My wife has been a resident for several weeks. We have nothing but praise for this amazing care home. The staff are so caring and thoughtful to all residents.
The rooms are excellent and the general facilities first class. The food is very good and suitable.
Activities are arranged every day for
residents who wish to participate including outings to places of interest.

Two visits to Leycester House for post-operative recuperation on both occasions the care and physical environment have been excellent.
The surroundings and food are the equivalent of four-star hotel facilities.
I would not hesitate to recommend for either short, medium and long stays.

Both my parents spent their last three weeks of life in the Leycester House. The standard of care was excellent. Apart from being highly competent the nurses were empathetic and looked after the family as well. They kept Mum and Dad as comfortable as possible in their last days. The nurses were highly
experienced and kept us up to date with our Mum and Dad's situation. We were provided with a room when we knew that our parents were likely to pass away and had free reign of the kitchen to make coffee, tea and toast. The Head nurse even came in on her day off when she found out that Mum had passed away.


The surroundings in the care home are luxurious. Visitors are fed and when there were a few of us visiting we were given a private room where we had lunch. I would highly recommend this care home.

The doors open as you approach and a warm welcome awaits you. The staff are all friendly, caring and efficient and soon get to know residents and visitors by name.

My mother moved in as a permanent resident for nursing care in August. The care has been superb. Staff are gentle, patient and clearly care about the residents. The nursing care is extremely competent and compassionate. Records are detailed and regularly updated. I am looked after too, plenty of drinks
and food on offer whenever I come.


The food is restaurant quality, delicious, freshly cooked and well presented. The chef produced an excellent gluten-free meal for my coeliac daughter when she visited with no fuss. It is clear that staff know the residents well and make every effort to care for them as individuals. They are constantly busy but always make time to speak and greet me by name whenever I visit.


I am very confident that Mum is receiving the best possible care. Leycester House is one minute from the M40 junction which makes my local journey speedy from wherever in the district I may be travelling.

My 85-year-old mother entered this care home after being discharged from hospital on 6th September. She had lung cancer and was in the last stages of life. I was so impressed at this care home.
The building was beautifully appointed and scrupulously clean throughout.
The staff were superb at all
levels and were very kind and supportive to both my mother and the friends and relatives that came to visit her.
The hospitality provided to visitors is quite amazing. Visitors can have meals in the dining room with residents or have a drink at the bar (coffee tea, wine, beer etc.) and this is all included in the fee paid by the resident.
When my mother became very ill on Sunday, 17th I was provided with a separate room to sleep in so that I could be close to her 24 hours a day. The staff offered me meals and drinks and brought them to me whenever I wanted. Even a full English breakfast was provided. I stayed there for three days until my mother died and almost felt like a resident.

When I was called for open heart surgery, I couldn't go home so looked for respite. Leycester House was our first choice. Very welcoming, friendly and they had a clear perception of just what we would need. The whole ambience, high standard of care and support are apparent. The many staff work together
and clearly support each other. The home and décor is a delight to live in with every luxury laid on to make residents feel valued and totally cared for. A variety of entertainment, activities, cinema, spa and hairdresser are freely available. Leycester House is a top quality care home which we could not speak highly enough - more a luxury hotel with first class care included.

This is a very good place to be in to recover. The rooms are clean and stylish.
The staff is helpful and there when you need them, for us, my husband and me, he is here too.

Very reluctant to go to a care home but had replacement hip so necessary. Very happy and well looked after. Good 24 hour care. Staff very helpful and nice amusing company. A very nice atmosphere, very nice residents. Very lovely garden to sit in. Film theatre with good films. Transport provided at request.

Welcoming, cheerful, kind, caring, clean, helpful, patient are some of the words to describe the staff and environment of Leycester House. Nothing is too much trouble for any staff member whatever their role or position. They take great care of dad who has Parkinson's disease and appreciates his sense

I can not praise Leycester House enough for the Care that they provide for my husband. The staff here are so friendly and approachable. Whether carers/nurses/ cleaning etc all the staff always have something to say to you and I feel they are almost an extended family. I never worry about my husband
as the level of care he receives is excellent and he is always washed and dressed smartly whenever we drop in. He is so well looked after and very happy which is so important to me.
The care home is beautifully laid out with well designed en-suite bedrooms with ample room for someone like my husband in a wheelchair. When we visit as well as the bistro bar there are also a number of lounges to sit in where you can just chat or play games.
All in all a lovely environment to happily leave a loved one.

My Mother had been a private resident at a nearby care home, but prices were rising sharply while food, care and condition were all deteriorating - staff were exiting too.
We found Leycester House just as it was opening late summer 2016, it is a private care home and we cannot recommend it too highly.
Its location is strange but its services and general ethos are outstanding.
It is new and fresh, with all the qualities + facilities + feel of a 4* hotel. More importantly, the quality of their staff, and consequently the depth of their care, is truly special, personal and sensitive.
In addition, there is plenty for residents to do, if they wish. Trips to the local racecourse, a nearby Safari Park, shopping etc or in-house entertainers or daily games, say Scrabble. There is great social interaction generally.
It is wonderful to find somewhere for elderly loved ones, who now need first class care, who deserve a good quality of living and who want appropriate activity and fun.

I cannot overstate how pleased I am with the care my mother-in-law has received at Leycester House. She has moderate dementia and had been in another local care home for just over a year when we realised that they were no longer meeting her needs. The move was the best decision we ever made in the course
of her care.


The staff are comprised of genuinely warm, caring individuals, and they've gone beyond the standard level of care in so many ways. They communicate honestly in a frank way when family members have concerns and initiated talks with her physician to investigate medication changes in the hope of increasing her awareness. They included her on outings even at the stage where that was obviously exceedingly difficult for staff members. Most importantly, they've connected with her as a person, even as her dementia has progressed to a point where she is no longer responsive. We will never forget their kindness and professionalism.

My father moved to Leycester House soon after its opening, in September 2016, and I have nothing but the highest praise for the care he is receiving. His room is very comfortable, clean and light, the standard of the food is very high, but above all, the nurses/carers are truly excellent - he is treated
with kindness, respect and genuine warmth by all members of staff.
It is hugely reassuring for me to know that he is being looked after so well and that his needs are dealt with so promptly and sensitively.
We as a family are always made to feel extremely welcome, never more so than today when we celebrated his 90th birthday.

My name is Tracy Barton and I am now the General Manager at Leycester House. I loved my time as Deputy, having fulfilled the role since 2018 and am now very much looking forward to my new role overseeing the running of Leycester House as General Manager. I have worked in care for over 2 decades and have had experience in elderly, nursing, mental health, dementia and young people in residential care. Before coming to Leycester House I was a coordinator for a large domiciliary company in Merseyside, a challenging, but rewarding job.


I feel privileged to be part of the Leycester House team, we are all so proud of the work we do and the quality of care that we give to our very deserving residents.
