Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees for respite stays.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Thank you so much for taking the time to submit your review - we were very pleased to hear that you found our home pleasant and helpful, and to see your good scores, particularly for the team and care in the home. I would like to reassure you that we always make sure we have enough team members 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure all residents are safe and well cared for. In regards to menus, our chef at Buchanan Court works closely with residents to plan varied menus that are nutritious and fresh - of course, if anyone would prefer a lighter dish or healthy snack, these are always available too. We do apologise for the cleaning - we were unfortunately short staffed recently due to seasonal holidays and some illness in the team, but I am happy to let you know that we are currently recruiting an extra member to the housekeeping team to ensure these issues do not occur again. Thank you again for your feedback and please let us know if we can help with anything in the future.

Thank you for your lovely review of Buchanan Court, particularly for your comments on the caring team at the home. In regards to the food in the home, we do apologise that recently, where we have had some short term gaps in the team, we have fallen short of our high standards. We always strive to offer fresh, delicious meals made in-house, tailored to the needs and wishes of residents. We have had to use agency chefs recently whilst we recruit new permanent team members and have now liaised with the company to make sure, where possible, that we use the same chef who we are working closely with to get them fully trained and supported to make sure we are delivering nutritious, tasty and hot meals to all residents. I have over a decade's worth of experience in the health sector both in the NHS as a Registered Nurse, and working as a Clinical Lead and Operational Manager for a private health company.
Empathy, patient-centred care and effective team leading are some of the qualities and skill sets I display in my managerial position.
