Food and beverages cold. meals terrible, lots of waste. They never helped me or assisted me with washing or dressing as they were supposed to. Having to beg for my morphine. The commode was not emptied. No bin in the bathroom, had to put sanitary things in the bin in the bedroom. Told there was two
hourly checks through the night, never saw anybody. I had made a personal diary but someone had been in my room and tore a page out of it, screwed it up and thrown it in the drawer. Told them I had a hiatus hernia but they kept bringing spicey food. Laid in bed for two days with a bad chest infection, I have COPD and had to tell them to send for a doctor.
Thinking of taking this further.

The staff, from cleaners to management, are superb. My mum has been a resident in Montpellier Manor since August 2020 and in that time all she has received is love and kindness, which is a great comfort to me and my family. The food is of the highest standards and the care staff... well where do I start?
They are kindness personified. I have never had any need to complain about anything they do. This home really is of the highest standard.

Was transferred from the hospital and found the staff very kind and helpful. Accommodation is very good. Appreciated privacy with own room and ensuite. Visitors are always made to feel welcome.

Beautiful care home, just like a 5-star hotel! The staff are lovely and brilliant involving residents in lots of activities to keep them stimulated. I highly recommend Montpellier Manor Care Home.

Mum was very reluctant to move to a care home. However, the moment she arrived she was fine. She was so happy with how friendly and welcoming the staff and residents were. She settled straight away and says she feels like she is living in a 5 star hotel.
I am delighted and relieved by how organised
the whole process has been. All the staff seem committed to their roles making it a happy environment immediately.

The only problem, being so far from the kitchen and well down the corridor means hot drinks and food served in the room are cooler. Juice and water are always provided in the room.

Montpellier Manor is an excellent care home. All staff are welcoming, helpful, caring and considerate to the residents and their relatives. Nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make the residents feel comfortable in their surroundings. They show residents respect, dedication and
loving care. The only adverse point is the telephone system. Carers are busy with their own priorities and are sometimes unable to deal with incoming calls for residents who do not have mobile phones.
However, Montpellier Manor is a beautiful home with excellent care and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Dad became a full-time resident after a brief respite stay. Overall Dad is very content and very well looked after. He looks well and interacts with the staff and residents very well. He entered the care home environment due to his health and cognitive ability declining at a faster rate. He is suffering
from vascular dementia and Alzheimers and the staff are very caring and understanding with him. He has fluid retention in both legs and the home has facilitated a reclining chair to elevate his legs combined with daily walks to try and slow the fluid retention down. The family are happy that Dad is very well looked after and this reduces our anxiety knowing that his needs are met by the home. Occasionally a few days pass when he is unshaven but this is easily resolved during a family visit. I would prefer if the home gave me more feedback with regard to doctors' consultations as I feel I am out of the loop at the moment.

My dad has been at Montpellier Manor for the past 3 years. He was very poorly when he arrived after having a head injury. Originally this was a rest for him but he wanted to stay. If he wasn't being cared for by the team of people at the home, and I mean everyone there from the carers and nurses and
the chefs who make him his meals, he wouldn't be with us. They have looked after him through covid and were so careful and stuck to all visitation rules keeping every safe. It's very clean in the home and his medication and meals are on time, as he is very set in his ways. He has just had his 86th Birthday and, despite being a little off-colour recently, he was so happy on his birthday. I will never be able to thank the staff here enough. The staff plan activities and keep the residents in a good state of mind. The jubilee decorations for the late Queen were amazing the time and effort spent on this were just so kind. I hope the hard work of the staff here is rewarded.

My mother has been a resident for one year. During that time she has been very well cared for. All the staff I have come into contact with have been caring and considerate and professional, and my mother is happy and settled. My mother's room is warm, comfortable and clean as are the communal spaces.
The atmosphere at Montpellier Manor is professional, welcoming and calm. I am very happy my mother is in your care.

Mam was in the care home as she was having some work done at home. She was in a basic room with a bed, shower, wardrobe, chair and dresser, with a TV on the wall. We did a pre-assessment the week before with the manager, over the phone and she assured us that Mam would have all she needed, but this
was not the case. We had asked that Mam had 2 baths in the week, but, despite it being in her notes that she had one, she did not. She requested a toasted teacake for breakfast, but they didn’t have any, and they ran out of lemonade, but didn’t bother to go and get more, so we took these items in ourselves. Mam said the nicest people in the home were the domestics who took the time to chat with her for a few minutes. Charging of hearing aids was not done. Mam needed low care but we were charged for high care which they said was correct? The brochure needs updating if this is the case. All in all very disappointing and would not recommend.

The staff are always very, very helpful. I visit my mother on a regular basis. I'm disabled so need help from the staff with PPE. This is never a problem and they are always willing to help. My mother is highly delighted, as we are as a family, with the care and attention she receives. It gives us all
peace of mind that she is in a safe environment and getting cared for.

A very caring and friendly care home. Nothing was ever too much trouble and questions and queries were always answered quickly and efficiently regarding our mam's care. Montpellier staff work hard to keep their residents safe during covid with good policies regarding visitors requiring covid tests before
contact with residents. I was always able to book a slot to see our mam and I had many lovely visits to the care home to see her in the lovely garden area.


Our mam is now back at home after spending a short period of respite at Montpellier. Our mam has been happy during her time at Montpellier and the support given to her from staff and the encouragement given every day to get better to enable her to get back to her own home was a fundamental part of the healing process.


As a family, we, mam's daughters, can’t thank the staff at Montpellier enough for the care given to our mam. Our mam was safe, happy and received good care.

When I first started looking for a care home for my parents I searched throughout the area. As an ex 'mystery shopper' I had some background on what made a great care home.


Montpellier Manor is not just great, it is amazing. The staff are, without exception, such caring, such professionals and as

my parent's daughter, I have become part of a family that is Montpellier.


They loved and supported my parents. We sadly lost my dad recently, and now my mum is end of life. You want to do the best for your relatives and not once have I been unhappy with the care received. This is more than a care home, it's a family home that provides excellence in care.


During the pandemic, we still could visit, albeit through some great design of providing a safe environment for all the residents.


Thank you seems not enough. You have been a significant part of loving my parents, I will never forget you all.
