Since my Dad has been in the care of your home, I am happy and relieved, and now not as worried as I was when he was living alone.
I can honestly say all of the staff are amazing and give everything they do for my Dad 110%, no matter what level the help is!
Dad is still in the settling down period,
which can be hard for us all, but we know now that Dad is safe and looked after 24 hours a day.
Dad enjoys it when we take him out on the vastly different places he can choose from in the minibus and also likes us to take him out separately, even just for lunch/dinner!
I do believe Dad has so much more social life than he would have at home, and we all enjoy that (not just Dad!).
I am so happy we managed to get Dad a room in your beautiful home, as I don't think we could or would have picked a better Care Home for our much loved 'daddy'.
Again, I can't thank you all enough! The whole team are amazing!

Dad has now been in Newton House for 10 weeks now, he took a little time to settle but with the loving, caring support of all the wonderful management and staff he has settled well. The home is immaculate and the food choices varied and all homemade and Dad has had no complaints!
Dad is thriving -
he is happy, well-looked after and well-fed.
The communication with all the staff is open and honest and nothing is too much trouble - any initial concerns/issues have been dealt with professionally and efficiently.
The range of weekly activities and outings is fabulous and includes all hobbies/interests and the staff who go out of their way to know each resident's likes and dislikes ensure everyone is included.
Newton House is just like one big happy family and we are very pleased to continue to be a part of that.

Newton House Care Home is outstanding. Not only basic care but the extra activities offered to residents. As a family, we feel the care and needs of the residents are bespoke to each individual and there is a huge focus on person-centred care. There are several sitting areas and gardens to sit in with
other residents and family when visiting. All the staff are professional, friendly and extremely caring. We could not be happier with the care here for my husband.

Cannot fault the staff for the care they give my mum, she has a great relationship with them and they look after her very well. Her reaction when she sees them shows this. The staff member of reception always goes out of her way to make her laugh. Such a credit to Newton House. The trips are also a
huge favourite of my mum's and seeing her enjoy the with the driver is lovely.

My overall experience has been good, however, the food is very bland, unseasoned and for me tasteless. Also, I like a particular cereal or granola, they can offer neither, curries don't even taste like curry.

My great aunt has recently moved to Newton House and I visited earlier this month. It was a lovely home with very friendly staff and residents - everyone took the time to chat. There are always social events happening and my great aunt seems very happy and settled there.

I am extremely satisfied with the level of care provided at Newton House with a few small areas of feedback. Stimulation of residents could be more proactive. All staff should display name badges at all times. The visibility of staff at weekends requires review. Activity programme to be better communicated
in advance. Involvement of family in activities should be considered in a more planned way.

Visited a few times. Staff were warm and inviting. Residents were always smiling and chatty and looked very much at home. The manager was approachable and chatty. Very homely feeling. The home is bright and airy and has plenty of cosy and private area. The rooms are large and spacious. Lovely home.

My husband has been in this care home for almost three years, though it has had challenges the staff have worked very hard to ensure that residents have had the best care they could give. My husband is very settled there and both of us are treated with respect and dignity by all staff. They are very

We are very happy with the range of activities available to my aunt and the support she receives in improving her mobility.

Our elderly aunt has resided at Newton House for over two years. We have found this care home to be a fantastic place for her. The staff are very friendly and caring. There are lots of things organised for the residents too, both within the home and outings in the mini bus. Staff are all very approachable
re any minor issues that may arise. The building itself is modern with great facilities including a cinema, café, hairdressing room and gardens.

My sister has been a resident for a year. When first admitted to the home there were lots of deficiencies with a great turnover of staff which had a detrimental effect on the level of care provided. Now after the placement of the new manager and the recruitment of staff, there has been a substantial
improvement of care delivered. Impressed by the level of activities arranged by the well-being and lifestyle coach. The manager has had a refreshing effect on the organisation and turned the home around. Overall a good improvement, hoping that it continues.

Lara holds an MSc Adult Nursing and a diploma in Leadership, Management & Palliative Care. Working in healthcare since the age of 17, Lara has experience in oncology and haematology. Within hospices and care homes, she has worked as a Lead Nurse, Operations Manager and Home Manager. With a track record of improving quality and care within care homes, Lara is dedicated to the sector and creating outstanding environments for residents. Outside of work, Lara enjoys reading and cooking but her biggest love is animals - her menagerie includes five cats, two dogs, three ferrets and two giant African snails!

Having joined the team at Newton House in Spring 2024, Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge in care and customer experience to his role. He grew up close to Glasgow and recently returned after 20 years of living and working in the South East of England. As your first port of call, you can rely on Thomas for support and logistical help as you embark on the journey of finding the right care. Providing support and an exceptional level of service is high on Thomas’ list of priorities, along with making time to get to know new residents and their loved ones. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys dog walks in the countryside and spending time with his family and friends, though the majority of his spare time is spent looking after his three horses, who have also relocated to Scotland with him.

My role involves managing finances, including payroll and fees for the care home, as well as offering support to our relatives and team members. I have worked in the care sector for over 11 years and during that time, have worked to achieve an Honours and Master’s degrees in Psychology. I started as a care assistant and an activities coordinator before moving on to administration, which I feel has helped me to develop a deep understanding of working in care, as well as a firsthand understanding of the daily challenges and rewards of caring for others. I am a bit of a geek and love to continuously learn. My biggest hobby is reading, I read a lot in my spare time, and I always have a book with me everywhere I go. I am married and we recently eloped to Australia to get married in the woods. We have three daughters, who I enjoy spending time with, and try to value time with my family. I also enjoy going on walks with our beautiful chocolate labrador, Coco, although she likes to get covered in mud.
