The home features bright and spacious communal areas and separate dining areas on all floors.

Tasty and healthy meals are prepared daily by the onsite catering team, and residents can choose to enjoy mealtimes in the dining room or in their own room if preferred. Individual dietary needs and preferences will be catered for.

From the day my wife was admitted, I have seen nothing but dedication from every one of the staff. They will always go that little bit extra to make sure my wife is comfortable. The food is very good, and the staff always make sure drinks are available.

I chose Scissett Mount after going to look around and meeting the manager and deputy manager. You could tell they were passionate about caring for the elderly. Mum is very happy, clean and well cared for, but the main thing is I know she is supported at all times by all the amazing staff. Mum has dementia
but sometimes says, “I love this hotel”.

My husband stayed in Scissett Mount for two weeks of respite care. The care was excellent with friendly staff. The food was good. My husband and I appreciated the garden and being able to sit out there. The room was comfortably furnished and had an excellent ensuit. I would certainly recommend it to
friends.

My husband was admitted from hospital after a fall when he broke his wrist due to his MS. He usually uses two sticks or a frame to walk. From the very first moment he was admitted, he was made to feel welcome, safe and nothing has been too much trouble. Every member of staff we have come into contact
with, whether carers or management, has proved to be kind, caring and professional. It is a testament to all that every resident has seemed happy and content. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.

Scissett Mount care home was great for me after I got Covid. The hospital sent me there to recover. All the staff were brilliant and caring, couldn't do enough for you. Food was good. The room was very good. The manager is very good. I would recommend it to anyone. It helped me recover to home. I shall
miss the place and staff.

We moved my 92-year-old mum here after she had spent 19-months in another care home.
“Nothing is too much trouble,” says my mum. The staff are so lovely, helpful and friendly.
“I feel so safe and looked after,” says my mum. The staff are extremely well managed and often pop in on my mum to check
if she needs anything.
Any medical issues have been dealt with speedily, and the manager has rung us to keep us informed.
We have nothing but praise for the home, manager and her team. We feel confident in approaching the manager regarding any aspect of my mum’s care. She is completely on the ball, even though my mum has only been there a short time.
The best thing we did was move my mum to Scissett Mount.

I have found the staff to be very welcoming and open to suggestions. They are focused on the well-being of the guests and respond quickly to questions or comments. When I call, staff will take the phone to Mum and make sure she can talk easily. Mum is generally happy at Scissett Mount. I was very happy
with how they dealt with the passing of my dad in circumstances. Thank you all again.

Fantastic home or my brother who has dementia. Arrived in a really bad state, as he has been neglected by people who were supposed to be looking after him. The carers are really good, and he is happy being there. They will go out of their way to help him. He has really perked up in the short time he
has been there. These people are an asset to their profession.

My mum spent 3-weeks there on an intermediate assessment placement after being discharged from the hospital. She'd been diagnosed with vascular dementia after suffering a bang to the head as a result of a fall at home. In the 5-weeks she was in the hospital, she was extremely confused, and I was informed
that she would almost definitely need 24-hour care once she was discharged.
Whilst in the care of the manager and her fantastic team at Scissett Mount, she made an amazing recovery, so much so, that I was able to bring her home yesterday. I'm sure that the care she received played a big part in her recovery, and we are so grateful. I understand that returning home in my mum's circumstances is extremely rare.
Whenever I rang or visited, all the staff were so understanding and professional.
The home itself is very modern and fitted out to a very high standard. I wasn't allowed to go onto the floor or to see her room due to Covid, but the reception area and grounds are very pleasant and quiet.

The staff at Scissett Mount are wonderful - communication is key and I have every confidence in the fact that Mum's needs are being met. She is always complimentary about the high standard of meals provided and enjoys the activities and opportunity to socialise. There have been a lot of changes over

My mum has been at Scissett Mount for over a year now. The staff are amazing - very professional and personable. They treat the residents as if they were their own family. The home itself is spotlessly clean, and the resident's rooms are lovely. I would highly recommend.

My father died at Scissett Mount recently, and I would like to use this forum to thank the whole of the staff at the facility for the highest standards of professionalism - caring and compassionate. When contacting the home, I think it was significant that I was often referred to the registered manager,
(in overall charge of the faculty) usually without my asking. Conversations were always friendly but professional, not rushed, and reassuring.
The standard of support for my father has, I feel been outstanding. On the day my father died; I was actually allowed in the building to say goodbye. (Stringent Covid measures were in place). The environment was pleasant and scrupulously fresh and clean. Scissett Mount has clearly made my fathers last days as good as they could be.

My dad moved into Scissett Mount in January 2021, there couldn’t be a worse time when as a country we are in a National lockdown whilst in the middle of a pandemic. With all our concerns, the manager and staff couldn’t have been anymore reassuring and supportive. It’s a time of huge adjustment for Dad
and us alike, but the homes welcoming and professional manner has been superb. Within no time at all, it is very clear they have a thorough understanding of my dad’s personal needs and did everything to ensure he was supported through his isolation period and then his integration into the home fully. The property is presented beautifully with great attention to detail. The bedrooms are spacious and have their own TVs and en-suite. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and we are actively encouraged to contact them for a chat about Dad or any general questions and also to set up ways to contact Dad either via video call or in the covid safe relative's visitors pod in the garden.

My wife has been a resident at Scissett Mount care home since March. She suffers from dementia and has other medical issues and conditions. This home is very well designed and is newly built with every facility required for comfort and care. From my experience I can say that all the staff, without exception,
are very understanding of my wife's condition and needs and are providing for her the very best professional 24-hour care. Due to the hard work of all the staff Scissett Mount has, I understand, remained COVID free. In all the attached categories I can confidently mark them as "excellent" and can happily recommend this care home.

Mum sadly died on 29th April (not COVID) at Scissett Mount. Although I could not visit her due to the COVID-19 restrictions I was incredibly well supported by the manager and her staff. Their care, compassion and attention to professional and personal details were second to none and this was and has
been a huge comfort to both myself and family.
Mum took up residency at Scissett Mount in September 2019 and has been well looked after. Mum suffered from dementia and was in danger of losing her dignity had she stayed at home. The staff at Scissett Mount restored her pride, her dignity, and her well-being by providing a safe, secure, and grown up environment for her where she was welcomed and valued. I could not have asked for more and can not praise highly enough the manager and her dedicated team. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone.
