My dear old mum became a resident in September 2020 during the present pandemic situation after stays in hospital, at the age of 91 after falls at her home. Her care and wellbeing by all staff were second to none, she was treated with utmost respect and politeness and as I understand was very much loved
by all the staff and residents. She was very much enjoying life there. I had never seen her so happy, in recent years she loved playing the piano and joining in the activities there, she sadly passed away on Jan 2nd the day after her 92nd birthday. Just a big thank you to all the staff there for looking after her -take a bow, guys.

My mother has been in Chamberlain Court since the week before lockdown began in March 2020, and we have been very impressed with the caring and attentive staff, to the extent that we can tell, since obviously, we have not been able to enter the building since day 1. The entertainment and food laid on
appear to be of a high standard. The home has gone out of its way to accommodate visits during these difficult times, and to communicate with relatives. My mother was so pleased when one of the staff helped her to decorate her room for Christmas!

My father is a resident in the nursing section of this care home. He is extremely well looked after by the very kind and caring staff. The staff know him very well and are able to communicate with him despite his profound deafness. They always cater to his needs and wishes and he is treated with kindness,
dignity and respect. The staff always contact me if they have any concerns regarding my father, which I really appreciate.

My sister who is 56 moved to Chamberlain Court in May as she could not cope with the lockdown restrictions due to her Alzheimer's condition. Although I could not visit the home, it was clear to me that all of the staff went out of their way to do what was best for her given that she was the youngest
resident by many years. Last month she was depressed and worried about her future and after speaking to the General Manager the carers responded quickly by increasing individual support and activities for her. I have no doubt that the staff genuinely care and continue to look for ways to make my sister's life as positive and enjoyable as possible. The review below reflects the fact that I have not yet been able to enter the home other than for controlled visits.

My husband, with dementia, and I following a lung operation, have just spent a month at Chamberlain Court in Tunbridge Wells. The care we received was excellent in every way and we were made to feel so welcome at all times. I was able to recover knowing my husband was being expertly cared for on their
designated Floor 2.

My mother lived on her own aged 95, but losing her short term memory so reluctantly considered a care home. On seeing Chamberlain Court amongst 4 others, I was very pleasantly surprised. The smell of urine didn't greet you upon entering, the residents weren't sitting around on plastic-covered chairs,
bored, but in the cafe chatting to one another tea/coffee and cakes listening to the pianist playing popular tunes of their day. Otherwise, they were participating in activities, hair done or a manicure or watching a film in the cinema. We realised how important like-minded residents are with similar life experiences and a reason to rise each day. Chamberlain Court has totally lived up to our expectations and my mother has blossomed. It's a pleasure to visit this happy talkative mother who is filling her day with pleasure and friendships. The staff are magnificent from top to bottom. Each smile greets you when passing, is totally attentive and seems to care hugely about their residents treating them with the utmost respect in their home from home. So glad to have found Chamberlain Court and know my mother is safe, happy and well looked after.

Staff are kind, obviously caring and patient. Working with dementia patients requires all above and more and they deliver this.
Care home is always clean and residents are also kept clean and tidy with extra additions like hair and nails attended to. Giving residents dignity.
A degree of consistency
in staff is also important, Chamberlain Court seems to have a relatively small turnover - important.

The service provided is good and the staff are all helpful, caring and professional. But there aren't always enough of them, particularly at weekends and staff turnover has also been high in the last 12 months.
Facilities are excellent, clean and well maintained.
A good range of activities is provided.

My husband has Lew Body Dementia. He lost the use of his legs and was hospitalised for 5 days.
He went to Chamberlain Court for 3 weeks of respite care. They turned him around and he is now home. I found the home and staff excellent for this situation. The staff seem to have endless patience.
Just
two downsides, a very vocal resident, who did disturb my husband through the night. Bell took a long time to be answered on two occasions. Otherwise, a good experience and if need be will use the home again.

It is both a relief and a pleasure to know that our mother is being well cared for by lovely people in this beautiful care home. My mother has dementia, and as a member of staff put it: "she needs more help than she is willing to accept". She has had multiple falls and was no longer safe to be at home,
but initially resisted the idea of an 'old people's home'. However, over the past six months she has settled in really well and even admits to having "a lot of fun". As the staff have got to know her they have discovered which activities she most enjoys and seek her out to make sure she attends them.
Visiting my mother is a pleasure as the staff never make one feel a nuisance or in the way, and as well as her room there are several places to go for a chat and a cup of tea or coffee. The bright modern interior always appears clean thanks to the domestic staff. I cannot praise the attitude of the staff highly enough.
