    other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
    an agreed hourly charge for this service.

We have a Mum and Aunt residing at Mountbatten Grange. Both are extremely happy and are getting the very best of care from the staff there. Physically and mentally all their needs are met and exceeded. They are now both so much better than when they were living alone and our worries about their future
have gone.

I was impressed with Mountbatten Grange from my very first contact when I enquired about long term respite care for my 90 year old parents. Every question, worry and anxiety I had about moving both my parents into a care home was treated with respect and understanding. Despite my parents' reservations
about a care home being like a prison and then having nothing to do there, they settled very quickly and now Dad says ‘it is better than a 5* hotel.’ The staff have gone out of their way to accommodate their needs ensuring they can be together. There are plenty of activities for them to take part in and there is always a welcome for family too when they visit. Dad, in particular, loves the variety of food and both my parents are looking healthier thanks to the care given to them. In the first month they were there they went on a boat trip on The Thames to Henley which they enjoyed immensely. As a family we are very pleased with our choice of care home for our parents.

Yet another successful respite stay at Mountbatten Grange. Mum has dementia and it’s always difficult with new surroundings but the staff here are great and Mum settles in well. The staff are great, friendly and professional. From speaking on the phone to first point of contact with customer care to
meet and greet on arrival. They fill me with confidence that mum will be safe and looked after well for her stay. Would highly recommend anyone using respite care for the first time to choose here and feel confident about the care.

My mother is so happy in the care home. She has improved every day since her arrival in March from hospital. The staff, from top to bottom, have been fantastic.
It is so good to know she is being looked after so well and we have no worries about her.
She has been on a boat trip to Henley and enjoyed
fish and chips and regularly takes part in singing and Zumba.

Could not fault it, always very friendly and helpful, and look after my sister with great care. The garden is kept very nice. The building kept immaculately clean. The snacks on arrival at the cafe are very nice, a very small problem, sometimes it's hard to find a parking place.

I would highly recommend Mountbatten Grange. The rooms and facilities are excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was very good with a nice range of choice and it was lovely to be able to have tea or coffee anytime when visiting. The visiting areas were also lovely to have a place
to relax outside of the room.

I have been visiting the home for the past year. I cannot compliment the staff highly enough. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome when you visit. They make my sister so happy and look after her well. The home is really clean and the food is excellent. The cakes in the cafe and the coffee
makes every visit worthwhile. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to live and we are so happy. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

Nan moved to Mountbatten Grange in May this year and is loving everything going on. From arts and crafts, cooking singing and dancing.
The staff are so helpful and everyone is so kind and caring. There is so much to do. The best move for nan.

After some years of caring for my mother at home my sister and I looked at suitable care homes within our vicinity. We were impressed with the facilities and ambience of Mountbatten Grange where she was admitted in December 2022. My mother had the onset of dementia and also a lack of mobility. I was
pleased with her room which was very well appointed and in very good decorative order. I was present with her for some hours each day and she was treated with care and compassion by the staff. I would like to thank them all with a special mention to the admissions Manager who was so helpful and reassuring before and during my mothers admission to Mountbatten Grange.

My mother had an incident of her own doing last Friday, the 14th of April. I just wanted to compliment three members of staff for their handling of my mother’s case with such care and consideration. The service from start to finish has been amazing. From the initial enquiry, managing the at the time unknown timings of the move from a hospital location to the home itself and then the brilliant service once Dad was in the home for his respite care. My mum spent nine nights in respite care for the first time. She thoroughly enjoyed herself, enjoyed the activities and was up singing and dancing. The staff are amazing, friendly, patient and can’t do enough for everyone. Mum is now part of their family and can’t wait to go back, thank you all so much

Compared to where my mother was living until very recently, I couldn’t be more delighted with everything at Mountbatten Grange Care Home. The facilities are fresh and bright. The room is clean and modern. But by far, the best thing is that the staff are amazing. I felt heard and understood when describing
my mother’s needs and they provide a loving, caring and friendly environment for my mum. It feels as if a weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I can relax in the knowledge that she is finally being well looked after.

I was made to feel very welcome when I enquired about getting my aunt into Mountbatten Grange. Their customer relations manager explained carefully how the system worked and the financial implications.
My aunt initially came in for respite care but has now decided she feels so comfortable there, she

Since placing my husband into Mountbatten Grange his condition has improved immensely. I felt so guilty having to put him into care but the staff made me feel good and not bad about doing it. Job Title: Home Manager

I started my career in care in 2001 and joined the Care UK team in 2006. What really stands out for me about Mountbatten Grange is its homely atmosphere. Family members can visit whenever they want and are always guaranteed a lovely welcome.


My goal at work every day is to make sure every resident is happy and enjoying a stimulating, fulfilling life. I think the only way to achieve this is by making sure that each resident receives truly individualised care from people who’ve invested time in really getting to know them, their needs and their experiences. It’s also important to me that family members are happy with the care that their loved one is receiving. Getting great feedback from relatives is very rewarding for everyone on our team.


Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors, taking walks, going for bike rides and generally spending time in the countryside. Many residents enjoy spending time outdoors too, so we like to get out and about as much as possible, in the local area and also to the coast.
