Birchmere Mews Care Home is a delightful home in Solihull. The home provides dedicated bedrooms for residents with dementia, featuring en-suite wet rooms and three-quarter-sized beds for comfort.

Many of the new bedrooms are designed for couples, with private lounge areas for where they can enjoy a mid-morning coffee and newspaper. Initially, I was very impressed by the 5-star accommodation that my mother received and the attention she was given by the staff.
Unfortunately, over the past few months standards appear to be dropping drastically.
1. The promise of minibus visits - none since October 2018
2. Activities seem to be
getting less and less.
3. Management appears to be non-existent.
4. A review with head office greatly needed.

I am very pleased to say how good the home is, how clean it is and how fantastic the staff are. Staff take great care of the residents and seem to do so much for and with them, which makes for a very happy place for them to live.

As soon as you arrive, you see a smart building and are then greeted with lovely, well-presented staff at the front desk. Any queries they sort. Very high standards of cleanliness in rooms, there are no bed smells unlike many other care homes. There is a relaxing atmosphere where residents seem happy
and received individualised care and again any problems or queries are sorted efficiently by staff. Staff members are attentive and friendly and the relationships between themselves and the residents and anyone else involved such as myself (independent caregiver) provide high levels of care. Activities and menus are displayed and all are encouraged to join in and are treated with dignity. 10/10

Since my mother moved here in March, the staff have gone out of their way to make sure she feels at home and the care she has received from everyone is amazing. My husband also had 2 weeks respite here and again, I cannot fault the care he received.

Mom went to Birchmere for a month's respite. We were extremely pleased at the level of care and attention that mom received.
There were plenty of activities that mom took part in and she was allowed to integrate her own activities into her stay effortlessly.
The standard of Birchmere Mews is of premium
hotelier standard, from good quality and variety of food to outdoor as well as indoor activities.
We will definitely be looking to return. Thank you to all the staff for treating my mom with dignity and care that she deserved.

A well presented, modern, and well maintained facility with all the amenities you could wish for in a care home. Restaurant quality food is varied and nutritious with an excellent choice on offer at all sittings. The staff and carers are friendly and welcoming and attentive to the needs of residents
and visitors alike. A wide variety of activities, trips and entertainment is also provided on a daily basis for the residents to enjoy.
