The home is fully wheelchair accessible, featuring 64 en-suite rooms where each floor is aptly named: Cecil, Willow, Bark, and Bur, creating a sense of community and comfort. Mum has been at the home for about 6 months. She seems to be very happy, she has dementia and so not completely aware. The care she receives is excellent. The carers are superb, very attentive and considerate. The surroundings are very comfortable. She has a lovely room with a door to the outside.


It

is a pleasure to visit her there as it is such a happy place.

Some carers are fantastic, others need prompting. The activities co-ordinator is amazing, everyone loves her and she is fantastic with them.

All the carers are always cheerful, friendly and professional. Mum is supported in exactly the way she wishes. She is encouraged to try activities she thought she would not be able to do due to visual impairments.
Mum has flourished due to all the TLC in Oak Manor. Her confidence and enjoyment for
life have returned.

Dad settled in immediately. Very friendly, caring environment. I was nervous at first as dad lived in a different county, I didn’t need to worry. Dad loves his room, the staff are very caring and friendly. I am always made welcome when I visit, which is most days.


Coffee lounge is lovely, dad’s friends

have visited a couple of times, they enjoy having coffee and biscuits on their visit.

My dad has dementia and after caring for my mum found it hard to rely on others. When he chose to go to a care home I felt I had let him down but his friends have said how well he is and how this was the best thing I could have done for him. He still finds it hard to understand where he is sometimes
but he always feels safe and happy at Oak Manor. The staff all know his name which helps him feel at home from home. I cannot thank staff enough for what they do and how they have helped us both.
