service. Once again, thank you for taking the time to pass on your comments. We are sorry the care we offered your father fell short of expectations, however, following our meeting with your brother in which we agreed on different strategies of support, this improved and was most helpful. This meeting was invaluable as, although we do everything possible to help people settle in quickly, some residents do take some time to accept all aspects of their care from new people. We recognise there was an occasion when personal care was not provided promptly and we have apologised for this.
We are always keen to improve our care delivery and you have subsequently met with the senior management team to talk things through. Prince George House is a highly regarded Ipswich home – the Care Quality Commission rated it as good and it enjoys very favourable ratings on this site where everyone is able to record their experiences. Direct relatives and resident engagement and feedback also remains very favourable from those using the service regularly. Once again we would like to apologise that your experience has not been to the standards that we constantly strive to achieve.
At Prince George House we operate an open door policy and would always encourage any residents or relatives with any concerns to discuss these with our home manager at the earliest opportunity.

Thank you for your recent feedback regarding Prince George House. We are delighted to hear that you enjoy your visits to the home and would be extremely likely to recommend our service to others. We are pleased to hear that you feel that your husband is well looked after and safe.
Thank you also for your comments regarding the room temperatures and activities at the home.
Regarding the room being warm, as you already mentioned, the weather has been extremely hot recently and we have taken additional measures to provide comfort to the residents. All our suite corridors, lounge and dining areas are air-conditioned and we have provided extra fans in the rooms where possible. The family are also welcome to bring any equipment they feel would help. Residents have been encouraged to occupy the lounge and dining areas, which tend to be cooler.
With regard to activities, we currently have 4 lifestyle co-ordinators within the home, with at least one every day (including weekends), organising activities for the residents. We have recently arranged a men’s club, motorbike events and summer fete games specifically aimed at involving younger male residents. We are also planning to put a small gym area in place to encourage exercise. At Prince George House we have an open door policy, and you are always welcome to visit and share any other ideas you may have.

Thank you very much for your comments and positive scores about the cleanliness of the home and quality of the food offered. With regards to staffing levels, we do a full dependency analysis for each resident which is used to plan the care team, in order to ensure that care is safe and appropriate for residents’ needs at all times. However, we take feedback very seriously and provide frequent opportunities where relatives can give feedback and ask any questions regarding the care their loved one receives at bi-monthly relative meetings. All relatives are welcome and we look forward to seeing you at any of the upcoming meetings you are able to attend. A monthly review of care plans takes place for each resident and relatives are invited to provide input and discuss any aspects. There is also an open door policy with the home manager should you have any points in the future you wish to discuss. In this instance though we would be happy to pass on your feedback to the home manager, who will contact you.

Job Title: Home Manager
I joined Care UK in 2015 after achieving my nursing qualification in Romania and working there as a Nurse.
I was looking for a new challenge and decided to apply for a nursing job in the UK. Care UK was recommended to me, and I’ve been here for the past eight years.
Moving to the UK and succeeding in my role in a completely new health system has been the biggest professional challenge in my career. I’ve risen the ranks, starting as a nurse and moving from Clinical Lead to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager.
To do this job well, it’s important to be caring and compassionate, have effective communication skills, problem-solving skills, leadership and resilience. My favourite part of the working day is when I feel that I’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life. I aim to do the best I can to fulfil my job role while practising kindness.
Since I moved to the UK, the residents at Prince George's House and my colleagues have become my second family, and I love and value them all as much as my own family.
When I’m not working, I like to chat with my son and his family who live in Romania. I also unwind by reading, listening to music, playing training programmes to improve my language skills, watching films, and travelling.
