My mother had a two-week respite stay at Cuffley Manor Care Home. She needed some tender loving care without responsibility for her house and the need to prepare her own meals.
I needed a break away for a few days without worry.
Her visit was successful on both counts. Mum says the staff couldn’t
have been better and the food delicious. She went from eating very little, needing encouragement to even have a yoghurt or cracker for tea, to eating three good size meals each day.
Although the plan is for her to try in her own home again, she may well be back!
Thank you to the managers and the team.
I am sure I should be thanking more but these are the people I have met.

Living abroad it's extremely important to know that my mum is being looked after by great people in a fantastic facility. My experience of the staff is that they are always looking after the best interests of the residents, even during these difficult times their dedication is inspiring.

On entering the home through a controlled entry point, I was met with four members of staff, each one acknowledged me with a cheerful smile or wave. I was greeted by the receptionist in the friendliest of manners who made me feel immediately welcome. All other staff were much the same.
The home itself
is something I would never have imagined. It was everything and more that I would want for any of my elderly relatives and one I would more than happily live in when the time comes.
I immediately spotted the beautiful hair salon which looked like something out of a magazine. I also noticed the beauty treatment room which was as tranquil as any other I have seen....but, the cinema was just amazing! And even had an old fashioned popcorn stand.
I can't do the rest of the home justice but nothing disappointed. The residents seemed very cared for and very happy. The many photos I have seen are examples of what I saw in person. Outstanding.

Very friendly and caring staff team who go the extra mile to make sure that Mum is happy and relaxed. The home is very well thought out and designed and built to a high standard. There is a great programme of activities that all residents can get involved in, if they wish to. I'm looking forward to
the day when I will be able to visit properly again, but meanwhile, the team has done everything they can to ensure that the visits are as good as possible, under incredibly difficult circumstances.

I haven't been inside Cuffley Manor since March 2020 so this review mostly reflects my observations from March. In March the overall standard, the rooms, the food and drink, care and support were excellent and I believe that this remains the same. From videos and photos online I see that the activities
provided are excellent. New management has turned the home around and are very supportive and effective in ensuring residents are safe, most importantly in preserving to keep COVID at bay. Indoor visits, I feel need to have amplifiers in place as the screen prevents my mother from hearing me. Keep up the good work.

My Mum has been at Cuffley Manor since the day it opened. It is a beautiful home and my Mum feels safe and secure here. There have been a lot of teething problems which were difficult for the first 2 years. Mainly problems with getting a manager to stay for more than 3 months. Things are better now.
There are some amazing carers who are wonderful with my Mum and extremely caring and kind and very attentive to her individual needs. We do need more activities however at weekends when it can be a bit boring for my Mum. More dementia focussed activities, please.

I am the Home Manager at Cuffley Manor and have over 15 years of experience within the Care home sector.
Although my background had always been in accountancy since leaving school, I felt there was something missing. I was first introduced to care 15 years ago, and can honestly say, I have never looked back. Since then I have progressed from Health Care Assistant to Senior Carer, Deputy Manager and for the past 8 years, have been in a General/Home Managers position.


I am very passionate about providing not only an excellent standard of care but also an environment in which Residents and the team are able to enjoy living and working in a home with a warm, friendly and fun atmosphere. I am extremely proud to be part of the TLC family.

Prior to moving to the UK, I was a Registered Nurse (RN) working as a staff nurse for three years in an Emergency Care Unit, in New Delhi, India.


I came to the UK in 2008, initially to study for an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, as part of understanding both the social and medical care provided in the UK.


I was fortunate to be able to work for Care Homes, initially as a Senior Care Assistant. As I developed my skills, knowledge, and exposure to the care home environment, I was promoted to Team Leader, then an opportunity became available to become an Assistant Manager in 2016.


I joined the TLC group as a Care Service Manager at Cuffley Manor in May 2021 and I am loving the family atmosphere here. I am very passionate about care and people, and I strive to ensure that our residents are receiving outstanding person-centred care in a safe homely environment.
