Lavender Oaks Care Home opened in October 2017 and provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for older individuals living in Carshalton and the wider Sutton area. With a variety of facilities, there is plenty for residents at Lavender Oaks to do, including enjoy a screening in their cinema, celebrate special family occasions in their private dining room or simply take a stroll around their secure, landscaped gardens. Every resident has their own bedroom with an en suite wetroom, and there are a number of communal living and dining rooms for residents to spend their time.

Lavender Oaks has provided over the last seven months the most amazing care for my mother in law. There is a phenomenal bond between all the carers, catering staff, housekeepers, entertainment team, maintenance, transport, medical and of course, the managers, who have all excelled in making her life
the best it can be. All the personnel enjoy interacting with the residents and take time to listen and ensure their needs are fully met, whilst also enjoying a chat with them. The premises and gardens are the best I have ever seen and would not be out of place for a top class hotel! Well done Lavender Oaks you have raised the bar to a standard that all care homes should try to strive for. I have no hesitation in fully recommending to prospective clients for the service of this care Home.

It was such a relief moving Mum to Lavender Oaks, having previously moved her from two other homes before, that had not fully complied with the mandate of care that had been promised! Now after seven months of living at Lavender Oaks it is plainly obvious that the care given is stupendous. Mum is happy,
very well looked after, has a beautiful room, wonderful gardens and excellent food. Housekeeping ensures that her clothes are washed daily and that the accommodation is also serviced daily. It’s spotless!
The amenities are fabulous, including a cinema, hairdressing salon, bistro/bar, a private dining room for resident’s family and friends to use for special occasions, a dedicated entertainment team with a specially fitted out area and a minibus. Above all this, however, is the wonderful, genuine, compassionate care that the AMAZING STAFF give to all their residents. Also with a very approachable management team, who listen, and are proactive. I would highly recommend Lavender Oaks and have done!

My mother spent a wonderful fortnight at Lavender Oaks.
The surroundings are high class. My mother said she felt like she was in a 5 star hotel. However, the care and all the staff are also 5 star. Each person went above beyond to ensure she felt welcome and at home, all her care and well-being needs
were et. Above all, she felt safe and well looked after which was hugely reassuring and the point of her respite stay.

Our parents went into Lavender Oaks for emergency respite. Mum needed the care most. The home worked quickly to accept them. There are some good aspects. The rooms, food and cleanliness were excellent. Some staff are kind. If you are looking for a respite stay, there are things that we might suggest
you clarify first to ensure it is what you want. If ‘care’ is new to you, visit with someone who has experience. Check on how the systems and communication will work for you and the resident, so you know what the provision will 'look like'. Agree your role, and the home’s role, regarding medical issues and medication. Check thoroughly the contractual details and charging policies. We found leadership, communication and monitoring to be very inconsistent, at times poor. Lavender Oaks did not have the capacity to meet Mum's changing needs, or support Dad effectively at a difficult time: as a result, their health declined. They are now improving and happy in their new permanent care home.

Having moved our 97-year-old mother from another ostensibly fine, care home, our family have been delighted to discover that Lavender Oaks offers care which is quite simply on a different plane with what we'd previously experienced. We've gone from constant concern and a necessary proactive involvement
to being able to relax in the comforting knowledge that our mother is receiving the most caring care available, delivered by a demonstrably cohesive and communicative team (from management downwards) of genuinely caring staff, who are both professional and lovely caring people themselves. It's difficult to praise them too highly.
Aside from care, the decor, facilities and food are similarly first class. We have no hesitation in recommending Lavender Oaks.

My father has been in Lavender Oaks since November 2017 and had been looked after by the carers and nurses that met his basic care needs bathing, food, friendly chats that the staff provided.
My father moved into the home and required cancer care/end of life care which the home promised that they could
provide to us last November and my father has deteriorated quite quickly this week. The staff were only just beginning to learn to have assessments on end of life care and they knew my father would need a syringe driver which we thought that the home would provide. This week we have had meetings with hospice staff and they feel Lavender Oaks would not meet my father's needs even though they are advertising palliative care/end of life care/motor neurone and physiotherapy.
If anyone is looking to move a loved one into Lavender Oaks I would not recommend it as they are not palliative care trained and cannot provide this.

My father moved to Lavender Oaks Care Home in October 2017 from another care home not too far away.
We were certainly impressed by the modern, luxurious nature of the building and facilities, which are exceptional, but actually, it's the staff that are key. Every member of staff we have met, from day
one, has been, without exception, caring, friendly and helpful.
In his new environment, Dad has flourished. He is treated with dignity and respect. Staff at all levels engage with him and understand him and his needs. The change we have seen in him since he moved to this home has absolutely vindicated our decision to change care homes. Thank you, everyone.

Fantastic care home with excellent facilities and beautifully built/decorated. First class staff, extremely supportive to residents and family. They helped my mum settle very quickly. Mum's health has rapidly improved. She has gained some independence. Would highly recommend.
