Timken Grange is located in the village of Duston and the home is purpose-built and finished to a very high standard. The home continues to welcome new residents for permanent and respite care. The home is built on the site of the former British Timken Factory.

Timken Grange is proud to have achieved Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) accreditation to provide personally tailored support for veterans.

The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 66 residents in single en suite rooms with wet room provision. Timken Grange's facilities include a cinema room and a coffee shop area as well as cosy, quiet lounges where residents can relax and socialise.

Putting residents at the heart of everything they do, the dedicated care team at Timken Grange spend time getting to know their residents, and work with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans that ensure their needs are met, now and in the future. They strive to ensure all aspects of the service provided is focused on individual and compassionate care, with respect and dignity at the forefront.

In the short time that Mum has been in your care, we have been generally satisfied with most aspects of the care provided. There is an issue with the laundry, some items are missing, which is difficult to understand as every item is labelled and buttoned. The staff are always very welcoming, and on
the whole, show a good amount of care. The Jubilee celebration day was amazing. The staff worked so hard to make it a day to remember by all - well done.

My most sincere thanks to each and every one of you who have cared for my Uncle. You all do the most amazing job of dealing with so many complex issues. You went over and above the call of duty by caring for my cousin and his daughter when they arrived from NZ after an 18-month absence due to Covid.
You eased what was a painful goodbye to a loved Father and Grandad, always respectful but also highlighting the man that was my uncle. Thank you so much.

We've lived here for two months, learning all the time and gradually settling in. The accommodation is comfortable and practical, the staff are all very attentive and look after us well. The food is good with a varied menu over 4 weeks, and special requirements are dealt with well. We are now settled
and very content.

Good, staff are warm and welcoming. Mother seems happy and content. For the platinum jubilee, unexpected guests were welcomed in and in a calm, professional manner, staff extended the space and were inclusive throughout. One area that would significantly improve the overall care would be to make sure
my mother has her hearing aids in and that there is battery life.

From the time we arrived, we were greeted by a member of staff who was very helpful and guided us to where we wanted to go. They were very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. We came during the Queen's platinum jubilee where we were all provided with a satisfactory cup of tea and sandwiches,
strawberries and scones. The environment was overall good and well organised. Very good experience.

Mum has been at Timken Grange for just over 6 months. It did take her a while to settle in, but now she is living there happily. The manager has listened to any concerns we may have had in those early days and took steps to ensure that Mum’s needs are catered for. The management and staff really do
care about the residents well being and we see that Mum has made friends, both with staff and other residents. There are many activities which Mum joins in with regularly – and she particularly enjoys singing along, and dancing at the musical events. There are also occasional trips out – she has even been taken to the local pub! It was a difficult task trying to find a care home for Mum, but I believe that we could not have found a better care home for her than Timken Grange.

My dad has been a resident at Timken for nearly 2 years. In the beginning, he joined in with many of the activities but more recently he has had a number of visits to the hospital and since returning to the home he has been fairly immobile. The staff assured me that there was nothing they couldn't provide
from a care point, even changing his bed to a more suitable electric type and implementing a hoist to help him in and out. Usually, on my visits, he sleeps either in bed or in his chair so imagine my delight when I arrived yesterday to be told he was up having his hair cut. He'd been to the lounge for lunch for the first time in 2 months and he is putting on weight. The staff work continuously to make sure he is getting the care he needs and yesterday they even went out and bought him a beer (alcohol-free of course!) His face was pure ecstasy! They really do go the extra mile and I honestly can't thank them enough. I would highly recommend Timken Grange. It's like my extended family!

My mother, who is now 97years old, has been at Timken Grange since it opened when she claimed it was like a five-star hotel, and now it is truly her home and she feels secure within its bright and airy rooms. The staff make every effort and more to ensure her happiness and my mother considers them friends
with whom she can feel fully at ease. She has a regular in-house hairdresser and manicurist while, as well as the many daily activities offered, there is a plush purpose-made cinema with sofas. The staff even arrange regular facetime chats with my mother as we live a considerable distance from Northampton. My mother has many ailments but we feel secure in the knowledge that staff ensure she has the medication as prescribed and closely monitors her 24-hours a day, to be on hand to make sure appropriate medical care is provided promptly when required. Timken Grange saved my mother’s life when she was at a low 4-years ago and offers her a safe, dignified and extremely comfortable final years.

Sadly Dad was only in Timken Grange Care Home for a week before he was taken back into hospital and passed away. We feel sad that he never truly experienced life at Timken. My mother has been a resident of the care home since July 2018 and since the transfer of ownership last year, we have seen changes for the better. I often see directors and members of the management team at the home who are always engaging. I am always welcomed into the home for my visit, which has
been difficult through the Covid-19 pandemic and as she is at the end of her life. Since the new manager arrived, the manager has gone out of her way to ensure that my mother's needs have been met; nothing is too much trouble and she is passionate about working at the home, being very hands-on and engaging with family members and all members of staff/management to ensure that the home provides the best care for residents. The manager shows empathy towards all residents and has a great team of senior staff members around her who share the same commitment, all of whom I have got to know and ensure that my mother is kept comfortable. I feel assured at all times that my mother is in the best place. Well done TG.

My mum has been in Timken Grange for a couple of months, having been previously in a care home for one month, which she hated. From our very first visit, the staff have been most welcoming, courteous, and polite. The rooms are equal to a very good hotel chain, the food is varied and ample. The overall

Our mother lived at Timken Grange for two years, until her death. Our family is full of gratitude for the care and love she received. She arrived withdrawn, reclusive and confused. The Care and Lifestyle teams deserve great credit for how they helped her into better habits and coaxed her into sociability.
Her smile returned and she would often tell us "I love it here." Staff enjoyed learning her story, making her laugh, holding her hand. As Mum's dementia accelerated and she could do very little, staff would sit with her, play her favourite CDs, help her eat and drink, bring the therapy dog to see her - even sing to her. The management were outstanding in the Covid pandemic, finding ways of being very protective of residents without being insensitive or heavy-handed to relatives. We would recommend Timken Grange wholeheartedly to anyone wishing excellent, compassionate care for their relative.

Louise Mulvany

My name is Louise, I have four grown-up children and four grandsons, I have worked in the health and social care sector for 40 years,


I started my care journey when I was in the Girl Guides working towards my care badge, every weekend I would go to the local hospital and sit with the elderly patients and assist them with eating, drinking and read to them, after I earned my badge I continued to go every weekend until I was old enough to get a job in the care sector.


I started as a carer and have worked my way up. Since arriving at Timken Grange nearly seven years ago to take up a role as a senior carer I have progressed to medication manager, deputy manager, care manager and now home manager.


I am passionate about the care we provide, and our bespoke approach to each individual care needs which is provided by our fully trained care team. Whilst already having various qualifications within the sector, I am currently studying for a BSc Honours in Health and Social Care. I am excited to be utilising my skills and being able to further my career.


Being able to support my team, creating a great place to work and helping them embark on their own careers in care is important to me. I am driven by my passion for the elderly and providing exceptional care wherever I go. I am truly dedicated to the improvement and advancement of care techniques and delivering these in an environment that puts our residents at ease, thus allowing them to have their freedom and enabling them to live an enriched life.

I am the deputy manager here at Timken Grange. I began my journey here as a carer back in 2018 and have worked my way up the ranks, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in the process.


I have a passion for care and do my utmost to ensure that all of our residents receive person-centred care to the highest standard. I am immensely proud to be part of the team here at Timken Grange.


I'd like to tell you what I do in my spare time, however, I have a very busy life as a mother of four children, so spare time is very rare. I love spending time with my family and doing the things that my children enjoy.

I have worked as a Business Support Manager at Timken Grange since May 2022 and previously worked as the administrator for another Care Home in Wellingborough for 6 years, so have been in the industry for 7 years.

I worked for many years before this in the property business, and when I moved from London to Northamptonshire working in the care industry was a real eye-opener but saw it as a whole new challenge.


The way I see it is we will all hopefully get to old age at some point, and will then all need help and assistance, and I think it is lovely to see the residents continue to enjoy and have a good quality of life.

Emma is a proud mother to Lewis who is soon heading off to New York to do a 6 month placement as a chef. Emma loves to socialise, she enjoys a pint of Fosters, and spending time with friends and family, in her spare time. Emma goes out of her way to ensure all residents' nutritional needs are met and their taste buds tantalised. She is extremely funny and keeps the whole team entertained.

Hollie Butcher

Hollie is a proud mother to daughter Emily and loves to spend time with her whenever she has the chance. Hollie sings wherever she is in the home, thankfully, she has a nice voice. She is very thorough and organised in everything she does, and will turn her hand to anything that needs doing in the home, even decorating rooms, which she does to an impeccably high standard.


Mark

Mark Glazebrook

Job Title: Handy Person

Mark is a great asset to Timken Grange, he can turn his hand to most things and takes pride in keeping everything in the home in tip-top condition.


Mark loves to watch Formula One in his spare time. Mark has been around in Timken Grange since his father was cared for here, when his father passed away Mark decided to apply for the role of Handy Person, as he enjoyed being in the home. Mark hasn’t been with us long but he is already very much part of the team.
