My 84-year-old mother went into Arlington Manor for respite and we found that the home was immaculate and the staff were fantastic. The service and support for her was second to none and she really enjoyed her stay. We will definitely be using Arlington Manor again.

This is Mum’s 2nd visit for respite care. The staff are very caring and helpful and very happy to help. Mum was able to have the same room as she had on her first visit which she liked and a very nice en-suite. She enjoyed socialising with the other residents and the activities that were arranged.

My mother entered Arlington Manor in July 2020, initially for respite. However, it quickly became apparent that this is a long-term stay. Mum found it extremely difficult at first and became very anxious and disoriented. It was at the height of the pandemic and we were unable to visit and reassure her.
She is now settled, happy, and enjoying life and knows she is in the best place. This is entirely due to the kindness and dedication of everyone at Arlington. As a family, we know she is being well cared for and would not wish her to be anywhere else. She is treated with the utmost respect and her sense of humour has returned. We have been able to visit throughout these awful times and now look forward to happier days when we can take her out for short trips. Thank you to all at Arlington during these unprecedented times. Things can't have been easy, but you are greatly appreciated by us.

As the family have been unable to travel to see our aunt over the last year, the excellent communication by so many members of staff throughout has been reassuring. Assistance with regular Skype calls has kept us able to see and hear how well our aunt is. Staff phone us immediately with information
about any change in health, discuss and advise about any helpful moves and keep us constantly informed. The social activities are so thoughtfully planned and arranged and we all feel we are included despite the distance. Looking forward to being able to visit again soon. Thanks are to so many of the team for the superb care, both of her mental and physical well being and for providing the kind of love and social fun the family can't provide at the moment.

Our Mother, who is now in her 90s, arrived at Arlington Manor early in 2019. She had a stroke in Autumn 2019, losing her speech. She was quite distressed over the next few months. Amazingly she has settled again during lockdown and is now calm and happy. The staff are amazing. I cannot thank them enough.
I want to add a note about the high standard of Infection Prevention and Control practices, as I know there is a concern nationally about this issue. I used to work as a consultant microbiologist in South East London so I am able to recognise the dedication of Arlington Manor care home in this arena. The staff are totally committed to the prevention of all infections, including the coronavirus. I hope this is helpful and reassuring to all.

Arlington Manor have gone above and beyond in order to facilitate communication with my dad during this very difficult period. They enable my dad to FaceTime regularly and make sure he is comfortable with the technology. They send regular newsletters and list of activities taking place at the home.
The care staff at all times are positive and lively and genuinely care for the residents.

A very well managed care home. Care staff are well trained and have interesting backgrounds and are sociable. The entertainment staff are very inventive and prepare a good programme. The meals are well presented and very tasty. The garden is attractive and good to sit in even on the hottest days. I

Arlington Manor has been a revelation - super-considerate staff, bright, open, attractive rooms and a calm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere at all times. My mother-in-law's bedroom is a lovely refuge for her and the group activities and happy mealtimes give her every chance to join in when she wants
to. Adapting to life in a care home is never easy but I cannot believe there is anywhere that would have done more than Arlington Manor.
By far the best we have seen!

My dad has moderate dementia caused by Alzheimer's and had to move into residential care after my mum passed away. The staff are attentive and caring, my dad has told me many times how lovely they are. They are willing to go the extra mile, not just for the residents but their families too. There is
a daily schedule of a wide range of activities on offer, which is really important to my dad who is still quite young compared to most residents, is active and likes to keep busy. The environment is always clean and smells fresh and there are plenty of spaces to go and sit and have a chat or have a wander. Dad and I enjoy going down to the cafe to have a cup of tea together. The food is very good, my only (very minor) complaint is that it could be served hotter, but it doesn't affect the taste and certainly doesn't put me off joining him for a meal. Best of all, I have complete peace of mind knowing that he is being really well looked after and that he is happy.

I have only visited Arlington Manor once to visit my cousin who has been there for 3 weeks. From the moment we arrived we were most impressed. My cousin seems to have settled remarkably well (unexpectedly) and seemed like a changed woman! The staff could not have been more helpful.

Arlington Manor has a very nice ambience. The staff are all very friendly but my understanding is that requests from my mother are sometimes slow to be acted upon. The room is very well appointed but for the price, it would have been good to have a recliner/tip armchair as standard. The food is very
good and I notice other things can be requested. The cafe is an excellent idea.

I was very wary of leaving my husband in a care home for three weeks respite stay because I feared he wouldn't settle and I would be anxious.
Arlington Manor lived up to its good reputation. Staff were thoughtful and caring. I and my family were reassured by the excellent care provided and the constant
support and good humour. When a sad situation developed we were treated with dignity and warmth and the utmost consideration.

My 82 year old mother needed residential care for 5 weeks while her house was converted to ground floor living. The care and support she received during her stay was of an extremely high standard from staff who were professional, friendly and understanding of my mother's needs. The room and en suite
bathroom was very comfortable with the telephone line a real bonus for someone who prefers that to a mobile. The food was of a high standard and mum enjoyed mixing with other residents during mealtimes. The range of activities was very varied and if it had been summer, I know mum would have thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the garden. From my mum's perspective, Arlington Manor was a place that met her care needs while from the family side, we knew mum was in safe hands and that removed a significant burden of worry from our shoulders. I would highly recommend Arlington Manor if you are looking for either short term or long term care.

My mother moved into Arlington Manor in June 2019. From her first day, my mother was warmly welcomed as were my sister and I and all staff continue to greet us in a warm and friendly way. They are all very kind, considerate and caring and are more than happy to help in any way they can. My mother settled
in very well and has a good relationship with everyone. We feel reassured by the care she gets and know she is looked after well and happy there.

In my opinion, you will not find a better care home than Arlington Manor. From the first phone call to make enquiries the service I and my mum have received has been nothing short of excellent. I was so impressed on my initial visit. All the staff seemed happy in their work and the interaction I heard
between the care staff and residents was lovely. The facilities are superb, the rooms spacious and well designed and without exception, the place is spotlessly clean. On future visits, the staff all remembered my Mum's name. I knew instinctively that Arlington Manor was the right home for my mum. The day my mum, who has Alzheimer’s disease, moved in was a difficult day for me with very mixed emotions but it was made so much easier with the support we received from the staff. Mum has now been a resident for nearly four weeks and the difference in her is amazing. She is happy, eating and sleeping better than she has in years and is loving the social interaction and the planned activities.

I have worked for Hallmark-Arlington Manor since the grand opening and am very proud to be part of such a well-established honest luxury organisation.


I am committed and dedicated to training and mentoring my team to provide compassionate, respectful relationship-centered care and to promote independence, well-being, and focus on a sense of achievement.


It's very important to me to trust and empower my team to grow and develop their skills and knowledge to be able to offer the best quality and care with confidence to every resident and to each other supporting future aspirations.
