Situated within the Oaken Holt estate, Wytham House care home offers residential and nursing dementia care centred on providing a safe environment, including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and permanent care for individuals or couples. Specialist dementia care is provided for residents by highly-skilled professionals.

Wytham House has its own in-house chefs and hospitality team, drivers, gardeners, resident concierge, fully trained care and nursing teams, all of whom ensure that residents experience a rewarding time at the home.

My mother moved to Wytham House in August. My family have been very pleased with the care she is receiving. Her new room is beautiful and she enjoys the space and the lovely gardens. The staff are excellent and very welcoming to visitors. There is always a cup of tea on offer! It is a great relief to
me to know that my mother who is 91 is being really well looked after.

Pete is our Home Manager at Wytham House Care Home, here’s a little bit more about himself and the home in his own words:


“Oaken Holt is a wonderful home-from-home with a fascinating history and a wide range of activities and facilities. There is an energetic and compassionate team working with me to deliver the highest standards of care.


We are really fortunate to have such extensive and beautiful grounds, and it is well-documented what a positive impact being outdoors can have on everyone’s mental well-being, so I will be working with my colleagues and our residents to make sure we are making the most of those opportunities.


Every person in our community has a story to tell and our role is to help those stories be told, shared, and understood. We put the individual at the heart of everything we do, celebrating their stories, and helping them write new chapters.”

I work closely with families and their loved ones to support them through the transition to residential care, building lasting relationships and providing peace of mind during what can be a difficult and emotional time.
