Chelmunds Court has a high quality, innovative residential care and nursing home design, specially developed to provide expert care, in a safe and stimulating environment, for up to 73 older people.

Residents can enjoy mobilising around the curved corridors of the building’s quadrangle shape, which internally houses a safe, courtyard garden.

A central, dementia-friendly café has been designed as an environment to stimulate past memories, where residents can bring friends and relatives away from their natural residence. Lounges and dining rooms are stocked with baked goods and coffee and tea facilities and act as activity and entertainment areas too.

A corner activity room, complete with a low-level kitchen for group baking ease, has an external door positioned close to the Community Centre, to encourage community integration ease, including building beneficial intergenerational relationships.

Chelmunds Court is a 73 bed residential home offering compassionate, professional care for older people, especially those who are living with dementia, both residential and nursing. Centrally located in the Chelmsley Cross area of North Solihull this purpose-built care home is an integral part of one of the UK's largest-ever regeneration programmes.

Being a specialist provider of dementia care the Chelmunds Court team are well-placed to provide the 24-hour support, assistance and expert nursing required for all their residents.

The surrounding area has been extensively remodelled to provide state of the art leisure, healthcare, residential and community facilities, including new schools and green areas.

Went to visit my dad. They asked if we wanted to sit outside and made Dad as comfortable as possible. They told me all of the activities they had planned and ones Dad had participated in. Dad loved looking at the flowers in the garden.

I am very happy I placed my mother in this nursing home as she seems more calm and content living there. She is also kept clean and tidy.
Staff are friendly and helpful whenever family members visit, and we are kept up to date with residents' activities through photographs and WhatsApp calls.

My family are extremely happy with the way in which our mother, who has dementia, is being looked after at Chelmunds Court.
At our visit, she looked peaceful and happy, clean and well dressed. Mom has to be encouraged to eat and drink and the staff are always attentive to her needs. She is encouraged
to partake in activities during the week and we are sent photos and videos of her taking part. We have WhatsApp calls and recently, visits were increased to five members of the family, which is great.

Have only been able to visit in the room downstairs due to covid, the visits have been lovely and the staff that are doing the visits are very helpful and understanding.
As for anywhere else in the building, I have not seen it in over a year.

Very happy with the way my mom has been treated and cared for, both physically and mentally. She is always praising the staff on how helpful and kind they are, and how well-fed she is. The activity team have always gone above and beyond to bring Mom out of her shell and include her in everything, also
they send regular videos and photos of Mom enjoying the activities. We are happy to see her so settled and happy.

It was my mum's birthday on 1st June. Thanks to the activities staff we put on a fabulous party with Buck’s Fizz (no alcohol), cupcakes, balloons and super singers. What a fabulous afternoon, all the residents had an amazing day. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. Mum was
showered, had her hair done and was dressed in her party dress. She looked great. Thanks guys.

Always had great service from Chelmunds Court.
Mum has been here for 3 years now and the standard of care is outstanding. This is my first visit in a year due to covid restrictions and it was great to see mum looking healthy and well.
10/10 for covid security, LFT and full PPE for me to ensure safety.

Due to Covid, we have not been able to go into my wife's care home, but the staff are always helpful, pleasant and I know my wife is being looked after well. The activities team send regular photos and calls to keep me informed. Today, after six months, I saw my wife for the first time. We held hands.
Everything was organised well, no complaints.

Chelmunds Court have provided my mum, as a resident and myself, with exceptional care. Mum was admitted last August 2020 under Covid discharge. She has Alzheimer’s and had suffered a fall. She subsequently had sepsis and needed to be nursed in bed. All care staff, nurses and managers have shown Mum
the utmost care and professionalism. I have been given permission to help with Mum’s feeding, taking Covid tests with staff. They treat me with such kindness and compassion. The whole team are extremely kind to Mum and she seems settled. They have also supported us through the CHC process which is so complicated. I would like to thank all those from reception to nursing care, especially three particular members of staff for their kindness and support. The care home manager has really turned the home into a wonderful, caring place. Thank you to everyone involved.

They are totally friendly and look after my dad so well. He is clean well looked after and safe and they update us once a week with how Dad is getting on. He has settled in really well, they make sure he eats and drinks, even when he doesn’t want to and is being stubborn. I would recommend this home

The activity coordinator and her team have made these last few months a whole lot better for our family with the regular FaceTimes with Mom. Not being able to visit is hard so to know that they really do care about the residents and families is just wonderful. I also receive messages and photos from
them all too. We are so grateful and thankful for everything that the staff here do to look after my mom.

My father-in-law was placed in Chelmunds Court in December 2020 because of his Alzheimer's condition. He's been there a few months now and is very happy and settled which makes my wife and me happy and settled too. The staff are wonderful, always friendly and show they care not only about my father-in-law
but about us too. We haven't been able to have a physical face to face with him yet because of Covid but the staff always arrange video and phone calls with him. The staff always send pictures showing what the residents have been up to which is kind and we pass them onto the family. Overall I can't fault Chelmunds Court. It's always a bit worrying when he's been transferred to a new place but no need to worry, it's great.

My mom has been at Chelmunds Court since August 2020. The care my mom has and is receiving is second to none. All my mom's medical needs are taken care of every day. Nothing is too much trouble when we talk to the staff and when we drop things off at reception for Mom we always receive the warmest
of welcomes. In these difficult times, they are doing an exceptional job in very difficult circumstances and should be highly commended for it. I don't think my mom would be managing with lockdown if it wasn't for the care and attention she receives at Chelmunds Court and long may it continue.

Chelmunds Court made my dad's transition from his family home to a care home, far easier than it could have been. Dad was welcomed by professional, caring staff and was treated with the greatest of respect. Dad has been there nearly a year and we have no complaints. Carers ensure Dad is always clean,
warm and content. The food is always fresh and Dad enjoys his meals and they look delicious too.
Dad recently turned 80 and the chef and staff at Chelmunds couldn't have made my dad's celebration more special with the chef baking Dad a birthday cake for his big day. We had a family get together there which Dad really enjoyed and was glad to see his family had come to celebrate with him.
Housekeeping and maintenance is excellent and staff are always around to help.
We have assessment reviews to ensure Dad is getting the best possible care with the CTL and can speak to them whenever we need to.
Office staff are friendly and approachable too.
