Dad stayed here for 4 weeks respite care so he could build up his strength and confidence following a stroke - and it was absolutely the right decision.
The care and facilities are excellent. The accommodation is modern, exceptionally clean, yet still homely. The food is incredible, and being able
to stay and have a meal with dad at times was lovely for him and the wider family. There are always activities and things to do for residents too.
The best thing of all about Cedar Mews Care Home however is the staff team. Everyone who we have encountered has been so helpful, friendly and caring. The team were a great help in getting dad transferred from hospital and have given us lots of support with following up medical appointments and prescriptions. Throughout his stay everyone has been absolutely lovely and welcoming - we are incredibly grateful and will miss them very much when he returns home later this week. 100% recommend Cedar Mews.

Everyone is so attentive and friendly. My father is made as comfortable as being at home. He is quite happy and has everything he needs. The home is clean has lots of activities. Food is good and family can participate in everything with him, which makes him feel at home.

My mum was in respite for 2 weeks after Christmas.
She had a fantastic time and was welcomed by all the staff. All the activities she did were fantastic.
The staff were all so nice and my mum left with a smile on her face.
She is already booked in for another respite stay with them and I can't
thank them enough for everything they did.

This was my first visit. We were greeted and made to feel that we were welcome. We were taken to our friend's room. The receptionist was very helpful as wer any staff we came into contact with. Our friend said that he was very comfortable and that everyone was brilliant. When staff came into the room,
they were very considerate. He is bed bound and pleased to see that the bed was adjusted obviously to prevent bed sores. We felt that there was a very nice atmosphere (unlike many homes I have been in). Staff were very attuned into my friends needs.

On visiting, over 60 miles away, I always get a friendly welcome. I find the staff helpful and very pleasant. The overall care home is the best I have ever visited. The appearance being more like a hotel.

All the staff including catering, and house management presented as highly professional, very friendly, and caring. We couldn't thank all the staff enough for the support and kindness they demonstrated to myself, my sister and our Mother. The support received and the dignified way her passing was managed

The care home is always open to families and they are very enthusiastic about family participation and as such it is always a great way to build relationships with the care staff members. Take this May for example where a boat trip was arranged where family members could attend, which I gladly did,
not only was it a fantastic day for all the residents but I also had some great memories and photos from the day for me to cherish. The communication with regards to my mother is always on point and I have advised them to phone me no matter what time of day or night it is and they duly oblige, so I feel safe in the knowledge that unless they call me, my mum is happy and well cared for, which helps me sleep at night. This is also backed up every time I visit, seeing all residents being well catered for. Top-notch service all round.

Lovely home with excellent staff in every area - carers are fantastic. The activities on offer are imaginative and varied; there are lots of outings too. My mum enjoyed her time there - about 20 months. Food is good.
When it came to my mum's last few days, the care of both the family and my mum couldn't
have been better. Lovely empathetic staff.
Good communication on the whole as well.

I'd like to start with a wholehearted and heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Cedar Mews. They're a truly lovely bunch of people who treat residents like friends and family.
Mum was looked after so well from the moment she moved in and each time we visited we left knowing she was safe and happy.
Her health and well-being improved while she was there which is a testament to the staff and the high level of care she received.
Special thanks must go to the wonderful Dementia Care Manager who went above and beyond, as well as all mum's carers on Lavender Lane. Thank you so much.

Our family are absolutely delighted with the care that she is receiving at Cedar Mews.
Cedar Mews has a very experienced and capable staffing team, who are able to care for her dementia and Alzheimer's to the highest standards. All care homes have individual care plans, but we, the family, feel that
at Cedar Mews, it is very professionally considered and delivered to cater for her complex personal needs. As she is very physically fit, the team have amended the care plans to adapt to her changing behaviours.
Cedar Mews has a very extensive programme of activities for those living there and the residents are encouraged to participate. These include dancing, tai chi and other physical activities, which she loves and lots of arts and crafts, which she is not so keen on, but is very well attended by others.
The dementia care manager and dementia team leader are excellent and support us incredibly well. Highly recommended as a top quality provider. We would not want her to be anywhere else.

Mum joined Cedar Mews for end-of-life care in September 2023. We took Mum for her consultation with a consultant, he couldn't believe the difference in Mum. He said:" It's a sign of a very good care home that your mum has done so well. It's a sign she's looked after extremely well, takes medication,
is eating well and looked so much better." I have to thank all of the managers and the staff for being so caring and keeping Mum so well.

Mum was only in Cedar Mews from October until her death in December. She was so settled and happy, however, during that time. It was lovely to see staff were always welcome and handled the death with kindness and sensitivity at the same time as being thoroughly professional. I always felt able to speak
with them i.e. any concerns.

The greatest asset a company can have is its staff. Well in Cedar Mews this asset is worth its weight in gold. Cedar Mews staff and management are very friendly, extremely patient, efficient and kind. I cannot emphasise enough how excellent all the staff and management are.
I am so lucky to have found
(and looked at quite a few) a home that took such great care of my mum and that my mum has settled in so well.

Mum has been with Cedar Mews Care Home for seven years and has received the best care you could ask for. They know her so well and the care she receives reflects this, they know when she's not well. They are all so kind and caring and make Mum smile. I can leave Mum knowing she is well cared for. They

The dementia lead welcomed my mother for her second visit to Cedar Mews Care Home, Birstall.
My mother was treated with the utmost dignity, respect and kindness whilst at the home but she unfortunately passed away during her stay.
The staff were there to support my mother throughout her final hours
and extended their support to me which I greatly appreciated.
I would like to thank the whole team for their compassion and empathy throughout this difficult period. Thank you all.

My grandad has been with Cedar Mews Care Home for only a few weeks after leaving another care home, he has returned to himself again and is now the happy man we know and love. My Mum has a rare form of dementia which means she can hardly speak anymore, yet the wonderful carers at Cedar Mews have built a wonderful relationship with her. The team have become like an extended family to us, they are so kind and diligent with all the residents. This home is really rare in the
level of care it provides and that is due to the wonderful people, their compassion and always going the extra mile. I couldn't recommend it highly enough and it is a comfort to know Mum is safe and beautifully cared for. We are welcomed in daily and the atmosphere is relaxed and so reassuring. Mum is happy and always laughing you couldn't really ask for more.
