Woodlands Lodge is Formby’s hidden gem! Located close to the heart of Formby, it is the ideal home setting with a welcoming team of care professionals. The Lodge provides a range of residential care and residential dementia care services to residents over the age of 65.

Arranged over two floors, Woodlands Lodge provides a community setting where members can benefit from high-quality care, tailored to their individual needs. It has been specially designed to improve residents’ quality of life, through mobility and experience.

Fully equipped with high-quality furnishings and fittings throughout; each bedroom comes with an adjustable profile bed, call bell system, flat-screen TV, telephone, wireless internet access and ensuite wet room. There is a range of facilities from comfortable lounges, dining rooms, health & beauty salon, resident’s kitchen and outdoor spaces that are perfect for visits with friends & family.

Woodlands Lodge understands the importance of a well-balanced and nutritious diet and therefore, a carefully selected team produces home-cooked meals onsite daily. The resident's preferences and cultural or dietary requirements are incorporating into the menu and guests are able to join residents at mealtimes if there have been prior arrangements.

The Lodge has their very own in-house lifestyle and wellbeing team who organise a full schedule of daily activities and outings. They are dedicated to making their residents’ home a happy, vibrant and fun place to live! With lots of daily in-house activities taking place in the communal lounges, there is always something fun going on around every corner.

I couldn't agree with you more, and I am very proud to say all our staff are passionate about caring for our lovely residents and it feels like one big happy family with lots of fun and laughter on a daily basis. Our residents have a lot of input into what activities take place both in and out of the home. Recently they have been to see Concorde at Manchester Airport, The flower show, The Airshow, Everton Football Club, Liverpool Museums and lots of fine dining. I don't know where they get the energy from but every day is another adventure and we are delighted to care for such wonderful residents.

The house is very comfortable and welcoming. Residents are always well dressed and well cared for whenever I visit. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. There are interesting activities on many days.

I highly recommend all aspects of this facility, especially all staffs kind, caring and helpful attitude.
The cleanliness, range and quality of facilities are all first class.
My only suggested improvement would be to move the signing in register slightly further from the entrance door, as it sometimes
interferes with the PIR closing mechanism.

I couldn't be happier with my mum living at Woodlands Lodge. The care she receives is exceptional. All the care staff are lovely with Mum and nothing is too much trouble.


Mum has a daily choice of meals, all of which are lovely, and she has a better social life now than she has had for years with

the excellent trips out and daily organised activities. Woodlands Lodge has given Mum her sparkle back again - thank you for this!

Joined: 2022

Having worked in the care sector now for more than 15 years in various roles, the most fulfilling role has to be working with prospective residents, their family or their representatives. I find it most rewarding in helping to find the most suitable care home that will endeavour to meet the care needs of each new resident, along with show casing and promoting the many superb facilities each individual care home has to offer.


My main duty is just by being there every step of the way, helping to support families to take away some of the stress of trying to find the right care home for their loved one.


In my spare time I love nothing more than walking my cockapoo, travelling to different counties within the UK and visiting different countries to sample the different restaurants, sightseeing and experiencing different cultures, but most importantly spending quality time with family and friends.
