Wardley Gate Care Centre is a brand new, purpose built, luxurious, state-of-the-art residential care home for older people, operated by the award winning company Care Group Enhanced Care Limited which has 30 years' experience in this sector and famed for its fair price guarantee. The Home is located in Wardley, Gateshead close to Leam Lane, Heworth, Pelaw, Bill Quay, Hebburn and Washington with Pelaw Metro Station only 500m away.

The Home provides luxurious accommodation for permanent residents, long and short term respite care as well as trial stays. Wardley Gate also provides specialist care for anyone less mentally alert due to dementia in their dedicated units which are staffed by specialist experienced and caring staff to make life as rewarding as possible.

I cannot thank and praise all of the staff enough at Wardley Gate care home for all of the care they give, even more so at this time. They have and continue to keep our parents safe, well and happy.

Our father only moved into Wardley Gate on 25th July 2020, a couple of days before his 88th birthday but sadly passed away on 11th December 2020. However, we couldn't have asked for more from all the staff at the care home especially under the current corvid restrictions. Even though we couldn't visit
him we had regular video calls and received daily updates and photo's on how he was doing. The transformation in only 4 months was amazing the staff encouraged him to walk, join in with activities and mix with other residents, all this made us feel reassured we had made the right decision moving him there and happy knowing he was looked after and cared for. Thanks to the Care Home Manager and all her team we saw him smiling, singing and being happy, or the Gramps we all used to know and that was such a comfort to all the family.

My mother in law spent her last year in the care home. She was extremely settled and happy here. The staff were fantastic, very caring and compassionate. Every aspect of her needs was catered for. When she was unable to feed herself the staff spent hours feeding her and trying to tempt her with a variety
of foods. There was a good selection of activities to engage and stimulate her. She was always immaculate, well fed and looked after. Thank you for all your hard work.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Wardley Gate since December he is on the ground floor in a lovely spacious room. After a few niggles at the beginning after a family bereavement, she has now settled in quite well.
I have to say the staff on the ground floor have been fantastic and patient with
her, they are always cheerful and more than happy to help, especially the seniors who have just taken over her care and sorted everything out for which we are very grateful.

Mam has been a permanent resident in Wardley Gate since April 2016 and has settled in well. She has a lovely bright room on the ground floor and now classes this as her home. Management and staff are friendly and approachable and although busy, are always there for the family as well as the resident.
The entertainment staff are very good at encouraging her to join in various activities i.e, choir, Tai Chi and regular gentle exercise classes. She has formed relationships with the staff and they understand her needs and preferences. It is a relief for our family to know that she is safe and well cared for 24 hours per day and that if required, staff are happy to accompany her to hospital, even in the middle of the night and stay with her until family can get there.

An excellent care provider, with first class management and staff, who are all friendly. Management are open and very helpful. Staff are wonderful and go out of their way. Amenities are excellent. My father has only been in there a short time but knowing he is being looked after by such caring staff
gives me a great piece of mind.

My father has been a resident at Wardley Gate Care Home since October 2015. He is happy, settled, and well cared for. Staff caring for my father are very approachable, kind and very helpful. My meetings with the manager have always been positive, any concerns have been listened to and acted on. He does
what he says he will do. Improvements have been made since his arrival, hopefully, more are to come. Thank you to the Manager and all his staff for all their good work.

On my first visit to WardleyGate Care Home was to have a look around as we were considering moving my dad from a Care Home which we did not think were meeting his needs & with constantly changing Managers issues were not always being dealt with efficiently.


Without a doubt WardleyGate is a beautiful,

spacious Care Home, decorated throughout with colourful, tasteful decor. But in all honesty it was the staff that helped in our final decision.


The Carers are all extremely polite, trained to a very high standard which shows in the efficient way they care for all of the residents. The Activities lady has a wealth of knowledge in stimulating & having fun with the residents. The Manager's door is always open and his nursing experience is of course a big asset in a very demanding role.


Not to be left out are the cooks, food is excellent and they meet the needs for all tastes. The Cleaners do a very efficient job and the HandyMan is always around to help with any jobs.


Consequently I would have no hesitation in recommending this Care Home.

I visited my mum's best friend last week at Wardley Gate. I had no idea that a care home could be so beautiful. It's not only the building that is fantastic but she told me in detail how all of the aspects of the home are simply amazing.

The home is lovely and there is always something for the residents to join in with, singing, gardening, beauty sessions. The staff cannot do enough to help everyone, I am so pleased with the way my lovely friend has settled.
