Blenheim Court located in Liss is a purpose-built care home, providing quality residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and short stay basis. There’s plenty of places to relax and entertain including a bistro, hair salon and cinema plus a library, music room and choice of comfortable lounges with stunning views over the South Downs. The home is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens with several rooms on the lower ground floor having access to the gardens from a private patio area.

Individual bedrooms are en-suite and decorated to an elegant and lavish standard whilst incorporating leading safety features and state of the art nurse call system. The home is finished to an opulent standard throughout offering not only comfort but elegance and security.

People living at the home will enjoy freshly made home-cooked dishes at every meal. Throughout the home they promote choice, and the dining experience is no exception. The full menu is developed by the home's chef with individuals living in the home. The home's chef takes pride in preparing a balanced diet, whilst catering for individual dietary needs, wants and choices.

They are proud to be the only care home group to have their own unique award-winning dementia training ‘My World’ which is accredited by City and Guilds. It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, in addition to addressing clinical aspects of care.

In the short time Blenheim Court has been open, they have made an impact on the community through their hospitality - of which myself and a number of church members have been recipients. Film suppers, coffee and cake, street parties and pop-up restaurants have been welcomed and have enabled a number
of Liss residents to experience the special building (some of the best views in Liss) and the hospitality of staff.


We look forward to building a good relationship and, in time, get to know staff and residents.

My needs are great and I was extremely poorly when I arrived - emaciated. The chef patiently tempted me to eat with tasty treats and I feel I have turned a corner to recovery. The doctor has been checking on me and the manager has seen that my medication has been carefully, and correctly administered.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and each member has been trained in many roles and is able to deal with whatever is necessary or will find someone else quickly. I have had good, careful care from turning me in the night to care in transferring and dressing me by day.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The home is very comfortable and well appointed. Everything has been thought of to make you feel relaxed and at home.

From the moment we stepped over the welcome mat we were greeted with cheerfulness and concern. The rooms and restaurant were spotless with white napkins, tablecloths and sparkling glassware. The bistro made fantastic cappuccino and here I played scrabble, met the 'pat dog' and had chats with everybody.


We

had 2 beds in the room for medical reasons. The second room we used as a lounge and meant we had personal space when needed. The burden of looking after my husband was lifted from me and I had a good rest.

As Home Manager at Blenheim Court, I am proud to lead my professional staff team in delivering the highest standards of residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for to 60 elderly residents at Blenheim Court our stunning Hampshire home.


I take my responsibilities very seriously and am passionate to maintain a safe environment, promote the highest standard of care and make a positive difference to each and every resident’s life.


Maintaining strong relationships with residents and their relatives is important to me and I understand the contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of a care home.


I am proactive in supporting the development and training provided by Caring Homes, which gives the care and all the services teams the skills to deliver quality care and the opportunity to progress their roles within the home and company.


I have continued with my personal development including Future Leaders, Coaching and Inspiring My World Leadership Programme which are all ILM accredited to make me a stronger leader to coach and mentor my colleagues to continue to provide quality in every aspect of care delivery.


Away from Blenheim Court, my busy life is filled with raising my family. Having grown up in the village of Liss, I am proud to be part of the strong local community and make Blenheim Court a focal point for the Liss community.
