We are so glad that we found Leycester House. My aunt has settled in happily and the staff are most caring and loving. The facilities are wonderful and we are always made welcome when we visit. A special thanks for a superb lunch party laid on for my aunt's 101st birthday. All the family were impressed
by the clear, affection shown by the general manager and the rest of the staff.

This is a home/hotel rather than an old people's home. There is always a good vibe as soon as you come into the building. The home feels 'safe' and I never worry about mum now she is here. I am always made welcome. The facilities and food are fantastic and the guests are always made welcome too. Above
all, the staff are super and on hand to help. Thank you.

We were introduced to Leycester House via the internet and made 3 separate visits to confirm our desire to ask the management to accept my terminally ill wife for 'end of life care' and transfer from the local hospital. It was, without doubt, the best arrangement possible, quiet charm, very attentive
management and staff throughout. Every request was dealt with great empathy and the welcome, all inclusive tariff enabled us to eat together several times. This home is an absolute gem, setting such a high bar and winning in every way. It should be used as a standard throughout all health care systems.

Following a hip replacement, the Leycester House proved an ideal place in which to recover and have the, much needed, rest, also to regain some independence with the help of excellent staff. I enjoyed the meals, the chefs kindly catered for my dietary replacements. The general management was excellent,
every need was addressed, the weekly bulletin with the entertainment to suit all and the encouragement to attend exercise classes! I found all the staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble including 2 day trips to the hospital for investigation and treatment.

If only all care homes were run like this one, the world would be a better place. You have marvellous management and staff. It doesn't matter what sort of day they have got they are always smiling and ready to help you. My husband has been going for respite since you opened. He said he hoped he wouldn't
have to go anywhere else. It is like home from home, from cleaners to the chef, to reception and carers. Thank you. It makes my life much easier.

The manager and staff of Leycester house are the best I have ever encountered. My husband suffered a severe stroke in 2017 and a care home was his worst nightmare to be suffered in the event. The last 12 months, due to the loving care and dedication of their excellent staff, were the very best they
could possibly have been. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The quality of these surroundings, the food, the entertainment is all excellent. But for my husband, who always jealously guarded his privacy, the last few days of his life were spent being cared for and cherished by their wonderful staff. He was kept comfortable and free from pain. They simply give everything they have to make their residents content, peaceful and loved whilst giving every support to their family members. They are literally angels on this Earth. I have never seen this anywhere else. I can only give them my heartfelt and grateful thanks for making my husband so comfortable, with every small detail attended to with such kind thought. Leycester House I applaud you and sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My Mum has been a resident at Leycester House for just over 12months. In May we all celebrated her 100th Birthday when all her family from near and far were made to feel special, very welcome and a wonderful buffet was provided for all to enjoy. Sadly Mum passed away on July 24th, I can’t thank the
manager and the teams enough, also the night staff enough for all the love, care and support they gave before and throughout this sad time. Mum was always treated with dignity and respect, the love, laughter, hugs and kisses will stay in our hearts for ever. Thank you.

We moved my mother to Leycester House in January 2018 as she suffers with dementia. The level of care she receives is wonderful. Mummy always looks beautifully dressed and is regularly stimulated with a wealth of activities. There is a very friendly and caring feel about the home and it is a pleasure
to visit her. It has given the family complete peace of mind. We would recommend it highly.

From my arrival at Leycester House, I was treated with the utmost care and consideration. My room was very clean, have to admit drains in the bathroom needed improvement.

My wife, who had suffered from dementia for six years, stayed for a week's respite in December 2017 before moving to Leycester House permanently in January this year. She settled in immediately and thought of the home as her home. She was always happy and smiling when I visited and was pleased to see
me and knew my name but never thought of leaving. She was stimulated, ate well with a lot of assistance from the staff and could not have received better care.
Very sadly she died in April very unexpectedly and I can give no higher praise than to say that during her last hours the care was as good as at the very best hospices.

A very short visit to my friend ... who is extremely ill ... so only stayed for an hour. We were met on arrival and encouraged to have tea/coffee and cake ... these were excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional and informative. The whole ambience and atmosphere is calm, peaceful and
supportive. My friend is beautifully cared for in a well-appointed room.

We found Leycester House beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The rooms were tasteful and large beds a bonus.
All the staff were delightful and could not be more helpful.
The evenings were quiet and more stimulation would have been a bonus for dad. He was very content here and looked very

Leycester House care is the best care home ever. My father had been in two other care homes before the Leycester House care home, the difference was the hostel in a third world country and a 5-star hotel. The Leycester House care home being the 5-star hotel.
The staff are amazing, supportive and really
do care about their residents.
Their standards are extremely high.
Both my parents died while in the Leycester House care home, it was expected but the compassion and support they gave my family was outstanding and beyond the call of duty.
They really do care, unlike other care homes I've seen, which, quite frankly, you wouldn't want to be in dead let alone alive and ill.
If you are looking for a care home, this is the only one I would recommend.
Your relatives will be more than cared for.
They even made my dad's feet look good, quite an achievement, trust me.

Having recently spent a week at Leycester House after a major operation, I can honestly say it was the best place for me to recoup. Excellent care in nice surroundings. All the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
I was made to feel very welcome. The only area I felt needed
attention was the cleaning of my room, bathroom and my bed wasn't always made.

The care our old neighbour is experiencing is second to none. She has settled in well into an atmosphere more like a 5* hotel than a care home. Staff are friendly and frequently check she is ok and will chat for a while. Our neighbour feels she is part of a new family. Activities keep her busy and trips
out make her aware of the outside world still. After staying for lunch one day, I can confirm the food is to hotel standards with choices at all meals and special requirements always available. Super place!

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2021

My name is Tracy Barton and I am now the General Manager at Leycester House. I loved my time as Deputy, having fulfilled the role since 2018 and am now very much looking forward to my new role overseeing the running of Leycester House as General Manager. I have worked in care for over 2 decades and have had experience in elderly, nursing, mental health, dementia and young people in residential care. Before coming to Leycester House I was a coordinator for a large domiciliary company in Merseyside, a challenging, but rewarding job.


I feel privileged to be part of the Leycester House team, we are all so proud of the work we do and the quality of care that we give to our very deserving residents.
