Colten Care has now opened two beautiful top floor suites, The Martlets and The Witterings.

They have been designed to enable couples to continue living together, with support from the home team if required. The suites offer a more independent lifestyle, alongside care and companionship when it's needed.

Both suites have a light, bright and airy feel about them with contemporary décor. Peaceful and tranquil, they have a separate living space - where simple snacks and hot drinks can be made - and bedroom with an en suite shower room. Delicious cooked meals and other chores including cleaning and laundry are all taken care of, by the friendly team.

Wellington Grange is the newest of the Colten Care homes, purpose-built on the historic Roussillon Barracks site to offer the highest standards of residential and nursing care.

The home offers en-suite bedrooms across three floors. Each room is beautifully decorated and fully furnished with oak furniture and residents are welcome to bring their own items of furniture should they so wish.

Wellington Grange is a home full of character, the interior carefully styled with colour, art and pattern to reflect the local historical, cultural and natural attributes of Chichester.

At the home residents will find a therapy room, salon, library, cinema and study as well as a range of bistros and cafes to spend the day.

Minibus trips from the home will run regularly to enable residents to enjoy a taste of the countryside or even the seaside, and on days within the home, a range of thought-provoking and enjoyable ways to spend the day are created by in-house activities team and the residents themselves.

I can't speak highly enough of the care my dad received during his stay at Wellington Grange. Everything at the home is of the highest standard - the rooms, the food, the attention of the staff and the range of activities on offer for the residents.
Every member of staff I met was very professional,
caring and friendly. Not only did they care brilliantly for my dad, but they were all a huge support to me during his final days at the home.

I cannot speak highly enough of Wellington Grange. From the initial assessment to settling mum in the home, everything was done to make things as easy for mum and the family as possible. The home itself is lovely, with high-quality furnishings and modern decor. The garden is well maintained and easy
to push a wheelchair around. All the staff are welcoming and so very caring. There is a wide variety of activities to do, including trips out on the minibus. All the extra lounges, coffee areas and library area make it an interesting place to be. Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time and can help themselves to drinks and homemade cakes. I was so impressed that the chef visited mum to find out her likes and dislikes. I highly recommend Wellington Grange as a safe, caring and welcoming place for a loved one to live.

I have lived here for just over one month having decided that I was too old to live alone in a house with a big garden. I knew Wellington Grange as my sister in law lived here for four years. My experience has been very positive. All the staff have been extremely helpful and kind. The food is excellent
with plenty of choice and my accommodation is impeccably clean and comfortable. The activities and entertainment are varied and interesting and the trips by minibus are very popular. I love the fact that there are many different sitting areas and a library for quiet contemplation as well as a room with a large screen for showing films.

This has been my third 4-week respite stay at Wellington Grange and it was just as satisfying as the last two. It has been calm, reassuring and restorative. The staff are, without exception, helpful and friendly but not over-familiar. I enjoy solitude but can seek company whenever I like. The food is
good and I have enjoyed the activities and outings.

My mother arrived at Wellington Grange after many falls, so the thought of a care home seemed the safest place for her to be, but I was very worried about whether they would be kind and caring towards her. I am completely relieved to say it was the best thing for her. I am amazed at how wonderful all
the staff have been in helping her settle in and regain a good quality of life, with good food and professional care. The rooms are hotel standard and the gardens are beautifully kept and well used by the residents. I visit regularly and am always amazed at how attentive all the staff are. It is wonderful that such lovely people are looking after her.

My dad had a three-week respite stay in Wellington Grange. From my first encounter with management, receptionist, nurses, carers and support staff, they all made my dad and myself very welcome. His room was a delight, very welcoming, with everything he needed for comfort during his stay. I went away
feeling very confident he would be well cared for which he was.
My dad told me numerous times on my return he was very well looked after during his stay and I thank all the staff for their excellent teamwork. I would have no hesitation in booking my dad in for any future respite stays.
If I had one very small criticism, it was the parking, we found it very difficult, as did the family when they visited, particularly as there is no available parking nearby.

My sister and I have been very happy with the care our father has received at Wellington Grange since he moved here in January. It was never his wish to move into a residential home but he is very happy and is getting much better care than when he was at home with one 24hr carer and part time ones coming
in three times a day. His room at Wellington Grange is tastefully decorated and very light and airy. All the staff at Wellington Grange are friendly and helpful at all times and very kind to our father. An excellent home in every respect and we only wish our mother could have been here too as she would have loved all the activities etc as well as the beautiful garden.

My Mum came to Wellington Grange in a very frail state at 96 years old in January of this year, after struggling with some infections, and she is leaving very soon to go home again after the care she has received for the past 5 months has enabled her to feel strong enough to do so. Each member of the
care team has been truly exceptional, going that extra mile even when they were so busy, and she has become very close and grateful to two of them in particular, as indeed I feel I have during my frequent visits. We have been made to feel so welcome from the start, even before she moved here for respite, and I genuinely can't thank you all enough for the dedicated work you do for so many vulnerable residents. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Wellington Grange.

What more can I say than a huge thank you to all the staff at Wellington Grange for my mother's brief but meaningful stay. From the moment the manager stepped through the door, our minds were put at rest regarding the best place for my mother to spend her last few days. They were thorough, obliging

We feel very fortunate to have found Wellington Grange in Chichester as it is such a lovely and caring home for our parents. My stepmother was able to spend her last few weeks together with my father, receiving all the care she needed and avoiding being in a hospital ward which was her worst nightmare.
All the family and my father have been so well supported and he has permanently settled in very happily, says the food is excellent and all the staff are so kind, caring and professional.

My husband really enjoyed being at Wellington Grance, his room was a delight and he settled in very quickly. He particularly enjoyed the meals, especially the fish and the kitchen staff made great efforts to obtain the special cutlery that he needed. The personal care he was given was extensive and
continuous. The staff were very kind and helpful despite his huge need for assistance in the latter weeks. The lead medical nurse supervised his care constantly and it was a relief to find such excellent help and skill.

From initial contact through check-in my stay to check-out, I found the whole process very easy and all the staff superb in how they deal with all the residents in Wellington Grange. I have spent two weeks respite, and I can honestly say that I have never found such a lovely, warm, caring, friendly bunch of people. The call bell is silent, so no ringing driving everyone mad! There is never a long wait for a carer, and they are always happy to help. The food was lovely, good choice
and quality. I didn't get to mix with other residents due to Covid quarantine. I would, without hesitation, recommend Wellington Grange.

My husband was admitted to Wellington Grange in February 2021. The manager and her team made him feel very welcome. The care he received was wonderful. The staff were very attentive to him and I really could not have chosen a better place for my husband to be. He became unwell and passed away, last
weekend. The care my husband, myself and my family have received has been outstanding. I cannot recommend Wellington Grange highly enough.
