of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

We would also like to thank you for your excellent scores on the food and drink, safety and security in the home as well as the management and staff who provide dedicated care and support to residents. We value all feedback and are sorry to hear that the laundry service has not been meeting your expectations. Since our new home manager has been in place, the laundry machinery has been addressed and the laundry process has been assessed with the support of the laundry team. We are pleased to confirm that since addressing the machinery, no issues have occurred and a new approach to our laundry service has been agreed which, going forward, should reduce the issues previously experienced. Job Title: Home Manager
I qualified as a Nurse in Portugal in 2010, and my first care job in the UK was for Care UK.
I left after five years to progress my career, but I decided to return because I believe in Care UK’s values and commitment to caring for residents.
Care UK is the best place I have ever worked. The support provided to colleagues is fantastic. Providing care is about being passionate and committed. As Home Manager, I believe it’s important to listen to and support residents, relatives and colleagues in the home on a day-to-day basis. I work hard to make a difference in their lives.
The safety and wellbeing of the residents living at Cavell Court of the utmost importance to me, and ensuring all procedures are followed is an important part of my role. My favourite part of the day is walking around the home every morning to talk to each resident and team member.
When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy time in the garden and do DIY at home.
