He grew up close to Glasgow and recently returned after 20 years of living and working in the South East of England. My name is Amanda, and I am the Business Administrator at Newton House Care Home. My role involves managing finances, including payroll and fees for the care home, as well as offering support to our relatives and team members. I have worked in the care sector for over 11 years and during that time, have worked to achieve an Honours and Master’s degrees in Psychology. I started as a care assistant and an activities coordinator before moving on to administration, which I feel has helped me to develop a deep understanding of working in care, as well as a firsthand understanding of the daily challenges and rewards of caring for others. I am a bit of a geek and love to continuously learn. My biggest hobby is reading, I read a lot in my spare time, and I always have a book with me everywhere I go.
