Our dear mum, 90-years of age, moved into Manor Grange on December 18th 2020, after a long stay in hospital and then moved to care of the Manor. Mum is now engaging with all her new friends and staff, and her health, and more so, mental stimulation is amazing. The family are amazed at how well Mum has
settled. It was a great fear she wouldn't and now hangs up the phone; she's too busy. Brilliant.

My husband went into the home during a very difficult and traumatic time for everyone. As a family, we were re-assured very quickly that he was in good hands. Manor Grange kept us informed of COVID developments and they facilitated regular family contact with my husband through Zoom meetings and socially
distanced meets behind a screen when possible. The manager and staff were always friendly and helpful and always mindful of keeping the residents safe. Manor Grange is a lovely place in a lovely setting with lovely staff.

My father entered during COVID. At first, he was a little confused but the staff made him feel welcome and he settled down quite quickly. He has told me on many occasions that he is well looked after and does not want for anything.

The care provided is first class and the accommodation is modern and custom-designed to be a care home - it's not a care home shoehorned into a couple of joined-up detached houses.
All the staff are wonderful. The activities team keep residents stimulated and the nursing team provide excellent care
and keep relatives informed.

My uncle and aunt were our first family residents in the care home and this care home far exceeded their previous care home - in every respect - my only regret is that they weren't here from the beginning. When it became apparent that my father needed care, he personally chose Manor Grange after seeing
the care his sister-in-law and brother-in-law had experienced. We had no hesitation in agreeing with him especially as I had been next of kin contact for my uncle and aunt. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff have been extremely diligent in their care of the residents and have done everything they could to facilitate contact with relatives during this time. When my father was seriously ill with coronavirus, we had a great deal of comfort knowing he was being cared for by staff who knew him rather than being in hospital. Every concern that we have raised has been dealt with promptly and resolved to our satisfaction.

When my husband first arrived at the care home, he was made to feel very welcome (as was I) which put him (and myself) at great ease. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. My husband loves the banter as he is an avid football fan and even gets to visit his favourite football ground
with one of the activities staff. This lockdown has been particularly difficult for everyone, but this care home has coped admirably with updates etc. Very happy that my husband is well and happy.

My mother moved into the Manor Grange Care Home just at lockdown, it was difficult times with COVID 19, but the staff made her feel welcome and safe in the challenging times that they were faced. She has settled in very well and going forward she will enjoy the activities that are in place.
The communication
from the manager has been great with his weekly updates keeping us informed. We are very pleased that we are now able to visit our mum keeping within the social distance guidelines that have been put in place, which she enjoys.
The staff have been excellent and very caring I couldn't have asked for a better care home for my mum to be in, it's lovely. The manager and his staff should be very proud in what they have achieved through these times.

Absolutely disgusted the length of time Manor Grange Care Home is taking to refund over £1200-00 to a former temporary resident.
It is now 3rd August and three and a half months later the amount is still outstanding despite several emails to obtain payment.
Care Homes are very quick to ask for payment
upfront/in advance but not so quick to issue a refund. Residents would not be allowed to go into 3 months in arrears.
These days it is very simple via the BACS system.
Management needs to get its act together.

The staff have been very caring and have communicated very well with me during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have set up safe visiting opportunities promptly to allow relatives to visit regularly. I have been very impressed with the way the home has adapted during these difficult times and kept deaths
to an extremely low number considering their clients are very vulnerable and most are very elderly. My mother feels very well looked after and is very happy.

The level of care my mum has received over the last 3 years has been excellent. She is very well looked after and given the specialist care needs that she has, the staff do a great job. During the last 4 months it has been very difficult for all families due to the COVID-19 pandemic however Manor Grange
has done everything it could to keep residents safe during this time and has been very well prepared in getting relatives back in for visits as soon as it was safe with all the required safety precautions in place.

My mother has been a service user for a few years now. The facilities in the home are excellent and the staff are helpful, attentive, professional and caring at all times. A significant amount of work has been done to improve the activities available within the home. The activities staff are focusing
on continuous improvement and looking at ways of using technology to allow families to get closer to their relatives. The cinema, hairdresser and nail bar are wonderful facilities.

Bright modern well-designed purpose-built care home with luxury en-suite bedrooms. The home is situated in lovely grounds with views across a golf course to the distant Pentland Hills. All staff are professional and very supportive to residents and relatives - they're all lovely. You have the opportunity
to book "fine dining" for family celebrations - the chef goes out of his way to provide something special. I can also confirm that the daily menu is varied and wholesome having sampled it on numerous occasions. There is a daily activity programme which is varied and stimulating and the opportunity for residents to have a trip out in the minibus.

Until March 2020, when lockdown started, I had visited my wife approximately 6 times per week since 1st March 2018 when she was admitted to the Manor Grange Care Home. During this period of two years, I had always found everything to my satisfaction as measured against a set of nine criteria which I
developed and shared with the management of the care home.

My mum has been a resident in Manor Grange for 2 and a half years and my sister, myself and our families are extremely happy with the care our mother has been given. The staff and all the carers have been amazing. My mum has been well looked after. She was nursed through two serious illnesses and due

While working at Manor Grange I was promoted to Head Housekeeper, my job role consists of leading the housekeeping team and ensuring that our high standards of cleanliness are maintained within both cleaning and laundry. I also liaise with Residents & Relatives to help identify and resolve any problems which may occur.

I enjoy building strong relationships with both Residents and Relatives. I lead a small but growing team of Activities staff who are all dedicated to bringing joy to our Residents. I can honestly say that Manor Grange is the best place I have worked in, we are a big family and this is “Home” and not “A Home”.
