Lostock Lodge provides residential and dementia care in a luxury setting, spacious lounges provide comfortable areas to relax and socialise. Fine dining is provided with waitress service and tea, coffee and drinks are available at any time.

Activity and wellbeing champions get to know residents individually; they support and encourage people to continue to enjoy their hobbies and interests. Mum has been a resident at Lostock Lodge since the start of 2020 as a result of struggling with dementia. From the very start of her stay, we have been absolutely delighted with the care that she receives. Every member of staff who we have met at Lostock Lodge have been absolutely fantastic. They all
have an obvious and genuine interest in the residents, which comes across in something simple - but so important - as the wonderful way that they talk to the residents. The range of activities put on for the residents is really impressive - crafts, physical activities, cultural events and all-round entertainment. It always seems to be fresh and interesting. Finally, the level of communication to families is amazing - the very regularly updated Facebook posts allows us to see so much of what Mum does, which has recently been key, the calls and letters have all kept us totally involved. We have always felt that Lostock Lodge is a place where Mum is truly cared for.

My mother moved into Lostock Lodge in January 2020. From an initial tour, my brother and I took of the property beforehand through to my mum moving in and at all times since we have been massively impressed with everything about the property. Having looked at half a dozen others before making a decision,
Lostock Lodge stood head and shoulders above all others. In fact, the reason why we added it to our list of places to visit was on the recommendation of the manager of another local care home! Both the communal facilities and the resident's rooms are immaculate and of a good size, there is an ongoing programme of activities to keep everybody stimulated and amused, but what impresses the most by a mile are the staff. Every interaction with the team is a positive one, and when visits are possible (restricted due to Covid-19) we always leave with the impression that the entire team actually wants to be there, and takes genuine pride in their home.

After a couple of respite stays for my dad in other care homes we were delighted to get him a place just before COVID-19 in Lostock Lodge as the reviews and our initial interactions with them were positive. It's safe to say the quality of the care at Lostock and the calibre of staff is second to none.
This is my dad's first permanent residency and immediately after he was placed there we went into lockdown. We could ring at any time and have never felt as though we were being a pain and we love seeing the pictures of all the activities on Facebook. He has settled really well and I would not hesitate to recommend Lostock Lodge.

Lostock Lodge is exemplary. Since our first point of contact, the staff have gone above and beyond our expectations. My mother has settled brilliantly and all her needs are met. The team are amazing, the accommodation is clean and comfortable, the food is excellent and the range of activities are superb.
We couldn't ask for more, even during a pandemic.

My mother who suffers from dementia has been treated with care, compassion and respect by all of the carers at Lostock Lodge, who go out of their way to make her stay as pleasurable as possible. Mum originally came to Lostock Lodge for a period of respite care. The whole family is delighted that she
can now stay on a permanent basis because we have such confidence that she will be looked after with kindness and professionalism. She is encouraged to engage in the various activities on offer and she is enjoying them. The staff take the time and make the effort to ensure that Mum's needs are being met and that she is kept stimulated and active. They seem to have the happy knack of getting Mum to engage in things which do her good but in which she would probably not have participated had it not been for their gentle coaxing.

Just over a year ago after losing our mother, our father who suffers from Alzheimer’s, deteriorated and could not stay in his home nor did he want to. His needs were such that we could not keep him in a family environment and so painfully he was moved into a care home. Unfortunately, that care home
disappointed in many ways and the decision was made to move dad somewhere else. Lostock Lodge was recommended and after visiting several others we were able to move dad there. Since his arrival in January, he and we have never been happier. The surroundings are bright and clean, his facilities are of a high standard. The staff are caring and friendly. It’s a pleasure to visit him. He is stimulated, activities are personalised where possible and completely settled no more bouts of agitation. Our guilt at having dad in a care home has eased thanks to Lostock Lodge and it’s wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them.

Our Father initially sought respite but we were surprised and comforted by how he responded to the care and carers here. Having established his reticence to enter a home stating he "was able to look after himself" and already feeling the family guilt of not being able to cope with him in a house environment
with increasing Dementia issues, we anticipated some struggles on both sides.
The staff on both Management and Nursing know each individual 'Guest' respectfully treating them and showing depth of 24/7 care.
Concerns are dealt with, visiting is flexible. It is a well-run home away from home; reassuring for those relatives not able to visit often perhaps.
It's a safe space, clean, tidy and the food is freshly cooked and catered for with pride.
Entertainment is often and planned to stimulate and be interactive.
We are so reassured our Father is now a permanent Guest with room comforts just like his own home.
Lostock Lodge offers passion of care and dignity to your loved ones.

Mum arrived in April 2019 full of hype as the home had been recommended. Sadly, after a good week or 2, it became apparent that the home is dominated by those sadly suffering Dementia. For mum who has physical issues, this was somewhat frustrating. The floor, as well, was mixed and made for a challenging
stay.
Staff excellent, food ok, facility new and nice. Not enough activities for the residents which only take place if money is raised.

We always wanted to care for Dad at home but realised we couldn't give him the time and
the care he deserved, so after many tears and guilty moments decided to look for permanent care. I went to view Lostock Lodge and straight away felt it was the right place for Dad, it was warm, welcoming, spotlessly
clean, but most importantly the staff were friendly and smiling! Dad has only been a resident for four days and already I can see a change in him and he has told me he is happy! All of the residents look clean, happy and well cared for and the meals look and smell amazing!
I am looking forward to seeing the activities that Dad will be taking part in, already I have seen photos on facebook of Dad enjoying himself, which is so reassuring and helps put my mind at rest!

My wife and I have power of attorney for two elderly ladies who have been at Lostock Lodge now for 3 weeks. We have been very pleased with everything so far. The ladies are happy and settled. Communication with the staff is excellent and they have always been most helpful. The atmosphere in the Lodge
is relaxing and welcoming. This situation puts my wife’s mind at rest and therefore takes a lot of pressure off me. Thank you.

After my mother lost her husband of 60 years rather quickly, the shock of the next step in her life alone has been really tough. Lostock Lodge has made that very hard step easier by being a warm, friendly and caring environment. The facility is modern, clean, vibrant and special and the staff are attentive,
courteous and hard working. We are all very pleased that Mum has settled. It is a tough time for her grieving, being alone in some ways yet making new friends at the same time. Lostock Lodge are supporting her very well.

My father has been in Lostock Lodge for 4 weeks now after moving from a short-term respite home in his hometown. We had researched several other residential homes in the area. The home had a fresh, light and comfortable feel and has always been our first choice.
The quality of the staff, the friendliness
of the other residents and the excellent overall service at the home have all contributed to dad deciding on his own to stay on a permanent basis. This is always a difficult decision for someone, having been so independent for so long. We would not hesitate in recommending Lostock Lodge Care Home to anybody considering residential care.

The staff could not have been more helpful with the transition, he was made to feel part of the 'big family' straight away and he is now happy and settled in his new home.
