Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or

medications that a GP wouldn’t normally prescribe such as paracetamol and indigestion relief, and any
other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

We are sorry to hear about the delays in response times when your mum presses her call button, and we understand how this can be frustrating, especially when she needs assistance with using the bathroom. Safety is a top priority for us, and we are concerned about the falls that have occurred as a result. Please be assured that we will review this matter with our team to improve response times and ensure your mum's safety and comfort are better supported.
Additionally, we appreciate your comments about the food. We understand the importance of a balanced diet, especially for managing diabetes, and we take your concerns about the sugar and fat content seriously. We will review the menu and explore healthier options, including more fruits, vegetables, and salads, to better accommodate dietary needs, as we do have a balanced and nutritional menu with healthy snacks available. Job Title: Home Manager
I’m a qualified nurse and have worked in a children’s clinic as well as in older people’s care. Joining Lauder Lodge has been very exciting for me: commissioning a new home is a challenge, and the whole team has worked closely together to create a wonderful home from home.
I’ve enjoyed getting to know the team in the process, identifying their strengths and using them to everyone’s advantage. I’m enjoying watching the team grow while providing exceptional service and tailored care for every resident.
I’m infamous for my sweet tooth, so I particularly enjoy afternoon tea time, when I can spend time with the residents, sharing stories and memories over a cup of tea and, of course, freshly baked goodies!
Outside of work, shopping is a guilty pleasure of mine, followed by coffee dates with friends – usually just an excuse to get the biggest cake on display!
