As I previously stated there are not enough staff employed at this facility and a large turnover of staff which does not provide the residents or families with enough familiarisation between them. Also appears to be too much paperwork etc to do and not enough on the on the caring side - ie spending
quality time with the residents. Each unit appears to be more like an institution than a home for the residents, this is not what should be provided. Also, the security is poor as the front doors are not always secured. But the card system is good. It would appear that the food provided is good.

We are sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the care provided to your family member. We review staffing levels on a regular basis and will look into the support your parent receives. On reviewing staff turnover there does not appear to be a high number of carers leaving and we do aim for continuity of carers to ensure they know residents well as you have stated. Carers do need to ensure that documentation in relation to residents is accurate and up to date, however, this is something that we have little control over as is a regulatory requirement on all providers. The front doors are secured outside of 9am-5pm and all Suites are also secure.

My mother is looked after well in a secure and comfortable environment. She can be very difficult at times but the staff show great patience with her. She is well fed and enjoys the food. She is always well dressed and has her hair styled and her nails and feet looked after on a regular basis. She enjoys
being taken out in her wheelchair. In an ideal world, she would be taken out regularly and more frequently. I am very grateful to the staff at Plas Bryn Rhosyn who look after her so well.

Thank you for a very positive review of PBR. We will look into opportunities for your mother to be able to go out more.

Our mother was a resident in another care home for six and a half years, prior to being transferred to Plas Bryn Rhosyn in November 2015. The management and staff were very welcoming in Plas Bryn Rhosyn. Our mother was soon put at ease, as staff from the other home and residents had also been transferred.
The professionalism of the new staff was a comfort to the family, we felt we would continue to have a high standard of care and we felt we could trust their knowledge. Plas Bryn Rhosyn is a beautiful purpose built home. The resident's rooms are excellent, especially the en-suite wet room. Cleanliness is of a high standard. Residents enjoy their well-presented meals and are offered extra drinks throughout the day, visitors are made welcome. We find staff friendly and treat our mother with dignity. Money is kept in the office for hairdresser, chiropodist etc.
