Ferrars Hall is a care home in the heart of Huntingdon providing residential care in luxury surroundings. The home has a warm, family atmosphere with a highly trained and caring staff team. Staff get to know residents and their families personally to provide personalised care taking into account residents' individual needs and preferences.

The care home has 66 large en-suite bedrooms, decorated to a very high standard. Ferrars Hall Care Home has it's own hair salon, café/bistro, cinema room, and numerous lounges and communal areas. Residents are encouraged to enjoy their hobbies and interests and a wide range of meaningful activities are available on a daily basis, from light exercise, crafts, gardening and trips out.

Ferrars Hall has built close links with the local community and often hosts events and meetings to encourage residents to maintain their links with local groups. Visitors are welcome at any time.

Ferrars Hall has its own Chef who works closely with residents and the care team to develop a weekly menu with a wide range of nutritious food suited to individual dietary requirements. The front of house team are on hand to provide drinks and refreshments throughout the day.

The team at Ferrars Hall Care Home have done a brilliant job over the past year looking after my father, keeping him safe and well. They have also been excellent at keeping us up to date with his situation, arranging Covid-safe visits when these were allowed and organising Facetimes for me with him
at other times.

Last year has been a very difficult time for relatives, residents and staff, but in spite of all the difficulties presented by Coronavirus, the home has been exemplary in its care of my mother.
The home has been very careful to ensure that staff and residents have been protected against the virus as
was humanly possible.
I know having spoken to my mother that in spite of all the difficulties she had a very enjoyable Christmas celebration.
I cannot fault the home and know that she is being well cared for.

Ferrars Hall has an excellent standard of care for the residents, the staff are all caring and treat residents with dignity and respect .
The home is very homely and residents can make their room special to them with their own possessions like they would at home.
Ferrars Hall is nicely decorated and
clean in all areas and very well maintained.
Residents in the home are happy and can join in activities if they want to or just have a nap or natter over a cuppa.
All the staff from housekeeping to management should be applauded for all their hard work over the past year keeping all the residents safe and well.

The staff are professional, but also caring and considerate. The facility is excellent. These are very difficult times, we have not been able to visit, but have received helpful, reassuring updates and feel that all care is being taken to keep residents safe. We have phoned and spoken often to Mother
and she seems to be in good spirits. She is feeling a little confined, but we keep reminding her, that we also feel somewhat confined at the moment, it is the nature of the crisis and will change once the pandemic has been brought under control and outside activities can resume. We are happy that Mother is being well looked after and is being kept as safe as possible in these trying times. Our thanks to the staff at Ferrars Hall.

My mum has been a resident at Ferrars Hall for over 4 years now and is very happy there, she continually praises the staff for all they do.
I have always found the staff to be amazing. They are professional, patient and kind, nothing is too much trouble for them, and they treat every resident as if
they were a member of their own family.
The residents are kept safe and are well cared for within a clean, stylish, well-maintained environment. They are encouraged to maintain their independence wherever possible and are treated with dignity and respect. Residents are encouraged to participate in a range of weekly activities as well as seasonal festivities and celebrations.
The staff are friendly, helpful and supportive towards residents' families and friends. There is always a warm welcome whenever you visit or contact the home and there are good systems of communication in place.
Well done Ferrars Hall, I cannot thank you enough for all the love and care you give.

From the first enquiry, the Customer Relations Advisor went above and beyond in assisting us with every step, making the process as quick and smooth as possible with fantastic communication. Mum was greeted into a warm, happy and welcoming environment. Since moving in she has settled in quickly, enjoys
the daily activities and keeps telling me how lovely the building and all of the staff are. Her complex medication regime and needs have been met from day 1, the staff listen to her and promote her independence. Visits are accommodated as best they can while complying with restrictions. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

Due to a sudden and unexpected need to find a care home for Dad, my sister and I were faced with having to find a care home at very short notice. We very quickly selected Ferrars Hall (from a shortlist) and our experience from the outset was remarkable. From their first visit to assess Dad the day after
contacting them, to the entirely professional approach, the care and kindness shown and attitude of nothing being too much trouble, the whole experience for us and more importantly Dad was first class. We couldn’t have asked for a more caring, kind and attentive team. Dad quickly settled and the family’s minds were eased. The entire team at Ferrars Hall were fantastic and we are forever grateful.

My sister, aged 95, has been a resident in Ferrars Hall Care Home for just over a year and I cannot stress enough how well she has been cared for. She has very little mobility, is confined to her chair and needs help to get to and from the bathroom for toilet needs and showers and to get in and out
of bed. She is also partially sighted due to macular degeneration.
She has been treated with loving care and dignity throughout her stay and has told me several times that she looks on Ferrars Hall as her home.
During her stay, she has had several bouts of sickness and has been nursed back to health with constant care and supervision.
Staff have taken the trouble to talk to her about her life and have shown an interest in her history.
I live in the North of England and even before the Coronavirus I wasn’t able to visit often and it’s such a relief to know she is being so well looked after. The continued contact with relatives is second to none and very reassuring.

The Customer Relations Manager has been extremely helpful and shows a very positive and caring attitude towards the

My mum had been looking to move into a care home due to reduced mobility but things were sped up by the corona virus when she was discharged from hospital far too early; the customer relations manager was amazing and made our decision an easy one. Even though we couldn’t visit in person due to lockdown
she organised her first virtual tour so we could “Look around”, Mum moved in at the end of March and they made her comfortable and a lot of time was spent settling her in, managing her pain and making a trusting relationship with her. We were kept informed at all times of her progress and any concerns or how I would deal with things that arose. The team actively involved Mum in playing cards and dominoes and even things like colouring - being bed-bound this meant a lot to her. Food was catered for her specifically as she was unable to eat solid foods at the time and thought was put into the menu making it varied and highly nutritional. I can’t thank the team at Ferrars Hall enough for making her final days happy.

My mother has been a resident at Ferrars Hall since December last year. From the moment we visited for an introductory lunch she was made to feel welcome and at home. The staff show kindness and compassion at all times. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the facilities light, airy and very comfortable.
Even in these difficult times of the Coronavirus lockdown, the staff have gone out of their way to provide a safe and secure environment. On many occasions, they have gone beyond simply providing care to ensure that my mother's needs and desires are exceeded.

My mother was a resident for 30 months and during that whole time she was cared for in an exemplary way and on every visit to my mother, the home was extremely clean and I was made very welcome. Our mother stayed at Ferrars Hall for over three years and was always looked after with care and consideration. As her health declined, the carers kept up the good work. Although mum could be demanding at times, the carers just took it in their stride.
Earlier this year she had a stroke and as a result,
entered palliative care. The Ferrars Hall team pulled together, and agreed with the health authority, a package of support. They believed that rather than Mum being transferred from hospital to a nursing home where she knew nobody; that they were the best place to look after Mum, to ensure she had the best quality of life for her final days in the place she called home and with the carers she knew.

Mum has been a resident for nearly a year now and I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful home for her. I just wanted to thank you and all the staff at Ferrar’s on behalf of my mum and myself. Despite not being on top form, Mum had a good experience staying with you and said all the carers and staff were lovely and very kind. She and I were impressed with the facilities and cleanliness too. It was a very
welcoming environment. Many thanks too for your updates while Mum was there, it was very reassuring for me to know that she was being looked after so competently while I was out of the country, so I was able to have a break. It did us both good.

My mum received the very best care and was treated kindly and with respect. I found the staff all very pleasant and a few I got to know a little were absolutely lovely.
