Pebble Mill is a purpose-built home welcoming residents with a range of care needs, including residential, nursing and Parkinson's.

Set in the heart of Edgbaston, Bupa’s Pebble Mill Care Home is just two miles from Birmingham city centre and a stone’s throw from Cannon Hill Park and its renowned Arts Centre. The BBC’s fondly-remembered Pebble Mill Studio closed its doors in 2005 to make way for a family of world-class healthcare facilities like Pebble Mill Care Home.

With superior standards of design, build and interior finish, everything you’ll find at Bupa’s Pebble Mill Care Home has been made with residents in mind. From the wide and welcoming corridors and communal spaces to the wheelchair-accessible lifts and stunning interior décor in each of the comfortable en-suite bedrooms.

My father required respite care for just over a week. After a visit, the family decided to use the Pebble Mill Care Home.
The care staff were friendly and approachable and seemed to genuinely care about my father asking questions about what he liked to eat and his hobbies. Although a new home, it was
very clean when we visited and I would be happy for my father to stay there again.

After delaying moving my Grandfather into a home as long as we possibly could, and after a false start on another move. The process has been very smooth and my Grandfather has settled in very well with none of the expected arguments which has relieved a level of stress of the whole family.

My mother, who has gone as a nursing care resident, was taken on the second day of opening. She was the first there and I cannot speak too highly of staff and facilities. She seems settled and happy. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anybody. It is better than a top hotel.

I have been working as a home manager for over 20 years, I have worked in many different settings such as Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Elderly care as a Home Manager and also as an Area Director.


The sense of community a care home gives to residents and their families as well as to those that work in the home is what makes it for me. I feel privileged to be supporting the older generation as they have lived the life I am living. I love people's life stories; I love the spontaneity that comes with a variety of personalities.


I am a wife and mother to two children. I have two energetic dogs and in my spare time, I love to spend time travelling in my campervan seeing the beautiful sites and pubs around the UK. I have a passion for dance, art and music.
