Welcome to Grosvenor Manor; a lovely and luxurious care home located in the historic city of Chester. Grosvenor Manor is a purpose-built 81 bed ‘new generation’ care facility that has been expertly designed to meet all current CQC requirements and provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care.

The care home offers residential, nursing and specialist dementia care.

Internally, the attention to detail is impressive. The high specification and décor of Grosvenor Manor have been carefully considered by an interior designer, creating stylish yet comfortable and practical spaces for residents to enjoy.

Arranged over two floors, the facilities at Grosvenor Manor are exceptional, with each floor enjoying its own communal lounges and restaurants. All bedrooms boast en-suite wet rooms, and there is also a spa assisted bathroom, hairdresser & nail bar.

There are beautiful, mature gardens and outside seating areas at Grosvenor Manor along with extensive terrace areas to the first floor.

My family are very grateful for the amazing love and care shown to my dad and to Mum since he died. There has always been love and care but the response has been stunning. Little things matter. Everyone at Grosvenor Manor Care Centre practices this which is very reassuring and not unnoticed. I am so
impressed by all. The night Dad died he had had pain relief and was sedated and was at peace. The senior nurse (who I had not met before) let me know that she was a lay minister, had holy water in her car and asked if Mum and I would like her to lead some prayers and bless Dad. In the moment, but frankly, at any time this was a brave and amazing thing to offer. When you can’t change an outcome how you get there matters so much! What she did was so special for Dad, Mum and me and a huge part of getting things right. This has meant so much to all. The circumstances under which you have to work are not easy. I recognise it and applaud the amazing group of people you have at Grosvenor Manor Care Centre. Thank you.

My mother has now been a resident at Grosvenor Manor Care Centre for over two years, and I continue to be delighted with the care she is receiving. Nothing is too much trouble. Last weekend it was her 90th birthday, and not only was the cake the best I've ever seen - a real triumph - but the room
had acquired a few decorative touches too. My mother was crying with happiness. You all care so much. I am hugely grateful to you all.

From the moment you enter the care centre, it is obvious this is an excellent establishment. The care is superb and residents look very happy. I like how attentive the staff are and how approachable the management team is. You couldn't ask for better care. It's wonderful.

My sister and I have been very pleased with the way our mother has settled in the home.
Most of the staff are friendly and kind.
In spite of Covid, she has felt comfortable and cared for.
The food is excellent and no fuss is made if she wishes to eat in her room sometimes.
The facilities are
excellent.
Perhaps the activities could be a little more mentally challenging sometimes.
Overall, my mother has been very comfortable and happy in the home for nearly two and a half years.

Mum can be difficult, however, the staff are lovely and do try to encourage her with her daily care. They are getting to know her well. The only concern we had was the cleanliness and tidiness of her room and pictures not being put up on a visit following the home closure (Covid) however this was dealt
with and since then we have had no further issues.

Extremely expensive care home. Father's money has almost run out. Been struggling with hearing issues for as long as he's been a resident. Kept reporting the issue but nothing seems to get done. Arrived today (24/11/21) to find his teeth missing. He seems to be happy and settled otherwise.

My pre-stay tour confirmed that Grosvenor Manor lined up to the description on the website. I found it to be extremely clean and the care and attention from the staff were outstanding. I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. There was a lovely hotel atmosphere and the room and food were of

My mother-in-law has been in Grosvenor Manor Care Home for 6 months now and appears to have settled in well. Due to Covid, it has been difficult to get to know much about the day-to-day running of the care home or to meet many of the staff.
However, my mother in law appears to have got to know a lot
of the carers and speaks well of them. As restrictions are being lifted she is able to join in the activities and we were able to take her out into the gardens which was very pleasant.

Although our mother has only recently moved to Grosvenor Manor, my sister and I have been impressed by the professionalism, care and speed of response from the whole team from the first enquiry through to the settling in process. It had taken a while for our mum to come round to the idea of being in
a care home but she became unable to care for herself and live in her own house on her own. During the research process, it suddenly became urgent that we found somewhere for her, but I wanted to make sure that she would be in the best place possible. Grosvenor Manor stood out from the start. From the first contact to bringing the visit date forward, to having patience with and showing mum around so she made her own choices, to accepting her moving in the following day - a quick turnaround by any standard. Everyone we met was fun, caring, bright and professional. Covid protocols were followed and we knew that our mum would be safe and cared for in the best possible environment. Wonderful.

Moving our mum to respite care for the first time, following a traumatic spell in hospital was challenging and emotional for us as a family. It is a big adjustment, however, from the start, we have found nothing but wonderful help and support for mum, as well as ourselves as a family. The quality and
cleanliness of the facilities both in the rooms and public areas is excellent. The level of care and the quality of service our mum has had as she continues her recovery has been excellent which has been immensely comforting and reassuring for us all. The good rather than excellent rating relates to one member of staff who often answers the main reception phone who we find consistently brusque with any enquiries. A real shame as the first point of contact for an otherwise excellent home.

I’ve worked as a nurse for over 40 years in a variety of roles I thoroughly enjoy working in care homes. As a nurse, you can build relationships with the people you’re caring for and their families in a way that’s just not possible in a hospital setting where people come and go. I love the fact that we’re making a big difference to people’s lives and we get to see the evidence of that. I’m Lisa Forth I Joined our Grosvenor Family in April 2018. I facilitate our Wellbeing Programme to ensure our Residents have a Person Centred fulling & fun time at Grosvenor Manor. I’m married to Stephen who is an amazing support to me, we have four beautiful Granddaughters of whom we adore. I Feel Grosvenor Manor is my extended family, and family is very important to me.
