Barony Lodge is a beautiful modern home, where the dedicated team provides residential, dementia and respite care breaks, which can be pre-booked.

They follow not-for-profit provider Sanctuary Care’s unique Enriching Lives framework, based on the six senses people need to be fulfilled and happy – a sense of security, belonging, continuity, purpose, achievement and significance. By working closely with their residents, they support them to meet these senses and achieve their goals. Like resident ambassador Edith, who is so proud of her role, which includes everything from interviewing potential staff to showing new residents around the home.

The 60 spacious bedrooms are beautifully decorated and have ensuite wet rooms. Some rooms also have direct patio access to the gardens, as do the main lounge and garden room. Residents are very much encouraged to bring personal ornaments, pictures and small items of furniture to make their rooms their own.

Barony Lodge has beautifully decorated light and airy lounges. The home also has a themed art deco cinema room with a popcorn machine. And residents enjoy home-cooked meals in the dining rooms.

There is an on-site vintage tea room; a lovely spot to catch up with loved ones, who are welcome at any time, over tea and home-baked cakes.

The team also embraces the local community into life at Barony Lodge, running a monthly dementia café.

The sensory gardens have been landscaped with raised flower beds, for residents who enjoy gardening. There are fruit trees and lots of places to sit and enjoy the sunshine - and the resident rabbits!

With a hair and beauty salon, complete with a nail bar, residents can enjoy being pampered. The home also has a giant tablet, for interactive games, especially designed for residents living with dementia.

Barony Lodge is located in the market town of Nantwich, with excellent transport links and close to local shops.

After a long stay in hospital, my sister entered Barony Lodge feeling very depressed and weak. After 6 months, and the marvellous, care, compassion and encouragement shown by the wonderful caring staff, she is almost her old self again. Nothing is too much trouble and the management bend over backwards
to help with any concerns that might arise. They are all, really The Best.

My mother moved into Barony Lodge in October 2020, the deputy manager and manager made our transition, despite COVID) as welcoming and positive as we could have hoped. Mum wanted to be on the ground floor with a door out into the garden, but as it’s winter she hasn’t made full use of that yet, she has
gone upstairs and enjoys looking out of the picture windows up there and chatting to staff and residents. She finds the gentleman in charge of the entertainments absolutely delightful and enjoys the quizzes and crosswords he entertains the residents with.
Mum has found the food wholesome and freshly prepared.
The staff are extremely kind and helpful, her only problem is that given the masks they have to wear they tend to shout which for anyone with a hearing aid is impossible to hear, just normal and as clearly as possible is her only plea.!! This is only a comment, not a complaint.

It wasn't an easy decision to make when my aunt was no longer safe to live in her own home. I and another family member went to see 2 other places before we visited Barony Lodge, we knew on that visit it was the right place for her. The building the staff and all the facilities felt so warm and inviting,
she soon settled in and is very happy and content. During these unprecedented times the staff have gone above and beyond there duty to ensure the residents are safe and well looked after.

It has been such a difficult year for care homes. Whilst we have been in this COVID-19 situation some decisions have had to be taken that no one would wish in an ideal world, especially the limits placed on physical contact, but the intent throughout has been to keep our loved ones safe. I am very glad

Mum's stay at Barony Lodge was full of laughter and kindness. The housekeeping team made sure that Mum's room was always immaculate; just the way she liked it. Mum loved the food and being waited on. She really did think that she was in a hotel. It gives me comfort to know that Mum enjoyed her time
at Barony Lodge.

Barony Lodge is an excellent care home. I consider that I was very fortunate to be placed here, following the fire at another home. The staff are very friendly and caring and the recommendation could not be better. I am very grateful to the staff for a very pleasant six month's stay.

Following the fire at another care home (which left most of us with only the clothes we stood up in), my daughter was given this place for me to stay in until a permanent home could be found. Also needed everything to go in it (i.e. the permanent home). There were about 20 residents admitted to the
top floor which was super clean (never used before) and had been fitted out with all we needed in the bathroom. The staff, all, were very kind and helpful and full board was provided. We were looked after brilliantly.

My mum was moved here in August 2019 after a fire at her previous home. It was such a relief that she had somewhere so nice to go. The management and staff have all been very caring and supportive. My mum wasn't very well when she moved into the home, but after 4 months her health and wellbeing have
improved dramatically, she didn't eat very well before but has really enjoyed all the meals and the tea and cake in the afternoons. While she has been in Barony Lodge we have had complete peace of mind as she has been so well looked after.

My cousin moved into Barony Lodge Care Home in June 2019. After a hospital stay of six weeks and three weeks at a care home after discharge from hospital. When discharged from hospital she was very weak and frail. During the nine weeks at Barony Lodge, we have seen a tremendous change in her. She's
very happy living at Barony Lodge. The staff are all very professional, give a great deal of attention to all residents, keeping them very clean and tidy. Meals served in beautiful surroundings, all areas are clean and bedrooms are spacious with a large bed, all excellent.
