The home is surrounded in a lovely green area with bees and wildlife. The house itself is a lovely looking property. Nans room overlooks the side garden so she has a lovely view. The staff are lovely and very attentive. Nan loves the food and activities, most importantly for me, I peace of mind knowing
Nan is safe and cared for.

The staff went above and behind to help my mum in the last days of her life. The nurses and carers went out of there way to look after us a family while sitting with her at the end. We would highly recommend that anybody looking for a nursing home would do no better than coming to Hadleigh Nursing Home!

Our dad was a resident at Hadleigh Nursing Home for over 2 years and was cared for by such dedicated, caring, committed and respectful staff throughout his time, we couldn't have asked for more for him. The decision to place our much loved dad in care was incredibly hard but we were so grateful for
the daily care and attention paid to his needs. The biggest of thank yous from us all.

My brother needed to have palliative and end of life care at a nursing home so Hadleigh Hall was chosen, this was an excellent choice. The care he is receiving is 100% above and beyond, the staff are attentive, helpful, kind, and warming. There is a cosiness on entry to the home and it's so clean and

My brother has been in Hadleigh Nursing Home for nearly three years and has vascular dementia. This is a difficult illness to deal with, but he is well looked after. He is an excellent artist, and I send him pads and pastels, but he keeps them in his case. I would like time to be encouraged to use them
and to look through the family photograph album, which I gave him. He gets very frustrated, and I think these things might calm him down when he is having a bad day. He is also very musical, loves signing, used to play the piano, and it very religious. It would be good if he could be encouraged to join in these activities. With the exception of being encouraged more in the activities mentioned, and I realise how busy the staff are, and their time is limited, I appreciate very much everything that all the staff do for him. I know that he has the best possible care, and I would not wish for him to be anywhere else.

Mum has been well looked after at Hadleigh Nursing Home during her time there. I particularly feel that the nursing staff are excellent. The cleaning staff are also very kind and considerate and take the time to understand Mum, whose speech is impaired. Through lockdown and Covid, this home has done
an excellent job of care and communication under very difficult circumstances.

My mother became a resident at Hadleigh Nursing Home at the beginning of May, so all her stay has been under Covid conditions. Considering the difficulties this has presented for both staff and family, I am pleased with how she has settled in, and that she seems relatively contented. With all the conditions
set by lockdown, it is difficult to evaluate all activities at the home, but it's been my experience that all the staff have performed their duties exceptionally well with both kindness and good humour. Also, a mention for the gardeners for keeping them so beautifully.

My father seems to be overall quite happy. The staff have been outstanding, especially his keyworker. It's early days yet.
The staff have been very helpful, caring and friendly.

Since my mother has moved from another local care home following a fall in which she broke her hip, she has become much more the person she used to be. She greatly values being able to walk outside and has started to join in with activities again. The staff are very friendly and assured - they seem
to be more confident in their role than I have experienced - and with several lounges to choose from, mum can always find somewhere quiet to do her crosswords or paint.
The surroundings are lovely - though less convenient for a trip into town than others might be, there seems also to be less need to 'escape'!
The senior team are very approachable and willing to be flexible in providing individual care and steps are taken to ensure that residents who need it have 1 2 1 time.

I thought along with my family that the overall care provided was good. The staff were considerate and helpful. This home is spacious, light and we like the way residents can wander around unnoticed.
However slight hesitation with communication during carers shifts could be improved ie regarding medicine

Job Title: Deputy Manager

I trained with Anglia Ruskin and then once qualified started as a ward nurse in the care of the elderly at Colchester General. I started my Nurse career later in life and was originally working in London for Barclays Bank and NIG Skandia. I have been a nurse for over 14 years, my last role was as a Senior Specialist Urology Nurse and I was in that role for 7 years. Before this, I worked for a community nursing team. Before this, I worked in school nursing leading clinics for 5 to 18-year-olds I also worked as a Renal dialysis Nurse.


Becoming a Nurse was my greatest achievement and have since loved working with families and patients, to help promote good quality care for all. I moved to Hadleigh 5 years ago and have been greatly impressed by the community and the wonderful surrounding areas. I enjoy spending time with my family and animals who are important to me. I have been given a wonderful opportunity to work at Hadleigh Nursing Home with a wonderful team to help promote patient-centred care and enhance residents' lives and wellbeing.

I worked in hotels for 18 years before I joined the team at Hadleigh Hall Nursing Home. I am passionate about making meal times special for our residents with great service and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. My experience in events and wedding coordinating makes me adaptable with a keen eye for the smaller details. I take great pride in exceeding both resident and relative expectations wherever possible. With a strong person-centred approach, Hadleigh Hall Nursing Home feels just like a family and I am proud to be part of a team delivering a first-class experience for our residents.
