Kiwi House Care Home is a family-run, award-winning care home providing luxury quality care in Alvaston, Derby.

A friendly, well-trained team ensures high standards of residential and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Resident happiness and well-being is at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage residents to lead a fulfilled, happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. With its own minibus, residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

Exceptional facilities include spacious en-suite bedrooms, a cinema, a corner shop, a traditional pub and hair salon.

The home is divided into small care suites, each one having its own lounge, dining facilities, lifestyle kitchen and care team ensuring that residents are cared for by the same familiar faces every day.

Well I visit my friend quite often and have to say that she is very well looked after and so am I on my many visits. All the staff are so caring and always happy, the food looks very nice and I have had the pleasure of having a meal and it really is to restaurant standard. Kiwi House is so clean and
is well maintained and the decor is fabulous it really is the care home in Derby and believe me I’ve seen a few in my time. I would without hesitation recommend Kiwi House to anyone who is looking for care and to carry on living life to the full.

Kiwi House was one of the very few homes in the area that was recommended to us by health care professionals, family and friends. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. Having a large en-suite wet room is great and the outside patio area will be lovely in the spring and summer. My mum has
now personalised her room to make it a home from home. The food is great, especially the lunches. The afternoon cup of tea is especially welcome. Being able to help yourself to a coffee when you visit is good too. I'd like to give a special mention to the laundry and maintenance teams - they do a great job. There so many members of staff that are helpful and caring. You can be sure that if a member of your family went into Kiwi House that the manager, care manager and his team will take very good care of them.

Well its home for me, we have activities and entertainment, very caring staff, I would not be anywhere else. Lots of trips on our bus to church, shopping or garden centres, the food is delicious and there is always a lot to choose from, it’s nice and I love going to the pub. Upstairs it's great.

Kiwi House Care Home provides excellent compassionate care for my Mum. Not only that, the staff and management are extremely supportive and caring to myself and sister. The carers are dedicated and devoted to providing the highest quality of care possible. The home is a positive, happy environment with

I have found all staff very accommodating with my very elderly Aunt and Uncle. They both really enjoy the food and the home is very clean and I feel really sorry for the domestic laundry team as they keep it all really spick and spam. Caring is always is always of a high standard and I am very impressed
that the whole team know my first name. My Aunt and Uncle have after 4 weeks respite decided they want to stay and have settled in really well.

Very impressed with the caring staff, looking after my father-in-law.
He is much better since he came in July, putting on weight and a more open frame of mind. His interests and hobbies are also being fostered with his music, singing etc.

Kiwi House staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble in regards to all resident and make welcome all non-residents.
Activities are very entertaining and celebrate all occasions. I cannot give enough praise to all staff involved.

The place itself is well maintained nicely decorated. Always clean. The staff are exceptional and always at hand to care. The staff treat everyone including myself with dignity. Kiwi House has a lovely atmosphere. I loved my stay and I thank each and every one of you for making my short stay happy.
If I had to come into care again Kiwi House would be at the top of my list outstanding,

This care home has to be seen to be believed. Every one of the staff from the management to the cleaners has been friendly and welcoming, caring and compassionate. They have been informative and helpful. I would also like to mention the night time staff, who when my mother had a fall during the night
were attentive and caring reassuring her by laying next to her on the floor till the paramedics arrived to assess her. I cannot recommend them enough.
